    Employees were in general courteous and friendly. Specially the sales lady Debra Hernandez. Debra was very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and trustworthy. She took time to explain things and listened to our comments. Excellent sales person! Her attitude made us decide to buy the car at this dealership.

    This was my 2nd vehicle to purchase from Gillman. Our salesman, Pegram, was great! I dread car shopping and even on 2 hours of sleep, the experience went fairly quick. I didn't like the pressure to buy extended features but understand that's part of process.

    Hazel is always very helpful and knows my name when i come in. She is great. Stopped by the showroom where i was warmly greeted by Ken who sold me my car. Got my permanent plates and my lighted door sills installed on my Civic Si. Great day !

    I was referred to PoPo (Daniel) @ Gillman Rosenberg TX. My 2015 was my first lease was a little concerned how smooth the process would go from other lease owners. When I was ready my husband and I went to Gillman and located Daniel who was already assisting a customer. He assured us he would give us his time if we decided to wait. About 30 minutes passed but he made sure we were comfortable and with readin material on 2017 models I was interested in. Once he was ready the entire process was smooth. I looked into and SUV but when it didn't match my pocket I already knew I would continue to keep the Honda Accord. It was the effort but I needed to stay in my range and Daniel made that happen. He treats you like you have been friends a long time. He provided me a loaner until Monday to prepare my car. He sent me home comfortable and I had no worries. He called on Monday and picked up my car with a full tank of gas ready to go. I love my car!!! I just went to pick up my plates and he greeted me with kindness and even offered to put plates on for me but I did next day at home. I know he's my salesman and I would refer to him any day.   • poor experience

    The only reason I'm giving the dealership 2 stars instead of 1 is because I had a very pleasant experience with their internet sales rep, Debra Hernandez prior to stepping in to the actual store. I went in to the store having already done a test drive (elsewhere) and having finalized a drive out price for a Honda Odyssey EX. The whole process still took an excruciating 3 hours of signing papers, waiting for an hour, signing more papers, waiting for an hour, and then waiting for someone to give me the keys to go. In addition, I received conflicting statements about insurance and financing. The floor manager said my current car insurance would cover the new car for the 1st 30 days while the finance sales rep was emphatic that I needed to get coverage on my new car within the 1st 72 hours. The floor manager also recommended that I pay off the car within the 1st statement so that I could take advantage of the $500 financial promotional discount without incurring much interest while the finance sales rep said that if I paid the car off before the 4th statement, I wouldn't be eligible for the $500 discount. I don't think they meant to be dishonest, I think it just reflects the lack of thorough training - those questions are common for customers to ask and all sales reps whether they're on the floor or in finance should have one consistent answer. Finally, as I'm about to sign the papers, I notice that the drive out price was $230 higher than what had been quoted to me through my email communication with Debra. When I pointed out, the sales rep took it to their manager to be corrected. $230 is no small amount of money and could cover months of gas. I received no apology from the manager, whose fault it was. And when I asked the sales rep how the error came about, he claimed that the manager forgot to calculate in the fees related to the title. Best case scenario - the manager is doing their job poorly - the email clearly said drive out price so I don't see how the manager could have mixed that up. Worst case scenario - they were intentionally trying to deceive me by sneaking up the price on me. While the 3 hour wait time and the conflicting statements about insurance and financing were annoyances, the attempt to $230 extra is what motivates me to make sure I post this rating.

    My family has been extremely happy with Gillman Honda. We have purchased multiple Hondas from them and will continue to return. The hour drive and great service is worth the deals we get. Thanks guys!

    Deeply regret purchasing here. The service dept.(Neville) is excellent,and the only reason that I considered buying here. The front end Sales and Finance people are a throwback to the 1960's prior to consumer protection laws. If you like the offer - counter offer "I'll ask the boss" game for hours. If you miss deceptive finance practices from the days before "Truth In Lending" then this might be the place to purchase your next Honda...If not then run away I'm certain that there are more honest people in prison! They must have somehow purchased their BBB accreditation? Caveat Emptor !

  • Stay away from Gillman!

    I had the absolute worst experience with this dealership! The first salesperson I dealt with was delightful. his name was Willie and he was in the internet sales department. I would gladly do business with him. But then I met Mr. Gillman! I heard him say things about my mother (who was with me at the time) when he did not think I was listening. Specifically, he called her a bully. I heard him speaking in the most unprofessional manner to his sales team. The arrogance was astounding! When I confronted him about the things he said he denied it all. We agreed to disagree. He would do absolutely nothing to make the situation right. I have never been around such an unprofessional business owner in my life. As a single woman going in for a car buying experience, I left feeling totally violated! If not for his actions, I would be in a new Honda CRV from Gillman, but because of the arrogance of Mr. Gillman, I am now in a new CRV from [another dealership]!

    I negotiated a deal for a 09 civic after being shown the car. I returned the following day after being called by them and their agreeing to the negotiated out the door final price. I asked if it was the same car and was told, yes. After driving for an hour (we live in the country) I arrived at the dealer to see the car and instructed them that it need to be cleaned. I was informed that it was a different car and mine had been moved and this was just a different one put in the empty spot where mine was removed. Just upon handing them $17,500 and having signed all paperwork, I held back and thought to take it for a drive. When I approached the car I had looked at (or so I thought), I was informed that this was not my car and my car was in the back. We went to the 'in the back' car and was shown one very similar. I looked car over and noticed a chip in the door and minor scratches on the body as well as the rubber truck tray missing. They promised to replace the tray and repair the door chip. My wife refused and wanted another car brought as a replacement. Upon telling them to change the paperwork with the other VIN, I was informed that the car I was being provided was not the car we had all looked at and agreed on but another that they felt that they could make more money on due to it had no locking wheel nuts like the one we were shown....like I give a hoot about locking wheel nuts on plastic rim covers. They first lied to me numerous times and then tried to switch cars to boost their OHP margin. The only way to save face on this would be to sell the car shown me and provide a written apology for the deceipt shown me. If they are this desperate to save $20 lug nuts as to lie, then I will bring my business elsewhere. Horrible experience and cost much time/money. Clearly NO CONCERN for the consumer but ONLY for what they can get even at the expense of honorable morals and values. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Chances are that you will be mislead....BUYER BEWARE!

    We bought a new Odyssey in Marrch 2009. We visited this dealership first to look at the models and test drive the van. Jeffvin the internet department was great to work with. He was responsive to my emails but yet not at all pushy. When I showed Jeff another dealership's drive out quote that was a few hundred dollars less, he matched the price - even though his model had an addtional option. After I bought the van and took it home I could not get the HomeLink to work with my garage door, even after working on the phone with the HomeLink people. I have another car with HomeLink and it worked fine so I suspected the van. When I went back to the dealer they let me take a different new van home just to test it on my garage door. Turned out it was my garage door opener. Going out of the way to help a customer after the sale really impressed me.
