Professional, courteous, no pressure, straight talker, kind and friendly - that's Roger.… I have a feeling he comes across that way to all of his customers. I really do appreciate the way he treated me during the couple of weeks we talked. I would give Roger and his team a "thumbs-up 10" overall rating!Excellent work by this dealer and Good experience

Justin Bunker doesn't talk much but worked very hard to get the exact car that we want at a great price, that's my kind of guy! A salesman… from another dealership just told me they didn't have what I wanted, therefore could not even give me a quote, did he want my business or not? Justin made sure that I was happy with the whole process and buying from Brandon Tomes was painless, they treat customers with respect, period.Great Experience with Curtis and Kyle
by TxNewbSub on 04/03/2017Had a great car buying experience with Curtis and Kyle. Both answered all of my questions and were very helpful in getting my new Impreza Limited 2017. The first time I visited the dealership, Curtis greeted us and was happy to provide a… test drive. I informed him that I was only looking and just researching at this point. He said no problem and didn't pressure me to "Sign Today". After the test drive, he answered all the questions I had and said if I needed anything to reach out to him. I checked back in with him on Monday and asked for some quotes and he promptly replied. After some email exchanges we agreed on the price for a model that was still in transit. I came in a couple days later to put a hold on the vehicle. Kyle assisted me since on securing the vehicle and all we had to do was wait. Would you be believe the car was delivered "Early"! I was able to pickup the vehicle Sat Afternoon and they had it out front with my name on it. All in all, a very nice vehicle purchasing experience.A very neutral car buying experience - Terrible after purchase care
by HorseMom1025 on 03/31/2017I did all my research and knew exactly what I wanted to pay, what my trade in was worth and what features I wanted. I was able to negotiate most of the deal via email, and during a test drive (to be sure) I gave them the detail on my trade… in, so they included a quote based on the description of the car. I did not lie about the condition of my trade and they offered me $3K when sending me my pricing options. When we brought the car in, they tried to change the deal. Oh, we didn't know it was a standard. Yes, you did. I told you it was. Oh, well we didn't know it had been in one accident (throws car fax report on desk). Actually, I told you about that too and I can show you the insurance claim and the invoices that show it was fully repaired...7 years ago! Oh, well, it has some cosmetic scratches in the paint. It's 10 years old. The scratches in the paint are minor and only visible when you get really close. We almost walked, but they finally backed down. During the purchase process, it was made clear the car was for me...the wife. However, they have directed ALL correspondence, phone calls, email, direct mail, etc. to my husband. Every call he tells them, talk to my wife. Nothing changes. Sorry, but I find that very rude and not very customer friendly or focused. My husband doesn't drive the car, he is only on the title because we like to keep all our property in both names. But they cannot seem to grasp the concept that a married woman might be the primary contact. Truly frustrating. The final nail in the coffin for me is their service hours. Only weekdays, only during regular working hours. On Saturday, it's by appointment only and must be an "emergency"...otherwise they will only see you on a weekday. Not very customer focused at all. I cannot recommend this dealership. I LOVE my Subaru Outback, but I do not like this dealership.Fantastic 2017 Subaru Outback Purchase Experience!
by Metric_Space on 03/28/2017I purchased a new 2017 Subaru Outback at Brandon Tomes Subaru this past weekend, and the primary reason for my purchase from Brandon Tomes Subaru versus other Subaru dealerships was the unparalleled level of dedication and customer support… that Dana Hews from their sales team provided in answering all detailed upfront questions, providing a very detailed test drive, and the post-purchase decision follow up with highlighting and flagging key areas in all of the user manuals and supporting resources with which I should be familiar to optimize all of the benefits of my new car. Dana even invested an extended amount of time (multiple hours) in personally explaining and demonstrating all of the detailed controls and features throughout all sections of the state-of-the-art dashboard, and how these benefits can really enhance my daily and long-term driving experiences. It was a very educational experience that I have not seen previously at other car dealerships (Subaru or other car dealers). I would unconditionally recommend purchasing a Subaru from Brandon Tomes Subaru because of the tireless dedication and phenomenal focus on customer satisfaction that Dana Hews exhibited at all times. Even days following my purchase, Dana followed up and called me to ask whether I had any concerns or questions and if I am pleased with my Subaru Outback purchase. I am definitely pleased beyond expectations, and have never had a car purchase experience that was any more pleasant and rewarding. It is also very important to acknowledge that beyond just my decision to purchase the Subaru Outback and the fantastic sales team support I received, Brandon Tomes Subaru has outstanding service and maintenance professionals. I had some initial questions and requests for the Brandon Tomes Subaru Service Team, and Russell Lilly, one of the service lead managers, went above and beyond by addressing all of these considerations immediately and beyond expectations. I had known other family members who were raving about Brandon Tomes Subaru Service, and I can now personally concur why their service team is so highly regarded.Best car buying experience ever!

The maintenance guys also took the time to precisely describe… the details of maintenance and costs. They didn't leave any thing to chance or surprise us with strange fees. by johnwongtj on 10/02/2016Don't come! Been here today, My car was all good before I came, a "manager" test drive my trade in car and when he come back, there r smoke from my tail pipe. First time see smoke from my tail pipe line . No idea how and what he did in… the test drive but then they said this car worth less since there is smoke come out. Really?! Then I took my car for service at serval place and everything is good, the tech can't figure out why and how there is smoke from tail pipe.... worst experience ever, no idea what they do but they r good at lower trade in... at your own car expense.Bought new Subaru Outback

by Linda639 on 06/24/2014I stopped into the dealership without an appointment. The Salesperson, Roger, was very helpful. He did an excellent job of explaining all the Forester's features. The only problem I had was when I arranged financing. The finace person said… I could have the payment deducted from my bank account so I would not have to write and mail a check but did not tell me there would be an extra $399 fee for this. After calling the dealership the finance manager called me to tell me that they had cancelled this "service" for me.great people

For what it's worth, I would like to let you know that the staff at Brandon Tomes Subaru in McKinney , Texas went above and beyond anything I ever… would've expected from a car dealership. I very easily could have purchased my car from one of the Subaru dealerships in the Austin area, however, Brandon Tomes Subaru's customer service stood out among the rest. I was able to personally speak to Brandon Tomes and one of his Sales Managers even delivered the car to me on a Sunday. What impressed me even further was that they had a driver come back to Austin (about 225 miles) later in the week to pick up the car I was trading in that didn't run. I'm not sure if there is a more formal process, but I think Brandon Tomes Subaru should be recognized for this superior level of customer service that far outshines their peers (I spoke with 3 other Subaru dealerships in the Austin area, and 2 out of the 3 made me feel like all they cared about was their sales quota).Avoid like the plague

My salesman, Patrick, was very polite and accomodating. I never once felt pressured to make a purchase, and I… was treated with respect. Every service visit has been quick and easy, and the service manager is also polite. I will most definitely do business with this dealership again.Brandon Tomes Subaru IS NOT A CHARITY!
by jon_m on 06/11/2012updated 06/09/2025This is the most arrogant and disrespectful car dealership I've ever visited. They turned down my offer flat on a new Subaru, claiming they would lose money. Although Subaru dealers have a 30-35% profit margin on all accessories (according… to Consumer Reports), this place had the nerve to claim they couldn't take off more than 5%. What a load of manure! Other dealers advertise 10% off on parts to anyone who walks through their doors. The most insulting thing happened when the sales manager called me three days later. When I told him I made the deal in Denton that his dealership had turned down, he replied, "We're a for-profit company, not a charity." Then he hung up without saying another word. The district manager at Subaru needs to have a real heart-to-heart talk with whoever runs this dealership. I sure wouldn't want them representing *my* company.

Bob and Barbara Tomes began selling Ford vehicles in McKinney, Texas, on January 17, 1983. Their doors opened on a lot of about four acres with only 16 employees and about two dozen vehicles. As McKinney grew, so did the demand for Ford cars and trucks. In 1988 Bob and Barbara moved their dealership to its current six-acre site.
Bob Tomes Ford and Brandon Tomes Subaru now span 16 acres and feature new Ford, Lincoln and Subaru departments. We also feature a Pre-Owned Vehicle Department, Service and Parts Departments, Express Service Center, an expanded Rental Center and a Collision Repair Center.
