I've purchased three cars from this dealership. Each time I walk away satisfied and content with my vehicle. The sales staff works diligently to make sure you're informed and that you're going to get the best deal possible. Will definitely buy from them again.

  • Great service, friendly staff, go see April she is fantastic.

5 out of 5 starsby JasonMac on 10/06/2015

April was very sweet and made my decision to buy a truck painless. We spent 8 hours going over options and affordability. April did not push me to make a decision and was more than patient with me. Great job by April has made me a customer for life.
    • We are so thrilled you had a great experience, Jason. Thank you for sharing your experience with our dealership and especially April. We appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you again soon. All the best, Ford of Murfreesboro

  • Worst Experience Ever

1 out of 5 starsby aspi on 04/24/2015

Purchased new vehicle in 2012 and when offered an extended warranty plan I specifically requested a Ford Plan like the ESP or similar. Turns out they sold me a plan through a 3rd party I've never heard of. When I discussed this issue with the owner he kept pawning it off on a customer relations manager. His final response was that there must have been confusion on my part. Really?! I know what I asked for and was fraudulently informed that I was buying a Ford plan and now the owner of Ford of Murfreesboro won't do anything to make things right on their end. The owner just wants me to cancel the plan and take a pro rated amount from the 3rd party company. That's fair? I don't think anyone would find that acceptable. Worst customer service ever received. Shames the Ford name. Would give zero stars if that was an option.

After researching several alternative vehicle replacements I visited the dealers for a test drive. I found the staff at Ford of Murfreesboro very courteous and professional in demonstrating and promoting their cars. So much so, that I decided to purchase my new Ford Titanium. Interactions and negotiations resulted in a very pleasant experience and I drove off with a great deal and fantastic car.

Amy Contino, our salesperson, made our vehicle purchase a pleasure. She went out of her way to make sure we got a great deal. Her after the sale help has been wonderful.

  • Excellent Dealership Highly Recommend

    5 out of 5 starsby Charlene22 on 08/17/2014

My husband and I found a Roush online and called Murfreesboro. Ryan G. called him back. He was fantastic. We had spoken many times on the phone and Ryan always called us right back when we had questions. We flew over 1,100 miles to look at the car. We were greeted by Tamara B., who was awesome. She was extremely friendly and hospitable. She showed us around the dealership and answered any questions we had. We took the car for a test drive, then sat down with Ryan to go over all the details. He was just as personable in person as he was on the phone. We felt like we were old friends meeting up. We wanted to add personal touches to the car, stripes, lovers, side vents, etc. and Ryan spent the time to go over all the options. Ryan kept us up to date on the car and sent us pictures every step of the way. When the car arrived, it was incredible! We were extremely happy and cannot thank Ryan and Tamara for all they've done. We would also like to thank David W., the body shop manager. You and your team did a fantastic job with all the accessories!! David F., thank you for your help in arranging everything and David L. for having such an amazing dealership (and for taking the time to take a picture with our car)! We never felt pressured at any time. We would definitely purchase another vehicle here and would highly recommend this dealership.

My buying experience at Ford of Murfreesboro was one of the best experience I have had in a long time. I would recommend Ford of Murfreesboro to everyone that's looking to buy a new or used car or truck. My salesman Charles Bobo was the best. I told him what we were looking for and the amount of money we wanted to spend and how much we could afford with monthly car payments. Not only had he found a car for us but an SUV with low mileage. I was very pleased with the financing department also. They did an awesome job on finding us a great rate and helping keep our payments low. Steve Wilson made our buying experience one of the best we have ever had. Again I would most defiantly recommend Ford of Murfreesboro to anyone for their next car buying and financing when they need a new or used car. Diana Hernandez and Dan Warner
  • Purchased or Leaded 12 vehicles since 1988...obviously very satisfied

5 out of 5 starsby bartw on 04/08/2009

I have purchased or leased 12 vehicles from the Alexander Auto Mall since 1988. I have tried other places, but was not satisfied. I find their sales and service staffs very honest and very helpful. Three persons in particular: first is the owner Don Alexander, he is so very helpful. Another is sales representative Joyce Shultz who really knows the product inside and out...all of these have been through her...and GM Jim Matthews who really bends over backwards. The service person Albie has always been extremely helpful. If something is not repaired, Albie apologizes and corrects the problem. I highly recommend the Alexander Auto Mall to my closest friends for sales as well as service.
  • Worst Treatment Ever!

    1.3 out of 5 starsby happy32 on 09/17/2008

On a Friday evening I dropped by to look at Rangers. I found one I liked but since it was late and I was headed out of town for the weekend, they asked me to put $100 down to hold the vehicle till Monday. I did. Less than 24 hours later, about noon on Saturday, I called Alexander Ford and told them I wasn't interested and that I'd be back to get my $100 on Monday. On Monday I arrived but was told I couldn't have my $100 back. I was in shock. I kindly but firmly went back and forth with the salesman to no avail. I then asked for the sales manager, Jim. In the middle of the dealership with 15-20 customers and employees around, Jim belittled me, mocked my request, and told me to get lost. By this time I was furious. I told him I was going to call a lawyer and he told me to get off Alexander's property. I promptly went to a friend/lawyer who called Jim at Alexander. She (lawyer) asked him 2 questions: Did I drive the vehicle causing its value to lessen? Is the vehicle unsellable? Both answers were "no" and Jim hung up on her. She promptly called Mr. Alexander himself and asked him if $100 was worth going to court over. Amazingly this dealership returned my $100 in less than a week by mail. I will never step foot on their property again! Jim, the sales manager, was beyond description the worst dealership person I've ever met. I never test drove that Ranger and the whole reason why I called them back on Saturday was to let them sell it. Avoid this dealership!
    • Ok, nothing excused rude treatment, but both sides of the story need to come out. If you left a deposit to "hold" the car you effectively took that car off the market for whatever time you had the deposit. I'm not sure but think that Alexander Ford employs 15-20 salespeople that do not get paid hourly. While you didn't do anything to "devalue" the car you did take away any opportunity the other salespeople would have to sell that car for the given time. Put yourself in a salesman shoe's and imagine on Saturday morning you could've sold that truck and were told there was a deposit on it. Later after Jim tells you that the customer backed out, you call your customer back and find out they bought down the road. Not very fair is it? To give a dealer a bad rating because you didn't keep your word isn't very fair either.

I am writing this review not an hour after leaving the dealership because I am so appalled and quite stunned at the way my wife and I were treated at this dealership. First off, as soon as we walk in, the man that greets us asks right off the bat if we're ready to buy today. This was annoying but expected, and I proceeded to inform him that we were just beginning the car buying/leasing process and we wanted to look at a few options. Well little did I know that his question was actually a test to see whether he would pass us off to the 18 year old kid who'd been there for 2 weeks and never sold a car, or whether we were worth the effort. With a quick "I've got a deal working right now" mumbled under his breath, he set off to find the poor chump who would have to deal with us. However, this was to be only the first slight of the afternoon. Annoyed but determined, we forged ahead despite this. Next up, Junior took us out to look at a car and right off the bat asked us again what it would take to get us to buy it today. For crying out loud! All these people see is the dollar bills coming out of your pockets. No one cares about helping us find the right car for us or helping us make the right decision. And as soon as we explained that we are just starting the process, he shut down, became even less personable and less helpful than he was before, and basically just sat in the back seat silent during the uncomfortable and annoying test drive. We loved the car, but the whole experience of that drive put us off of it, and we were frankly ready to get out of there. I could've gotten more information from the lamp post the car was parked under. I knew more about the car than he ever will, and it baffles me how it can be your profession to sell a particular brand of car, yet know nothing about it. All of this said, I felt that I couldn't be too hard on the kid. After all, he was new to the trade and my frustration began to settle on [non-permissible content removed] who passed us off to him and the training, or lack thereof, he was receiving. Upon returning to the dealer, we were promptly ejected from the car and weren't given any opportunity to look at a different model, even though we had clearly stated we wanted to do just that. Eager to get rid of us in search of easier prey, we were rushed inside to "crunch the numbers" which consisted of us being sat down and left for 5 minutes while he had the sales manager scratch down some figure on a sales sheet for a car we hadn't even looked at. "It's close enough" was the answer when I pointed that out. Not satisfied with this and determined to get at least a shred of useful information about the finances of buying/leasing a car from this dealer, I pushed even harder. I guess something broke in his brain, and he left and returned with the sales manager. She was polite and professional but was also eager to be rid of us. Which by this time was fine with me. I was pretty much fed up and was ready to blow a fuse, but elected instead to just politely leave with what little dignity they'd allowed us to keep. I've never walked out of a place of business feeling so bad. I mean, we dress fairly nice and drive a nice vehicle now. We don't smell or have missing teeth or anything. We're not that young, approaching 30. So I don't know what it was about us that triggered that salesman instinct to kick us out the door without even trying to earn our trust or business. I suppose unless you have your checkbook out ready to go, its hands off. The ironic thing is that we were 99% sure we were going to buy that car when we drove in, and 100% sure we weren't when we drove out. And it wasn't the car's fault either. It's a brilliant car worth every penny. But not one of those penny's will go to this dreadful establishment. Although a terrible experience, we did gain something. We have now ruled out the Ford and will be buying a Hyundai. Now I just need to get this bad taste out of my mouth.

I negotiated the deal over the Internet and only went to the dealership to pickup the car. There were no surprises when we arrived to pickup the car. I would use them again.

I bought a 2006 Ford Ranger from here a few months ago and I love the truck. However, the customer service at this location is [non-permissible content removed] at best. The salesmen and managers act as if you're bothering them if you ask normal questions. I had to bring the truck in for repairs after only three months of normal use to get a new front end suspension system and alignment. This tells me this dealership does not do or does very bad quality vehicle inspections on used vehicles prior to putting them on the lot. Next time I'll be going to Crown Ford in Nashville, where customer service takes priority over ripping off customers. Avoid this dealership at all costs.
  • Great Dealership, Owners That Care

My wife and I have purchased a total of 11 new vehicles here over the years, and have always shopped around on prices. And, always the best price in Nashville is to be found 30 miles away in Murfreesboro! We a;lways suggest a price lower than we expect, and often their counter offer is better than we expected, and lower than Edmunds' average price. In addition, only one vehicle was less than totally satisfactory, and they even changed that...though it was a case of us not ordering what we really needed! Early on, we found a favorite sales person, and she soon knew what we wanted, and expected. Deals made with her were always fast and highly satisfactory!

My recent interaction with Ford of Murfreesboro was not a good one. I was looking for a specific vehicle that I was told by the sales person was very hard to find because they are very popular, but they don't make many of them. So I settled on a slightly different model and when I requested information from this dealer about a new car after several emails with questions I started receiving several responses that were not appropriate. I had to - on several occasions - let the sales person know that I did not appreciate the tone of the emails regarding MY purchase. The sales person put on a hard sell about putting a down payment down on several occasions, which I was not comfortable with at the time. After going around for several days, the sales person finally found a vehicle that met my needs and when I suggested a price, I was told they could not meet that price. I was never given a price from Ford of Murfreesboro and at that point I ended our search with them. I have since purchased a vehicle from a nearby dealer - getting the exact SUV that Ford of Murfreesboro told me was nearly impossible to find. I would not waste my time with this dealership. If I could give 0 stars, I would

  • Hard headed people to deal with

I just want to tell you of a recent experience I have had with this dealership, I visited the dealership and found a Ford F-150 on the lot that I really liked, I sat in it and thought this maybe the truck for me, I didn’t take a test drive since I wanted to do a little research on not only the Truck but the dealership also. A few days later armed with a True Car certificate I sent the dealership a email stating that I had a certificate from True car and it clearly stated on that said certificate that I could get “ANY in stock F-150 truck’ for the amount shown below. The person who responded who I won’t share he’s/her name firstly disputed the certificate and said that they couldn’t possible sell it for that price, so I gave up, then low and behold the same person a few hours later came back and said that he/she had spoken with her General Sales manager who had agreed and would honor the certificate and said I could have the truck and that they would honor the price quoted by me (how gracious of them). So since I really wanted this truck and the fact was I couldn’t find another within 150 miles with the same specs made the dealership an OTD dollar amount, an email came back stating that they couldn’t possible sell me that truck for that price but at this point this person had NOT spoken to he’s/her Sales manager since it was he’s/her day off and was reading my email from home, so he/she had already denied my offer without even consulting anyone else, as you all know when you deal with a sales person they always have to get approval for every dime from a manager. Later that day I get an email stating that they can offer me the truck OTD for $$$$$ …so at this point we were $1100 apart, the email ends with “Meet me half way”…… I stupidly took that to mean split the difference, what else could it mean, so I think about it for a while and offer another $500 the dealership then responds with blaa blaa blaa and how a good a deal this is for “ME” and that I shouldn’t let this offer go they and pass me by, yeah you know the same old record they sing about every time you try to buy a car and how they have to make money (Which isn’t true, dealers can actually sell a car/truck at a loss believe it or not), we’ve all heard it, it gets old after a while and states the Sales manager said I can have it OTD the door for $108 less than he’s original offer. now how in the world is that “Meet me half way” when I went to school I would have to say at a guess that’s about 89/11% in their favor, not sure what “Meet me half way” means anymore, so I told them where to stick their great offer and I moved on, there not the only Ford dealer but they won’t be earning my business today, tomorrow on any other day soon, at the end of the day they lost a buyer for LESS THAN $400 SO BE WARNED!!! Good Luck going here.

I worked for this dealership 5 years ago and still had a couple friends around so when my GirlFriend needed a new car, I figured there was only one place to go. Scott R., Tom L. and the rest of the team at Ford of Murfreesboro stepped up better than I could ever have asked for and she left with a brand spankin new Focus when we were thinking about checkin out a couple year old used model. We are both overly thankful and once again I am reassured that it doesnt get any better than Ford of Murfreesboro. I will be back in October to add another new Ford to the driveway!!! Thanks again guys, cant say enough how much we appreciate it! Ive read a couple bad reviews on here and they make me laugh. People have off days and Im sure its no different at Ford of Murfreesboro but we went in with a GOOD attitude and left with a brand new car, a FANTASTIC experience and look forward to returning for my next purchase soon!
