    My husband and I have been buying cars from West Houston Subaru for a number of years, most recently from Johnny Smith, who has been very accommodating. We love the cars, the sales force is knowledgeable and pleasant. No HARD sell here. (We have avoided some local Toyota dealerships due to their aggressive sales tactics). The service department is exceptional. We have come to expect a high level of competence from these folks, and they have never let us down. I can't say enough good things about this dealership and the wonderful, professional way it is run. I will be back when it is time to trade in the beautiful new WRX I just bought!

    Ask for Vince Ramacca if you want a pleasant, efficient car-buying Experience! He was helpful, informative, and made sure I got the exact car I wanted at a great price. I was especially glad that he and his co-workers didn't try any high-pressure sales tactics or try to add surprise costs during the closing. From start to finish, the focus was on my getting the car I wanted for the best price as quickly and easily as possible.

    After some surprising apathy from another Subaru dealer on two visits (!), we were very happy to be treated with respect and good humor by Johny S at West Houston Subaru. We drove quite a significant distance from our home to get there, and it was worth the trip. Fortunately, they had the Forester we wanted and Johny expedited our contract. Each dealership member we dealt with was friendly, courteous, and straightforward - qualities I appreciate in any business interaction. I (the primary driver of this car) am not a particularly tech-friendly consumer and Johny hit just the right balance between showing me all the things I needed to know to use my car effectively without overwhelming me with details. He also assured us that he would be more than happy to help with any questions which came up in the future and referenced a few other clients whom he had assisted after they had bought their car. He had a great sense of humor and seemed extremely well-versed in the workings of the car and electronics. His responses indicated that he really heard and understood where I was coming from as a customer and driver. At no point did we feel we were being "handled" or "upsold". We did a lot of research before buying the Forester and we feel that the price and terms were fair. Since we were clear on what we wanted, we did not want to spend several hours at a dealership haggling over price and bits and pieces. Everyone at West Houston, especially Johny, worked quickly to get our paperwork completed and get us on our way while still ensuring that all the important details were explained well. So far we are very happy with the new car, and we would recommend Johny and West Houston Subaru to anyone buying a Subaru. We intend to maintain a long relationship with this dealership based on the foundation established during our very positive purchase experience.
  • Messed up address to DMV, stalled and let me get the title myself

    I purchased a forester late Sep 2016 with full payment, the Certified Internet Sales Manager was OK, while the General Sales Manager is horrible. They messed up my document to DMV, I have provided my whole address with the apartment number to them, while they failed to provide my apartment number to DMV, so that I could not receive my registration or title. I found this issue in November, I called several times to ask them to correct my address with the DMV, while they did nothing but said we would change it perfunctorily. The original title was send Oct. 19, 2016, and they stalled this to Mar 2017, and finally asked me to get a duplicated copy in my local DMV, after I consistently calling them every month. What really piss me off is this is totally their fault, probably the finical department according to the calls, and the general sales manager felt really OK that I went out to get the document by myself. I PAID THE DOCUMENT PROCESSING FEE TO YOU NOT JUST TO DO THE JOB MYSELF! YOU TAKE THE MONEY BUT NOT GET THE JOB DONE, HOW COULD YOU FEEL FREE TO USE ME TO DO THIS! **The General Sales Manager refused to give any compensation other done the application fee to the duplicated title, while I need to mail the receipt to him first.** I literally do not care about the few bucks, but it is my time that I do not want to waste. Things would be much easier if they could contact the DMV and change my address first, at least if they tried to do so, I would feel better. But they didnt. If they tried and failed, they could at least told me they could not get it corrected and it would not stall so long for me to get the duplicate title. I need to constantly check my mails for months just to see if the title arrived, the feeling really sucks. The service is so bad and annoying, especially after you closed the deal. So a little advise to anyone who might purchase cars from this dealer (there is no issue with the cars and the price is good though), if you could get the documents done yourself, do not pay them for this. Or you would probably end up like me, spending the money, but need to clean the [non-permissible content removed] myself.

    This is strange to say but I wanted to buy a car from this dealership...I had visited a couple of times and had service done and just got a good vibe. It turned out my intuition was right. The salesmen were not pushy and the best part was when we picked the car up and got a detailed explanation and demo. of all of the features and they even helped us connect our phones to the bluetooth and showed us how to use it. No stone was left un-turned and another pet peeve of mine is when finance people pressure you to buy additional warranties, etc. Those were offered, but there was no hard sell. I really appreciate that. All in all a great experience and feel very comfortable recommending them to others.

    We had been looking at Subarus, specifically Foresters, for almost three years.We studied them and spoke with friends that owned them. One aspect of the Forester that really appealed to us was the style. Most SUV's in the class share very similar dimensions. Most of them have gone to more radical lines, leaving very tiny aft quarter windows. In turn, this has provided for limited visibility and substantially larger blind spots. The Forester, with still a somewhat boxy design, has big, tall windows, including larger rear quarter windows, that greatly reduce the blind spot area. The interior feels more spacious and not at all cramped. We had really been considering a certified, pre-owned Forester. The vehicles retain their value quite well so pre-owned examples are not a great deal cheaper than new ones. When West Houston Subaru offered us a price that was close to a pre-owned vehicle a couple of years older, along with free service for two years, and 0% financing, we couldn't pass it up. We found the dealer quite enjoyable to work with, and not at all pushy. I cannot write a critical review of the vehicle, itself, as we have only owned it one week. So far, however, it is everything we were expecting. We purchased the Limited model with the 2.5 engine. We felt this was the best model for the money. This vehicle was purchased with the eyesight option. It was bundled with nav, and an upgraded sound system. The eyesight is a complex system and comes with a nearly 100 page operating manual, in addition to the traditional owners manual for the vehicle. Under the right conditions it is a great system, but it also has its limitations. It will take time to become comfortably familiar with it. In my opinion, it is better suited for those who enjoy learning about, and using new technology. The eyesight is an option and a vast majority of the Foresters and Outbacks sold come without it. We hope to have many enjoyable years of service from this vehicle.

    I contacted West Houston Subaru through their webpage and Ryan Nguyen, the Internet Sales Manager at the dealership, responded immediately. He was very friendly and never pressurized me to purchase the car. He never wasted any of my time and always gave a quick response , even during non-business hours. I was given a great price much lower than the Invoice cost. He took care of all the documentation and financing process. I cannot expect a better customer experience. Ryan and his team at West Houston Subaru made my buying experience very pleasant and stress free. Thanks Ryan for helping me to purchase my Subaru Legacy.

    Just bought our 4th Subaru - 3rd Outback. What a great car buying experience I had with my salesman Ken Slen. No hard pressure tactics like their competitor across town. He gave clear answers to my questions and he asked all the right questions to see what exact package I wanted. Ken Slen is also the online sales go-to guy there. Go there for your next car.

    Best new car buying experience ever! No hassle, no pressure & no attempt to upsell. Troy Lynn gave best price per internet request. He even went the extra mile(36 r.t.) by driving me home & back because I forgot my checkbook! Who writes checks anymore?

    I was happy with my experience in buying a 2017 Forester at West Houston Subaru. My salesman Errol was very knowledgeable and experienced with the brand and models and was able to help me find exactly what I wanted as well as answer all of my questions. I will definitely look for Errol the next time I am ready to buy a Subaru. The dealership made it a very fast paperwork process and was even able to lower my interest rate significanly. I was overall very pleased with this experience and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Subaru in this area.

    We bought our first Subaru from West Houston Dealership..The salesman Jonathan was very articulate and very knowledgeable about all the different trims in outback. He gave us the best price in the market. There were no pestering phone calls in the mean time we were making a decision, gave us enough time to decide. We closed the deal in a week, Finance dept was very quick with all the paperwork. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family..

    Vince my salesman was excellent, he was knowledgeable and genuinely happy to help me. I was able to test drive a couple of weeks prior to purchase allowing me to compare to other cars (another car company that rhymes with Joe Myers Ford on 290) would not even let me test drive. At first there was a misunderstanding with the car I had purchased and the staff including management made it a point to fix that problem within one afternoon. I will be forever pleased with West Houston Subaru. (even finance was pleasurable).

    Our experience at West Houston Subaru, with Errol Bancroft, was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the cars, and patient in explaining the differences between the two models we were considering. It was unlike any car buying I have ever experienced.

    Over several weeks we looked for a replacement to our VW TDI, which we love but will have to come off the road because VW screwed up and lied about its emissions. I hate looking for a car: Trudging in hot weather to dealership after dealership, juggling new versus old, going blind reading reviews and ratings, listening to the same limp descriptions from less than enthusiastic sales staff, and rolling on the same useless "test drive" that conveys nothing about a vehicles real road life or reliability. If we had only started at West Houston Subaru sooner, we would have saved ourselves those unhappy showroom hours and discovered a shortcut to a great car-buying experience, and hopefully, a great set of wheels to take the place of our long-haul, but dirty diesel. You cannot go wrong with the folks at West Houston Subaru. Funny, we bought our VW right next door four years ago at West Houston VW. Save yourself the frustration of indecision and ask for Errol at West Houston Subaru. Eat at Tony's nearby while they set up your new Subaru. You will be happy.

    I started to look for a used 2015 Subaru WRX online. Sean Yaghotian gave me an online quote for a used WRX and a brand new WRX. Since Subaru's retain their value, I went with the new one. Sean took the time to answer all questions I had and made the process seamless along with the communication with my bank. He and his manager (the name slips me) worked with me to fulfill this childish dream of mine. I was given a more than fair price on my trade-in also. The finance manager was also great - I was in and out of his room in less than five minutes. Did not push me on any extended warranties or additional packages. Great experience overall. Everyone there had nothing but a welcoming attitude. I would definitely recommend this dealership and especially Sean as a sales manager.

    Wonderful car buying experience. Vince was VERY knowledgeable about all the features of the car, and kept in touch for questions after our visit (very professional, no pressure). We ultimately decided to purchase the Subaru while traveling away from Houston and the negotiation and paperwork was all done remotely. When we returned to Houston, the car was as promised, clean and ready to go at the agreed upon time (with a full tank of gas). Highly recommend Vince and his team for a no-surprise, no pressure, great buying experience.

    Bought a '16 Subaru Forester XT from West Houston Subaru working with Vince Ramacca. Got a great price through an online quote from Vince and the whole process was straightforward and as easy as can be. Ended up not trading my old vehicle with them as I was offered a better price elsewhere but no pressure or hassle, it just worked out better for me that way. Was offered additional warranties/services at closing but declined - again no pressure or hassle, just a straightforward offer and decline. Vince was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and ran me through the features and signed me up for all the trial subscriptions that came with it. Very happy with both the vehicle and the service and experience from Vince and West Houston Subaru. I would not hesitate to buy from him again and recommend him highly to all.
