A huge disappointment in a luxury dealership
by Gail Trafton on 07/25/2023The minute we stepped into the showroom the sales associate (Jeffrey Midence) tried getting me into a less expensive vehicle than I was interested in. I went back a couple months later and put a deposit on the vehicle I wanted, Jeffrey was… adamant that the car would arrive around June 29th. I did not get to drive the E450 and asked Jeffrey to let me know if one came in so I could test drive it. Jeffrey called several weeks later, I went to the dealership to test out a like vehicle. While there, I asked for the car I ordered to be confirmed, that is when I was told the car would not be delivered in June but probably in August, that Jeffrey had drastically misinformed me. I decided to wait until the car was delivered but was extremely disappointed. I engaged with Charles Ball a few times as Jeffrey did not seem overly capable. I received another call from Jeffrey in mid June saying they had received a car like the one I ordered. It turned out to have a different color interior but I liked it and test drove it. We discussed the car purchase, however we did not agree on terms. We went back a week later and the car was still there. Charles Ball offered a couple changes to the offer, we discussed the next day and decided to proceed with the purchase. I called Jeffrey to let him know we were ready to proceed with the deal, I prearranged financing, Mercedes Georgetown showed as a preferred dealership with the finance company. Jeffrey called around noon to say the car was ready and asked when I could come complete the deal, we agreed on around 4 pm as I was at work. Jeffrey asked me to come as early as possible 3 times so I left work early to go complete the deal. When we got to the dealership, the car was not very clean, there were still protective strips all over it and Jeffrey was not attentive, he asked fur information that had been provided and did not focus on getting the car ready, he seemed to want to leave for the day. When we finally got to finance they said they could not pull my prior approval, he kept saying it was for a used car even tho I had the pre approval showing it was a new car approval. He tried to get me to fill out an online application so he would have “the details needed”, then we found out that my credit would have been impacted after he promised it would not. When taking delivery of the car, the “EQ” told me that there was no physical owners manual, however I found it in the trunk when I got home. I was contacted last week about a payment being due on the vehicle I traded on 6/30, turns out the loan has not been paid off, I contacted Charles Ball who said that they had mailed a check but it was missing the account # so PNC did not know where to post it. A second check was reportedly mailed. I had to call PNC myself after I was told that finance would call and deal with it Monday, but then on Monday I was told it was basically my problem. When I spoke to PNC, they state they have not received any check , Charles sent me a copy of the Check, the account number and the mailing address were wrong … now I am stuck trying to deal with how to manage the pay off of the vehicle I traded to Mercedes Georgetown.. I see no ownership from the dealership but a deal with it yourself attitude since the check I wrote was immediately cashed and I have possession of the new vehicle. How can I be responsible for a check I didn’t write on a vehicle I do not have?? I couldn’t be any more unhappy with the level of lacking customer service, I expected a very different experience when purchasing a luxury vehicle from a premium brand like Mercedes Benz. I will be sure to share this experience with everyone who asks me about my car, and it does get a lot of attention.Replace alternator and replace windshield fluid container

by Chbland on 07/02/2023My EQS 450 was recalled on 2 issues but I had an “emergency “ as the hood on my car came loose and sent an alarm..I called Georgetown MB and service associate Irlean Pollard got me right in with another EQS set up as a loaner. Service was… quick and I picked up my car 3 days later…sooner than was originally estimated.Thank you for your kind words! by Sandra_ on 06/30/2023I took my vehicle in 4 times to be fixed the first time and it took the 4th visit for them to get one issue fixed. This last time I took it in to fix the AC I ended up paying a deductible for something I didn’t know was wrong with the car… and left with my AC still not working. I have contacted my service rep 4 times since the day I left with the car and was told she would get back to me when they had a loaner, it is almost one month later and I’m getting a text asking if my AC was working since she hasn’t heard from me? Are you kidding? That’s ridiculous! Both the rep and the assistant manager were very rude to me awhile I was asking about the charges because no one told me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix, they just did it and charged me. There is no point in having any further conversations or setting an appointment for service there. I will not go back, it’s completely unprofessional and the worst place I’ve ever done business.Thank you for bringing this to my attention. by Bob on 12/06/2022I was just getting a basic 1year service and having a check to make sure the heater on/off was working correctly and was told it should be done in 2 hours. I was there for 3 1/2 hours! Not acceptable. Had I known it was going to take that… long I would have made different plans.We are very sorry that the repairs and maintenance took a bit longer than anticipated. Unfortunately, the complex service and diagnostic work on your Mercedes can unfortunately take longer than expected on occasion. Our top priority is the safety of our clients. We never rush our factory-trained technicians, and only encourage superior workmanship, (even if it takes longer).
