Personable, excellent communication skills, responsive, follows up and is not a high pressure sales associate. by Bob West on 03/25/2024Bob westin 1 review My Jetta needed a steering wheel lock cylinder. Rusty Wallace Volkswagen is the closest to me so I contacted them for an estimate. The service advisor said a little over $600. On February 19. My tow truck driver… followed me to RustyWallace and dropped off the Volkswagen wagon. The service advisor said it would take a couple days. Two days later he contacted me and told me I also needed a lock cylinder that the key goes into. I told him they only need the lock cylinder 5% of the time because I was familiar with this fix. I had a used car dealer license for 10 years and specialized in Volkswagens. he said his tech said it would require a lock cylinder and the total cost would be $1047. He asked if I wanted to do it and I said of course and he said he would give me a deal because I was calm about it. He would charge me $900 because the lady in front of me had the same issue and was reading him the riot act. I said fine. Two weeks later I contacted him and he said that part had to be manufactured in Germany from my Vin number and he hadn’t heard anything. Three weeks later I contacted RustyWallace and they told me it was stuck in customs in Memphis. They didn’t know when it would be maybe two or three more weeks. After four weeks I contacted them and the parts guy said there was no order on record for my part, would I like to re-order? I asked to speak to the service manager and he said actually, your part is lost somewhere within FedEx. We can order it again, but it would take 3 to 4 weeks. I said where do we stand if I just come pick up my car because it’s been 4 1/2 weeks? He said you would owe us a diagnosis fee. I said you didn’t diagnose anything I told you what was wrong with the car before I brought it, you’ve had it for 4 1/2 weeks and don’t know when you can get the part. He said I’ll check with my manager and see if you can have the car back with no charge. I called him later and he said I could pick up the car with no charge. I contacted Clay Cooley Volkswagen in Richardson and the parts guy said the part was $460 which was $160 more than everybody else in town. I thought the last thing I want is another fiasco. I contacted Josh.Cienfuegos service advisor at Hendrick, Volkswagen Frisco and he gave me a price of $566. On March 22., 32 days after dropping it off at RustyWallace, my tow truck driver followed me to Hendrick Volkswagen. My car was sitting in the exact spot my tow truck driver dropped it off 4 1/2 weeks earlier, no one had even checked anything. I’m so glad it was not damaged because it was on a corner position where they take all of the stuff in and out of the service department and where they turn the corner to take stuff around back. Josh at HendrikVW said it would take an hour and a half and I might even be able to pick it up the same afternoon. I picked it up the same day, and it cost me less than half of rusty Wallace‘s estimate. Thank goodness for Hendrick Volkswagen Frisco. Bob West, Heath TexasHi Bob! I'm sorry to hear everything was such a mess at those other places! Shady sales and poor colleague communication

Was told by sales person (Robert F.) the car could not be test drove outside of their dealership lot and could not be sold until it went through their dealership inspection and it would be 2-3 days… before that happened, but I could come in and look at the vehicle and if I wanted it still without being able to test drive I could sign some papers stating that I acknowledged that it still needed to go through inspection but that I would buy the vehicle no matter what. I decided to go in and look at vehicle that same day a few hours later and they even let me test drive it off the lot on the city streets and highway service road? So there is lie #1. I told the sales guy that helped me (Corey - nice guy, not a lying DB like Robert) that I wanted the vehicle so get whatever papers I needed to sign to state I would purchase after it completed inspection. While I was sitting at his desk waiting he said someone else was on the phone with the bank to get approval to buy the vehicle so they were technically first in line even though I had just test drove the vehicle and had previously stated I was paying cash for the vehicle so there was no need to go through finance department. However, I was told by Robert that I could not officially buy the vehicle for a few days which was obviously a total lie since someone else was allowed to start the buying process with a loan that they had told me could not be sold yet. To say I was beyond livid would be understatement the lack of communication between colleagues and the sheer stupidity of Robert F. Not only will I never consider buying a vehicle from this dealership again I will share my story anytime I can and will also make sure when people ask for recommendations they know where not to go.Hi Eliza, At Hendrick we are constantly striving to be better, and would value the opportunity to discuss your experience further. Extremely pleasant experience beginning to end!
by Linda on 01/06/2024I cannot say enough good things about this dealership. I made contact with the sales manager, Chris DeLeon, online through the Hendrick's website. I let him know that I was interested in purchasing a 2023/2024 Tiguan. I'd been through a… very unfortunate experience with another dealership that ended in me returning the vehicle I purchased. Chris was kind, patient, and compassionate. I told him my price range, payment max, trade-in and down payment. In less than 25 minutes, I received a quote, sheet via email on the exact vehicle I was looking for; exterior/interior colors, wheels, features......everything. The quote included 3 payments based on 3 different down payments as well as every single detail of the purchase. It was all there in black and white, very straightforward. He then put me in touch with sales consultant, Robert Fabian. What a pleasant, professional young man! I made an appointment to view and test drive the car the next day. The entire process was seamless and pleasant from there. There was no price haggling, no hours in the dealership with one offer after the other, no stressful, deceptive, hard-sales process. The vehicle and the terms of purchase were exactly what Chris told me it would be.The test drive and overview of the vehicle took about 30 minutes, and it was a done deal! Every tiny detail was presented on my quote sheet in writing before I ever set foot in the dealership! Imagine that! The entire interaction between myself, Chris, and Robert, including the test drive and overview took a little over an hour. I did have to wait awhile for my turn in the finance office to sign the paperwork. While I was waiting, Robert removed and shredded the plates on my trade-in, removed my toll tag, and searched the vehicle for anything that might reveal my private information. How considerate is that?? Once in the finance office, Patrick Wolfe took over and stepped me through reviewing and signing the documents. He was as kind and polite as Chris and Robert. In less than 30 minutes, he handed me the keys to my amazingly beautiful Tiguan. It's everything I'd hoped it would be and more. It runs like a dream and so far I'm averaging 32 miles per gallon! Bottom line is that buying a car doesn't have to be a painful ordeal. Chris DeLeon, Robert Fabian, and Patrick Wolfe are just genuinely good human beings. Zhong is the Man!
by KHanson on 12/31/2023My wife and I were looking to purchase our first family vehicle through Hendrick VW. While looking online, I found that HVW had the car we were looking for with a great price. I called and immediately was helped by Zhong over the phone. As… we live in Louisiana, this could have been something very time consuming/difficult, Zhong and the team really helped us out. After 24 hours of working out deals we met Zhong with a smile with our new car right at our front door. Even after a 3 hour drive in the evening, he sat and went through our new car features before heading out. If you’re looking for a new vehicle, we can say positively that the service is great at HVW. While many dealerships try to force you into corners, wear you down, and speak in circles; we were only met with transparency. Personally on a product note, I have a feedback for VW to improve the quality, particularly… when buying a top end trim of ID4, costing more than $54K I was certainly disappointed when I came to know that it didn't come with a standard/built in HomeLink feature for garage opener.
