  • Airbag Recall

    Well. I make an appointment and make arrangements to get my truck all the way in the other side of town to finally get this airbag recall done. They even confirmed my appointment. Then I get a call that it was only an appointment to make an appointment for the ordering of the part and so I need to pick up my truck until part is there. What? Worthless and if anyone gets hurt in my passenger seat. it will fall completely on the dealership who had none of the recall parts available. Inept to say the least. Also where is the n/a button for questions below.
    • Thank you for the input. In many cases, GM requires that the vehicle be checked and often the part is not needed. The dealer is bound to follow the instructions on each recall to the letter, and many of them stipulate that the dealer cannot order the part(s) until after it is examined by the technician. I am sorry. If you wish, I can check further on your vehicle if you can provide me the last 8 digits of your vehicle identification number (VIN) and verify this is the case here.     Dropped truck day of my appt., picked up 10 days after paying the bill later, Eng light still on, dropped off again and was ok for 1 day then same issue. Still waiting for call back.

    Mr. Cerda listened to what I wanted, what my limits were, and made it happen. His honesty and patience made the whole experience stress free. I have no reason to go anywhere else when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. No where else has made it this pleasant.

    We started working with Speedy at 10am over the phone. By noon, we had come to a deal and drove from San Antonio to pick up our vehicle. Frank met us immediately and the vehicle was ready to test drive when we arrived. Albert made the financing quick and easy and we were back on the road. Car shopping is not fun for me, so I was pleased at the experience we had at AutoNation. I wasn't stuck at a dealership for hours with a salesperson trying to upscale or waiting forever for financing. Speedy, Frank, and Albert made this a pleasant experience. Thank you all. Love the 4runner! 5 stars, would recommend.

  • Traverse Troubles

    I dropped off my Traverse due to a stutter. I was warned that it would take up to 3 weeks to get it back, not because it was 3 weeks worth of work, but simply because of the system used to see cars. I mentioned that it would be difficult for me to be without a car for that long and offered to bring it back when it was my turn and was told “we don’t do that”. I also waited for over an hour and a half for a shuttle to take me home and ended up having to find another ride. Furthermore, I had to call to receive updates and was not kept in the loop. The overall experience was not good at all.

    My experience with Autonation was amazing. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and made it a priority to get me in and out as quick as possible.     The truck buying process was not a problem at all. I have used Autonation before and had no problems so that is why I keep going back. Eddie was helpful and knowledgeable with what to show us and we ultimately found what we wanted. I will definitely use them again if I plan on purchasing another vehicle in the future

    I love the Terrain. I am still reading the book and trying to figure the controls out. 1. Salesman Juan L. Was not upfront and was always rushed. The navigation system did not work. He said the part was on order. He did not go over the car controls with me. I am learning by reading the guide. He was a little rude at times and did mot listen to us. I was pre- approved by my lender and he was hesitant to run the credit, my son told him we are pre-approved just do it. I asked for the 172 point check form and he said it’s all online . He said the car was detailed and it was only washed on the outside. He said the oil was changed yet the car said 70%. He said well they forgot to reset it. I went to the sales manager Jesse G. He brought me the 172 point form and it had the wrong mileage 8,715 and showed the inspection was done 5/30/23. That let’s me know it was not done on 6/7/23. I questioned the mileage and the detailing, the oil, the navigation not working. He drew a line through the mileage and placed my mileage 35,314. He said he would have it redetailed anytime I want to come in. The inspection form has service required for oil. I was assured it was ok as is. The car pulled to the left . I asked it be realigned. They did work on that issue. In my opinion the vehicle was not serviced at the time I bought it. I have bought and had service with Auto nation many years. I’m 64 and have had many cars. The dealership needs a reminder that customers are right, we expect a car to be as promised, professional staff and thorough explanation if needed. Finance Julian R. Was courteous but rushed through the firms and did not explain them. My son explained to me the certified GMC comes with a bumper to bumper warranty for a year. I was pushed to add on a $2,995. Extra warranty. I was not explained whether the one year warranty runs first and then an extended warranty after or they run together. So many unanswered issues, parts not ordered, car not detailed, only one key fob, navigation not working, oil new or not? I did speak with a service person Andrew and he was nice and gave me more info than Johnny (Juan) my salesman. In fact I thought my salesman was new and was making excuses for him in my mind. Well he’s not new. He needs to slow way down, listen to the customer, never let one drive off without going over the running of the vehicle. The dealership should have made sure the navigation part was ordered, changed the oil, detail the car completely, check the alignment prior to sales, explain what a GMC certified vehicle is and follow those instructions. No one was mean just not thorough and not forthcoming. Today I have a call out to Jesse to get my navigation part ordered. Service let me know sales needs to do it. I really need the navigation to work. If the things were all done prior to sales I would give a 5 star. Also the lift gate foot signal was not explained and I’m not sure how to use it. The Store manager needs to address these issues and call me. [contact info removed]

    • My sales rep called and had service call and set an appointment up. My part that will correct the navigation is in. My salesman also offered to explain my vehicle to me. If all goes as planned the dealer should get a 5 star for following up. I will know next week.

    I had the opportunity to work with Angel Pena. They guy went above and beyond. Very informative and helpful. They were very thorough during there inspection and also recommended changes that needed to be made. Always keeping the customers best interest in mind. Highly recommend. We have a local chevrolet dealership but we make the 2 hour drive every time just because of the World class service
