They'll Work With You, If You Do Homework!
by bahunkus on 03/04/2010Purchased a 2009 G37 Journey Sedan for my wife in late Sept. 2009. Thanks to many resources, including Edmunds, I came in with guns blazing! The sales person recognized that I was part of the 5% that conducted thorough research when he… saw my notebook full of competitive offers, specs, etc. This instantly brought all walls down and he diligently worked out a deal that made ME happy. We paid just around invoice and he through in several options that I had asked for. Salesman, Barry Bartel, was a gem! Absolutely no BS!!! Best buying experience of my 35 year car buying career! Beware--Don't fall for the BS add-ons in the Business Office. Business Manager not in same league as Barry. A bit scrupulous! He wasn't happy that I refused all of his sales tactics. Hilarious...made the deal even more fun for me. (Loved watching him squirm and go out in parking lot and nervously smoke his cigarette when he thought I had left.) You don't need any single item, especially warranty. Watch out for high fees too. Do a line-item on all sales paperwork. Will probably purchase a 2011 M from Barry, but not until they want to really do a deal. I'll wait until infinity before I pay retail for any car!!Great Dealership

I… bought a used Mustang convertible, but they treated me as if I was buying the most expensive Infinity on the lot. When I got the car home, after a couple of weeks, I discovered the fog lights were fake. The dealership was horrified they missed it and installed Genuine Ford foglights at no charge to me. I was planning on having to do this myself an know that this was at least 500.00 they put out AFTER the car was sold and delivered. Their after sale followup was fantastic - any issue I might have had I feel certain would have been corrected - had I had any. Since they are on the Nort side of town about 30 miles from my house, they even FedExed my license plates to me. For a dealership to go this distance with a used car, not of their brand, I feel speaks volumes about the dealers committment to excellence. I often see commercials talking about customer satisfaction, but these people actually put their money where their mouth was.Stay away from Sewell
by tlee on 09/01/2009The sales lady at Sewell Infiniti of North Houston told me that she has the vehicle (colors and options) I wanted and gave me a good price. After several phone calls and emails back and forth to confirm the deal the night before, my wife… and I decided to take a day off from work the next day (we live in Austin which is 150 miles away from Houston) to pick up the car. When we were about 2 hours into our trip, I called the sales lady to make sure she has the car ready so that, after the papers are signed, I can drive back home as soon as possible. Guess what? She told me she doesn't have the car! You can imagine how pissed off my wife and I were. We have bought from out of town dealers before. But this is the first time that this has happened to us. We will never buy another Infiniti again.Great buying experience
by selvapp on 11/25/2007I bought my 2007 M35 from North Houston Infiniti about a month ago. It was a very pleasant experience. Martin Hristov, my salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly. No sales pressure. No problems with the test drive- no license,… insurance copy, etc, etc. He answered all my questions and even suggested that I just park my car there and walk over to Lexus and Audi dealerships to do my test drives. He was available on the phone as well. Once I decided to buy we agreed on the price in about two minutes and no sales pressurs at the finance dept as well. They had to trade for the car I wanted but was not a problem at all- I think it was the last black/bourbon M35 available. I hope the service department is half as good.love my car...Edmunds was a great help!
by esmorgan on 06/22/2011updated 08/31/2025I purchased a 2011 QX56. I didn't contact Edmunds until after going to Sewell Infiniti and got a quote on the car. I was also looking at Lexus LX (had a Lexus RX). I was able to go back to Sewell with quotes from 2 other Houston dealerships… (thanks Edmunds) and got a MUCH BETTER DEAL from the same salesman. I was in a hurry to sign on the dotted line once I decided on this car. Sewell made this as fast as possible and I was pleased at the timing. Although the front desk girl was a little "snotty" to me and there seemed to be some flirting between her and a salesman, I still like the dealership. The day after my purchase, I went back to get help figuring out DVD players, another salesman helped me and he was SO kind as if he was the one who made the $ off me. I love that they have free car washes for the life of the car and also concierge service! They will actually come pick up your car, leave a rental and take it to the dealership for oil change or any other fix! Awesome for a mom!! I am also IN LOVE with my car. I have a family of Lexus owners and the QX is the perfect car for me. Do the research on Edmunds and get quotes from other dealerships. Be prepared when you walk in. They also gave me additional $$ for my trade in compared to what they first quoted to make the deal!Nice Buying Experience
by ousoonerrick on 09/10/2013updated 08/31/2025I purchase a new QX60 from Sewell and was totally satisfied with transaction.Sewell dealerships are strange to deal with
by saltyjack on 08/21/2012updated 08/31/2025My husband and I narrowed the choice of an SUV/CUV down to Audi and Infiniti and it was very convenient that the two dealers were located right next to each other. We decided to meet with both to have our Lexus evaluated for a trade-in and… see what type of deal they'd each offer. The saleswoman at Infiniti seemed offended that we'd already been to the Audi dealer - clearly their computer systems are all coordinated because the Infiniti sales manager arrogantly advised that they would give us the exact same amount on a trade. Curiously, though - the Infiniti sales staff couldn't/wouldn't tell us what the price of their car was until they talked to the Audi sales staff. We sat around at Infiniti waiting for them to talk to Audi before they could deal with us - weird! We ended up driving to Southwest Infiniti - got a much better deal, better price, better service (free oil changes/tire rotations for 2 years - Sewell doesn't offer anything except free loaners).
About our dealership
I also bought a new 2008 G35 from North Houston Infiniti. This will be our third Infiniti. I shopped via the internet at several dealerships. North Houston had the best price and the deal was wrapped up in no time. Orr Infiniti in Shreveport, La. was great to deal with also. They matched the price at North Houston Infiniti.Since I live in Houston I went with the Houston dealership. I would have had no problem going to Shreveport if their price was better for the same car. West Houston Infiniti had the highest bid of all the dealerships.
