I will be going back to them for my next truck. I spent 6 hours there unable to make up my mind on what i wanted. They were patient, polite and professional and help me find the exact truck i wanted with all the features at the right price.
  • Buying my new Escape

    5 out of 5 starsby SteveDave18 on 03/26/2016

I had gone to Ed Kenley Ford a few weeks earlier I was looking around in the used car section Mike one of their sales people came out and answered all my questions, let me look at all the vehicles I wanted and didn't pressure once, I left and after speaking with my wife a few weeks later we returned since Mike was great to work with I asked for him and even though he primarily works the used car lot he was helpful and knowledgeable with the new cars, so we got our brand new Ford Escape that day. My only complaint would have to be that even thought they did their best I still wish that the process could've been faster.
  • Scott Call Ford F150 4X4

5 out of 5 starsby scottfisherman on 03/21/2016

Very good experience, Paul, Jason and Dave all did a great job of answering our questions in a professional manner. One thing that would make it easier if the sales contract would have been uploaded to Edmunds to help make the gas card promotion easier to complete.
  • My 2014 FORD ESCAPE

    5 out of 5 starsby sunshine2158 on 01/12/2016

Recently bought my Ford Escape from Dean Betz and I am loving it. It's beautiful. Dean was such a nice young man and I appreciate the way he handled everything. I love everything about my Escape and am so looking forward to taking a road trip. I hope that if you are in the market for a great used car or whatever you go by ED KENLEY FORD and see what they have to offer. I was planning on shopping around. Went there first and fell in love with my Escape. Had to look no more. I also purchased the extended bumper to bumper warranty that covers the car as long as I own it. 'Which I hope will be forever. f

No hassle. No pushiness. Just an easy going dealership.
  • Tire Service and Ford Concerns

5 out of 5 starsby junglejohn on 11/19/2015

I was satisfied with the "warranty repair" on my Taurus. But, I have other concerns: (1) When I get messages to "trade-in" my Taurus, I hesitate, because I have a few concerns, namely: (2) The emergency brake rubber pad. It wears out often, but Ford "did not have a better idea". The first time it "wore out", I went to the Dealership (Ed Kenley) to buy a new pad. I found it was "covered" by the warranty -- But the mechanic "not only" replaced the worn out pad, he replaced the "entire next higher assembly!....pedal, and all the cables going back to the wheels. What a waste! Just to replace a worn rubber pad! Now I go to Auto Supply stores to but, just the rubber pad! None actually fit....the closest one falls off often; and each time I get on my knees to "put it back on", I think of "ford's half-assed idea". (3) Instrument panel light bulbs. Where do you get those sorry things? I have had "all" of them replaced "twice"; the "labor" cost is a real "bitch"! My brake and tail light bulbs have "never been replaced"....they are "easy" to get to; but when it comes to "high labor replacement instrument panel bulbs" you install "cheap crap"? Why?? To "gouge" me to replace them? If you do not give me a satisfactory response to that question; my next new car will probably be something "other" than a Taurus SEL. (4) "The Training" of your mechanics, and their ":skill". Almost two years ado, I stopped using your main shop at Ed Kinley. I had brought the car in for a "check-up" before driving to Colorado. Your "service advisor" said I probably did not need one, because a complete service from a "mature mechanic" about a month before, indicated everything was OK. Just to be "sure", I asked for the "multi point inspection"...."stupid me"! She assigned a "couple new guys". About an hour later they "found" about $900.00 worth of work....there was a "tiny" leak in the brake cylinder (but the fluid was not low); they wanted to replace the back brake cylinders, because one was leaking (I saw no leak). The "mechanic: said it "was so bad", that he would "fail me" on a state inspection. I asked her (service advisor) if these new fellows "if these new guys "were ford Trained"? Upon her assurance, I agreed to the work. Several hours, and "several hundred dollars" later, I found that my brake lines had been flushed, all new fluid. front rotors "turned", new back brake pads and re-built cylinders. Two months later, I went to Quick Lane for an oil change and complete service. The "experienced and thorough" mechanic called me out to look at my rear wheel. The old, cheap spring "your shop, new guys" had used had broken, and he heard a noise when he "spun the tire" with his hand.....that broken spring had been "gouging and scratching" my new back break pad. Quick Lane fixed it....They are "excellent"! (5) I heard later that "both" your "new guys" had been fired. If the service advisor had "assigned" Rusty Hunt (excellent mechanic), I would not be writing this. And "might" be leaning more toward "a new ford"....competent and thorough maintenance is a "big thing" for me!
  • Purchase of Used 2007 F250 4x4

I have been shopping for a used 05' - 07' Ford SD truck for about three weeks and traveled to see a few. I was really blown away when I found myself in the used car underground. Fraudelant titles, rolled back odometers, misleading advertising and vehicles that had major problems. I decided to look at Ford dealers directly and I realized it was my best decision. I seen many good vehicles, then online the vehicle I liked the most, that met our needs and goals was at Ed Kensley Ford in Layton UT. This dealership is a preffered dealer with USAA and when my wife checked the vehicle ours was the first vehicle displayed on the USAA Car buying Assistance Web page. We made an inquiry and George was the salesman that responded and he did a great job communicating with us during the purchase. I was very demanding and he was very patient. Worked out well. I am a firm believer to follow trusted sources and I thank you Ed Kensley for your commitment to excellence and supporting active and us retired veterens and providing a good product..
  • A kinda [non-permissible content removed] salesman

    2 out of 5 starsby caseyh1 on 10/19/2015

Their warranty is great and they processed the loan quickly. We walked in with a pre-approved loan but the salesmen handed us a "request for credit" application. I told him that we did not want our credit pulled again because I didn't want it to reduce our credit score any more. He insisted that it was just to verify what we had already told our bank and that he wouldn't be pulling our credit. I called him out on this 3 times but he kept his story. I knew he would get commission if he could get us into one of their loans. We finished the business part with him and walked into the finance managers office to finish the deal. He said, "here is your new interest rate." I explained that we didn't want our credit run and he said he didn't know that, did I want him to call in the salesman. It was 8 pm and I wasn't in the mood for drama so I said no, so that we could finish up. The fact that the salesman outright lied to my face 3 times about this credit item tells me that they have no heartburn lying about more critical items. I needed to trade in my Mercury as it was a lemon and get a Toyota that they had on the lot. I knew that I would get more for a trade on a Mercury at a Ford dealership, so that is why I was there. I won't go back for any reason.
  • Dealership Needs to Keep Parts on Hand

5 out of 5 starsby junglejohn on 09/09/2015

I am pleased with the "work done"; but "not" with the quality of the spare parts. Twice I have had "all the bulbs" replaced in the panel/dash lights. Now two-thirds of them are burned out again. I hate to "pay for that high priced labor" and the dealership provide "poor quality parts" for the mechanic to use. Also I am "not pleased" with the "parking brake cover". Initially, it wore out fast; but there was no replacement part. I had to order the "whole assembly", over one-hundred dollars, when all I needed was a "simple rubber pad" covering the parking brake pedal. Why? The "whole assembly" was not necessary.

  • Above and beyond my expectations

    5 out of 5 starsby Oldduffer2 on 07/23/2015

Anthony, in the quick lane found my rear tires needed replacing during a service aptmt, went to Les Swab found a set of tires matching the ones put on a month ago and brought them back and mounted them for me. Then took my vehicle to repair for an air bag dash light, which Vince got on took care of that repair also. The detailing was great also. Thanks much to all involved.

  • Ed Kenley Ford - Don't Go Anywhere Else for Service on Your Ford

5 out of 5 starsby KNBeaulieu on 06/24/2015

This review is NOT based on a sample of one. I have been to Ed Kenley Ford on a number of occasions and with every visit for service on my F-250 6.4L Diesel I've been overwhelmingly pleased with everything from the personnel on staff to the results of the work done by those behind the scenes. Thank you!

We have been at your showroom multiple times checking out the new vehicles in anticipation of replacing one of our existing vehicles. Every time we came in we were treated with courtesy and respect. We had dealt with Ron Butcher in the past so we almost always sought him out. He is extraordinary in his knowledge of the vehicles you have at your dealership but also very knowledgeable about all vehicles. When we purchased our 2014 Edge two weeks ago we were not even planning to buy a vehicle that day but Ron made the deal so sweet that we couldn't pass it up. I love the Edge. It is easy to get in and out of for me and handles so beautifully I think I've died and gone to heaven. Sometimes my husband even gets to drive it. Ron knew all about the electronics in the vehicle, and I'll admit it was quite daunting at first. He walked us through all the details and made it just plain fun. When we took it in for the undercoating and leather and paint treatments it was so easy. No hassle. And the color is the BEST! We have taken our vehicles to your dealership to have service done on them for several years now and we have almost always dealt with Cody in your service department. He is exceptional. It would be much easier to go to the Ford dealer close to where we live but we have never seen service like you folks provide and are never treated better than when we are at Kenley Ford. Thank you for making this transition and all your service so easy for us.
