by chris512 on 06/15/2011updated 06/06/2025I had negotiated with First Texas Honda over the internet and we had agreed on a price for a new CR-V. I arrived at the dealership and we started the transaction. I was asked to talk to their finance guy, and when I stated that I did not… want to finance, I was ready to pay for the vehicle, the price went up! I walked out. This is the way to buy a new car!
by retireman1 on 05/23/2013updated 06/06/2025I must say these are the nicest people I ever bought a car from. First of all they make the same commision on every car so they don't try to upgrade everything on you and they give you the lowest price possible up front so there is no… haggle just like they say. Even when the nice lady came in to discuss accessories (they don't stock cars fully loaded), we told her up front we were trying to keep the payment low so she didn't try to push us into something we didn't want and we were done! I'm quite confident we got the lowest price possible and felt good the next day about it. That's the first time ever for me!confusing set-up
by lilyandraysmom on 08/19/2013updated 06/06/2025This was my first experience with the service department at the new Steck location, and while my service requirements were met with professionalism, there was a lot of confusion over how I was to be contacted about how the work on my… vehicle was progressing. I was used to the intercom system at the former location, and I didn't have my mobile phone with me. I waited for an unnecessarily long time for my vehicle because of it, and I hope First Texas works this bug out soon!Wasted trips to dealership
by bnovak on 07/06/2012updated 06/06/2025Initially, I went there on Friday, 6/22/12 to pick up a brochure. I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed any help. That is a lot to say after my bad experience with Howdy Honda where I will never return too. All I went there for… was a brochure for a 2012 CR-V though. I was given a bottle of water and I left. The next day I called and spoke with Brittania McNair. I told her that I wanted to trade in the new 2012 Honda Civic EX that I just bought from Howdy Honda. She said I needed to drive it in to have it appraised. My car was in immaculate condition with only about 700 miles on it. There was no reason why I couldn't get an over-the-phone appraisal. Both Howdy Honda and Round Rock Honda did this for me. I called Brittania back after thinking about it and her manager Terri insisted that I drive all the way in from Cedar Creek which is about 25 miles one way to let her drive it. I did this and Terri gave me an insultingly low $17,500 offer. Even Howdy Honda offered me $18,000. Round Rock Honda offered me $18,500. I told her this. It didn't make any difference to her. I emailed Brittania and told her to tell Terri that I didn't appreciate her wasting my time and gas while adding 50 more miles to my odometer just to have her test drive it and offer me $1000 less on the vehicle than it was really worth. That is just senseless and crazy. I could care less if they are local and family owned. On 7/2/12 I bought my CR-V EX-L from Paul Koehler at Round Rock Honda. With all the numbers figured in, I paid very close to Edmund's TMV, or the true market value for my CR-V. First Texas Honda may say they have a "no haggle" price, but they don't mention the lousy offers they make on your trade. I got $200 to $300 over Edmund's TMV for my trade, and I was able to get Round Rock Honda to go down $225 below what they were asking which was way below MSRP already. Brittania lost my business all because her boss was too tight to offer me what she should have in the first place. First Texas Honda is a waste of time. They can give all the cookies and free water away that they want too, that doesn't mean people are going to come back. So, adios to First Texas Honda and Howdy Honda and hello again to Round Rock Honda! I have bought two cars from them and I hope to do business with them again.Excellent service
by RTrim_Lakeway on 04/07/2014updated 06/06/2025Had an excellent experience buying our 2014 Honda CR-V. Gregory R. was a pleasure to deal with as were all others involved in the purchase. Keep up the good work guys, customer service at its finest.unsatisfactory sales practices
by grumpyjack66 on 05/24/2014updated 06/06/2025I worked with First Texas Honda for two days on buying a used Corvette ran all the paperwork, and gave all my trade in info and was APPROVED for the car . We discussed it over the phone and we were a little far apart on trade in and… payments. They offered me less than half what my Dodge Dakota was worth on trade with a clear title in good condition. They strung me along for two days waiting on an answer and updating the payment reduction requests. The today Sat 5-24-14 while I was eroute to sign the papers and do the deal, Saleman Christian texted me that the car was no longer available They had taken a deposit on it while I was enroute with an APPROVED loan already with THEIR bank. They broke their word and took the deposit instead of waiting for me to get there from anhour away to get the car. While they didnt do anything illegal, they have POOR business ethics and cant be trusted to honor a deal thats been approved. I even texted when I was running late and the car was GONE. I question a company that has distrustful business practices like that. I wont do business with them again and have advised my FB friends of my experience. AND I really liked Christian and I dont think this was his fault at all. Some greedy sales mgr wanted the dollars dangling in front of him Very rude and inconsiderate on their part to do me that way.Bait and Switch!!!
by austinpilot2 on 05/12/2013updated 06/06/2025Typical dealership BS. Their website claims 1 simple price and they will have the lowest prices BUT good luck in trying to buy the advertised price car. Been looking for a Pilot and get this email showing some great prices on Pilots, way… lower than other dealers. Called within 10 MINUTES of receiving the email and low and behold all 3 had been sold! Really, within 10 minutes??? I was told that they had the exact vehicle but for 1500 more, wow! This was Thursday and guess what, those vehicles are still listed at these great prices that only exist in the fairy world. DONT BELIEVE THIS DEALER!!!bought a 2014 Accord here (good decision)
by neil_everett on 04/07/2014updated 06/06/2025Bought a 2014 Accord here (great decision) I brought in my previous Accord and I was given a very reasonable trade-in value for it. The thing I liked the most about this dealership was that they start with their price dropped to as low as… they'll go, so you don't have to worry about playing any of the typical purchasing games. When I evaluated their pricing through independent services, they consistently came up as "fair" to "good" for the market value. so it's the way to go if you want to buy a new or used Honda. Also, their facilities are pretty impressive and their staff is friendly.Excellent job on tinting our windows
by dsquard7 on 04/30/2014updated 06/06/2025A perfect experience getting our windows tinted. Courteous, professional service. Thank you.Always friendly and professional
by jl13 on 03/05/2014updated 06/06/2025First Texas Honda is consistently professional, helpful and sensitive to my time and my needs as a customer. When I replaced my Honda several years ago, their great service (plus my overall satisfaction with Honda vehicles) was the swing… vote in my deciding to purchase another Honda.Good experience at a good price
by chaplain2 on 06/15/2013updated 06/06/2025I went through Edmunds to do online research with several area Honda dealers. I got a call that night (about 8:45PM) from a guy at Howdy Honda where I bought two cars in the past, but he sounded really put out to have to talk to me, and… their price was high, so they were off the list. A woman named Alejandra with First Texas was really helpful through email, and I was surprised when I found out I wouldn't be dealing with her as my sales person. Brian was assigned to me as "Product Specialist", and he was easy-going and helpful. I got the best price here, and the experience was good. (The required visit to the finance guy -- who will try to sell you the extended warranty, which you should never buy -- always sucks. But all dealers make you go through it.)We bought a CRV
by girls1 on 08/16/2013updated 06/06/2025We had a very easy experience at First Texas Honda. Our salesman was very helpful and cordial. He is a relatively new salesman and when he did not know the answer to something he was quick to get it. We had some extra requests and he did it… quickly. It was all good.Excellent Dealership!
by m0322 on 06/06/2013updated 06/06/2025If you haven't checked out First Texas Honda's new dealership yet, you are missing out! It is gorgeous and they even have a complimentary coffee, tea, soda and snack bar so you can kick-back while your car is being serviced. The staff is… very friendly and their sole mission is to find you the vehicle you need in your price range. Check them out if you are car shopping - they are a great place to start! Very family friendly, too.Great Service
by casey55 on 01/17/2014updated 06/06/2025Couldn't have been more pleased. Staff were courteous, accommodating, and offered excellent advice on financing. This is our 5th purchase from 1st Texas. All experiences were terrific.Don't be fooled by dealerships...
by rbrun43 on 02/15/2012updated 06/06/2025I work near First Honda and thought it would be a good idea to take my car in for an oil change. Get a call from Caleb who of course says you have many other issues that need to be addressed asap. I asked him to do a simple oil change and… add new wipers. He called back with my car needed a new radiator and plugs as well as different flushes, etc. I asked him to go ahead and do the plugs and wipers and get me a price for a new radiator. I did my own research on line and found a new radiator for my car for $114. Get to the dealership and Caleb quotes me a price of $1374.00 to change out a radiator and wanted $424 for their radiator. I called another reputable auto repair shop and they wanted $310 for the whole job. I know this is the story you always hear from taking cars to dealerships but this one really took the cake and will never get my business. I will also make it a point to tell as many associates of mine about this experience. Really, really sad that Calab and his service managers take honest customers like myself to the cleaners day and day out. I sent him an email and of course never got a reply. I am sure he is used to this type of reviews and think nothing of it. Never go to First Honda if you want a simple or technical repair. You will be disappointed...Vaughn Dalton - Purchased 05 Chevy Equinox
by Vaughn_Dalton on 08/14/2013updated 06/06/2025Listen up, Out of 5 lifetime vehicle purchases, "Best" car buying experience ever. To summarize..."In & Out". I enjoyed the haggle free experience the most. The vehicles price was under and official booking listed I could find, and lower… than any other dealers comparable offering for the model. The facility was top of its class, especially the complementary coffee and snack bar. Another feature was the covered vechicle area. Beats standing out in the sun. Most of all, thank you Steve for your for patience with our young necie. Your employer is lucky to have such an employee that demonstrates such a level of seasoned customer service and respect. This gentelmen greeted us at the door when we arrived, was straight forward and prompt throughout the purchase, and there to send us off. The finace department was the same. So, if your in the market for a car, and dont want to deal with the "BS" that comes with process, I highly recommend First Texas Honda. The only things I would suggest to improve the system in place is, to provide a print out of what your 80 point inspection covers for used cars. Im sure you yall had it available, but I did not think to ask. I guess it was because I felt relaxed and comfortable with the purchase. Thanks again Yall!Lies
by Artie125 on 05/19/2013updated 06/06/2025There is difference between No Haggle Pricing and bait and switch. My wife and I have been shopping for an Accord and these guys were way below every other dealer in the area. Except when I called about an Accord I had received an email… about just a few minutes before, it had just been sold. They did have the same Accord exactly like the one I wanted but strangely it was over $1200 more. Nice try guys. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.Christian M. - sales adviser
by mnolen002 on 12/30/2013updated 06/06/2025Just wanted to say that Christian M. did a superb job in getting me & my friend Jennifer in to great vehicles - HONDAS. Christian - U ROCK!!! Thanks, Mary Nolen :-)Great place to buy a car!!!

by macyshaver on 12/14/2010updated 06/06/2025i recently got an insight from first texas honda. tyler was my sales guy and did a great job. the car was very aggressively priced and the no-haggle approach made the whole process take half the time i was expecting. i really like dealing… with people i trust. tyler is one of those people. if you are in the market for new or used honda, ask for tyler. everyone pays the same price at first texas honda, but tyler makes all the difference.
