  • Replace Driver door edge guard

    This door edge guard has come loose three times in the six weeks that I have owned the car. This time they replaced the edge guard and hopefully crimped it sufficiently to have it stay on for a long time.
    • It's frustrating when a car accessory like a door edge guard keeps coming loose. It's good to hear that we were able to take action to address the issue by replacing the edge guard and making an effort to ensure it stays in place this time. Thank you for sharing your experience!

  • Acura ILX 2022 battery issues

    Yes I was satisfied with everything, my mom and everyone in my family has an Acura and at first I was just going to go to an auto repair shop because that’s what we always do but David reminded me my warranty was still active and he was very communicative, did everything in a good span of time, and was very good with the car, inform me about my mileage , oil, fill up the air in my tires, etc. Overall 10/10 experience, thank you David !

  • Got My Dream Car

    My endless scrolling of auto sales websites was stopped by a listing from Sterling Mcall Acura. I finally found the exact car I was looking for and it was priced very decently, even compared to private sellers. I gave them a call and asked about having it shipped to my location and what the final price would be. I got the price a day later and submitted my down payment. What I did find a bit odd is that I didn’t hear back for a couple days, then was told the car was no longer available as it didn’t pass the dealer’s own inspection. I personally think they received another offer, but the buyer must have fell through because I received a call the following day or two later saying they had “mistaken the car for another one” and the car was in fact available for purchase. I got a personal video tour of the car and after about a week of filling out/sending paperwork, my check was sent over and my car was safely shipped halfway across the country to me a day and a half later. Sterling McCall Acura helped me buy my dream car without ever stepping foot into the dealership, and despite feeling like it could’ve gone by quicker had there not been any confusion on their end, everything got done with no other issues. Considering I paid asking price plus shipping I do feel like there was room for them to go above and beyond with the client experience, which would’ve earned them the 5th star, but that doesn’t discredit what they did accomplish for me.

    I have used Sterling McCall Acura service since owning my MDX in 2017. Especially, I have worked with Christian Gonzalez since then as well. He is always honest and helpful with all my concerns about the vehicle. Even though the repair cost is more expensive than other shops, I still go there for the repair as I know it resolve the problem. However, I will look for the coupon on their website or to ask for any additional discount to save money.

  • Radar Functionality

    I’ve had a few logistical issues with Sterling McCall Acura. They are willing to sell you a car at a good price but it may come with some questionable issues. I was sold a new Acura TLX Type S with the Radar malfunction, which is a critical safety feature and is needed for several other sensors in the vehicle. I was not aware of this concern and it’s criticality until the 90-day check up. I let the service department know about the chronic error message I would receive tied to the radar issues. It took the service department about 48 hours to determine the cause of the issue. After which I was informed I wouldn’t receive my vehicle back for several days because they need to replace a bracket on the Radar unit. I had to call McCalls service department several times to get a straight answer about the cause of the issue, what was done to fix the issue, and when I should expect to have my vehicle back. The process took 5 business days in total (Monday-Friday) to rectify the concerns. Due to the lack of transparency I informed the Sales department manager of the situation, letting them know the vehicle was sold to me with defective components. Which the sales associate should have been aware of and (or) informed me that the Radar functionality was that critical to the overall safety of the vehicle. The issue probably stems from production and the dealer was tasked with picking up the pieces unfortunately. Overall I was disappointed in Acura because of these issues and processes because of their prestige but I would caution anyone to exercise caution when purchasing a newer Acura. The dealer did honor their commitment and correct all issues and concerns I had with the vehicle.

    The recall was completed and vehicle inspection. However, my receipt said car was was done but it was not. Nothing was explained to me about the service that was completed.
