  • Disappointed in many ways

    Very bad experience here. After calling ahead two days in advance, when I arrived at McDavid I was told the car I was looking at was going to auction by my salesman Chad C. When they finally relented to let me see the used car I wanted, it was filthy and was not prepared to be shown to customers. I mentioned my disappointment at giving them two days notice. Although the car was filthy, I did end up buying it on the contingency that it be given new brakes and tires, and a thorough cleaning. I did not get the car back for 8 hrs (I'm positive it doesn't take this long to complete the work) and it was still very poorly cleaned. I was also told that there was no second key or floormats, only to be called the next day and informed there was a second key (still no floormats). We just paid for our car to be detailed a second time. These guys clearly don't understand what it takes to sell a used vehicle. People want clean used cars, decent service, and waiting times less than 8 hrs (they told another man his car would not be ready till the next day!). I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone.

    I recently bought a used Honda Accord at this dealer. Let me tell you, it was a pleasant experience. Wayne M., the salesman, was very helpful and kind. My wife and I arrived at the dealership about 9am on a Saturday morning and were leaving in our new Accord shortly after lunch. Super friendly folks and a great car at a reasonable price!

    Took my '07 Accord in for a standard maintence check. My service advisor, Ian Lackey, called to indicate that the rear brakes needed to be replaced. He quoted me a good price and completed all the work as promised. When checking out, the cashier, Jamee Naylor, was particularly helpful with understanding the invoice.

    I dropped off my 2007 Honda Fit Sport for routine maintenance and with the high-quality service I received from the moment I dropped off the car to the moment I picked it up was hands-down the best service I received from any dealership/service shop EVER! You'd think I dropped off a brand new Bentley the way Phil, my service technician, treated me with professionalism and respect from start to finish. David McDavid Honda of Frisco will always get my business and those of any of my friends/family looking to purchase their next Honda.

    I bought a 2012 Accord at David McDavid Honda in Frisco and couldn’t be happier! My salesman was Rusty Hill, a fine gentleman who was very patient with me, and did all that he could do to make sure that I bought a car that would suit my needs. All the people that I dealt with were pleasant and professional. From sales to financing, it was truly the best treatment I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I have recommended them to several friends and family members. Give them a try, I think that you will be pleased.

    Fantastic buying experience. Our sales consultant made the process smooth and painless. There was no doubt his goal was to make sure that we were taken care of as the customer. We highly recommend David McDavid Honda of Frisco.

    I have taken my Honda 2005 Odyssey to this dealership many times and have received good service but our latest visit was exceptional. The service advisor, Chris Kail, was outstanding. He was thorough and professional. He took the time to go back and extensively read service notes from our previous visits and went out of his way to point out two repair items that were under warranty which we were not aware. I highly recommend Chris and the service department.

    My family and I recently purchased a 2011 Ridgeline and couldn't be happier with our decision. We recieved the best customer service from Christ S. We also recieved valuable advice from Adam Rutledge. I have been very satisfied with my new car and look forward to continue being a customer!

    I don't drive the newest model in the market and was always skeptical to bring my vehicle to a dealership for service. I thought that it was always overpriced and that they wouldn't treat me fair due to my outdated car. It was the total opposite, I was greeted just if I was driving the newest thing in the market, they performed the requested service in the time promised, and most of all they didn't try to sell me in a new car, or make me feel bad about my current vehicle... They instead, recommended some work and also gave me some insight in maintenance for my "senior citizen" car. I was happy, quite impressed with the work and most of all I am coming back there for my next oil change!

  • Top Notch Customer Service, Rusty H.

    I met Rusty at David McDavid Honda for the first time, the last time I bought my Honda, about six years ago. This time when I went in to the Dealership because my lease was coming to and end, I did not know if I was going to finance my current car or buy a new one. I had already begun talking with The Finance Manager Tammy and it was time for me to look at new Hondas so that I could make my decision. I asked to see Rusty H. He was with another customer. Tammy introduced me to another sales person but I did not want to work with anyone else. Rusty came in and shook my hand. An immediate smile came across my face. I made an appointment to meet with Rusty the following Monday. I did not want to work with anyone else and here's why.... Rusty is to say the least the most patient, kind and intuitive sales person I have ever had the pleasure of working with to buy a new Honda or for that matter anything else. He exemplifies what I would describe as "Good Old Fashioned Customer Service." This is the kind of service that I have not seen in recent years. No question or should I say questions were too many for him. He would be in mid sentence and I would interrupt with a burning question or concern and Rusty stopped what he was saying and turned around to face me and pay attention to only me and my question or concern. He smiled a genuine smile, understanding me completely. Let me also say that I have a hard time parting with my Hondas and Rusty understood this and was patient with me regarding this love for my cars. He did not pressure me in any way. He worked with my schedule and within my time frame for making a decision. Another thing that I noticed is that everytime another sales person walked by Rusty they stepped aside and allowed him to pass. I felt as if they were rolling out the red carpet for him. He is very well respected at the Dealership. I really think that he should write a book about how to work with people. I also hope that David McDavid or Honda or both will ask him to teach new sales people how things should be done. I cannot say enough good things about Rusty H. He is in a word - FABULOUS!!!!

    You already know Hondas are reliable cars. Chris M. was great to work with when we purchased our 2014 CRV. Go see Chris & buy a new Honda!

    Purchased a 2014 CR-V EX-L. Before going I was very skeptical about the pressure tactics, but sales person Sharouz S. was very friendly, no pressure kind of guy helped me through out the process and sealed the deal in few hours.

    I love my car but the buying experience was not enjoyable at all. The sales team did not listen to what I wanted. They kept trying to make me do things their way. This wasted several hours of my time just trying to figure out which accessories where available and at what price on the car. Their information was ofter flawed and I was surprised their was no technology available (besides my own laptop) during the decision process. They need to work on better time management skills, improve their accountability, improve the quality of information, accurately communicate this information, and use to technology to speed up the process.

    We bought a Honda Pilot here from Wayne M. After being insulted and let down at various other DFW Honda dealerships I found Wayne and the team at DmcD to be friendly, open and honest. If you are looking to buy I highly recommend him.

    Only one name you need to know, Richard "The Colonel" S., from the Pre-Owned Internet Sales department at McDavid Honda of Frisco. Richard was warm, personable and most importantly honest. He made what I expected to be stressful process, stress- free. I saw the vehicle I wanted on the internet on Sunday and sent an email to the Dealership expressing interest. Monday morning, Richard called me and a deal was made the same day. He watched over the process like a protective Poppa. Manager, Wayne and Manilo were great! McDavid-Frisco, you’ll will want to keep this team at your Dealership! I will send anyone I know looking for a car to Richard. Ask for the man, Richard S.

    My wife and I just purchased a used Honda Pilot last Thursday and are really happy with our purchase. Sharou, our sales consultant was pleasant and knowledgable about their product. We test drove three Pilots and finally made a decision. The entire staff was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Good peice of mind buying a certified used vehicle from this dealership.

    When I first started to look for a new vehicle, I cringed with anxiety of having to haggle with a new car salesperson. To cut to the chase, if it weren't for David C., I would have taken my business elsewhere. He put me in touch with his best salesperson - Aaron K., and we sat and discussed what would work for my wants, needs and desires. I asked for what I needed and Aaron delivered. The story begins there instead of ending, as they have been in touch to assure that I am satisfied with my new Civic. I've had a change of heart - thanks Aaron!!!

    I bought a 2014 Honda Odyssey from JP and team at David McDavid last night. JP took care of everything possible over the phone so that the time we spent in the dealership was minimized. I think we spent an hour to an hour and half tops in the dealership. I never waited for more than 5 minutes to get the next thing done. I got a fair price on my trade and fair price on the new car given the research I did. All in all - a great car buying experience. I highly recommend them for future purchases.

    .....and I have found a dealership to trust in McDavid Honda of Frisco, along with a salesman to trust in Mark L. I have bought three cars from McDavid and Mark in just over 2 years. They worked with me when my credit was not so great, giving me a chance to get into a car and build my credit with regular payments. Then I was able to upgrade last year to a 2012 Accord with a great interest rate. When I had questions and concerns, they answered them and fixed them if possible. I'm sure I will return to Mark and McDavid when it's time to trade again.
