    Avoid this dealer. They will lie and bait and switch their price on you. Very unethical. I had worked with one of their sales reps and finally had a all in out the door price in writing from them that was acceptable and I informed them I accept the offer and want to come in and buy. After we agreed and I am about to head to the dealership, they reach back out and say they now have to raise their price and they can not honor the agreed to price that was just provided in writing by their sales rep. They tried to raise the price $1,300 and still expected me to go through with the purchase. Do not buy from them. They will lie to you.

    I was very satisfied with my experience at J.L. Freed Honda. After searching the dealership's website for available inventory, I submitted an online inquiry. The next morning, I received a telephone call and was invited to come to the dealership for a test drive. My salesman, Jerry Gonzalez was very courteous and respectful. The paperwork presented to me was very clear and exact - the numbers added up (to what I had calculated independently). Completing the paperwork and signing off with Business Manager Chris was a breeze. Since I went on a Saturday, it was a bit busier than an ordinary weekday and so there was a delay waiting for Chris as there were a few other contracts ahead of me. In the end, it was just under 3 hours from start to finish. I will certainly recommend any friends to Jerry for sales and to this dealership.

    Went to dealer and was greeted by Salesperson Pat Collucci outside the front door. A pleasant no pressure sale person that was honest immediately with suggestion that maybe i should consider a new vehicle as opposed to Used one that drew me into the dealership. We reached a price agreement on a 2017 Ridgeline on my first offer 2nd try. I had a handshake agreement within 15 minutes of entering the dealership. Pat prepared an agreement of sale i signed, left a slight deposit and returned later in the day to take delivery. Delivery was a snap as the finance department got me 1.5% better rate than i expected. Total time to sign everything and walk out with keys to my new Ridgeline was 10 minutes as everything was prepared for signature. This was clearly the fastest, most professional car transaction ever.     I got the best deal I have ever got from J L FREED on my Crystal Black 2016 Honda Accord Sports Coupe EX-L, V6 3.5L V6 w/6 speed Manual transmission. I know I got the best price as I looked at the entire East Coast of the USA, and J L FREED beat everyone by at lest $500 and some dealers by much more than that. John Szysco,Leeanne,Alex the finance Man and the front desk Lady and everyone else at the dealershi made me feel welcome, and I got what i asked for my Trade-in as well making this the best new car deal purchase of my life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND J L FREED .

    I had a wonderful experience with J.L. Freed Honda. I leased a 2015 Honda Civic through John Syzszko, and he literally provided me with the most positive, pleasant, not at all pushy service I've ever had in any sales experience. He went above and beyond his duties of a salesman for me, and because of his out of this world service, I would very highly recommend J.L. Freed Honda to anyone looking into buying or leasing a vehicle.

    I emailed JL Freed Honda first and was impressed with the initial warm contact. When I walked in I was not ambushed by hungry salesman but allowed to speak first. They gave me more than a fair price for my used car. They listened to my counteroffer, and second counteroffer, never getting upset or annoyed with me. When we did agree they went to bat for me on the rate of my loan. They never brought a manager into the mix and the Finance department was flexible with the overall price. Geoffery Smith was professional and personable; understood my needs and didn't push me towards something I wasn't comfortable with. Geoffery was very knowledgable and supportive of Hondas as he was a transmission mechanic for 25+ years. Sean Lipschultz was personable, not pushy or intimidating. He was honest and respectful to me, a young with zero leverage, young credit and a young family. I will stopping here first when we're looking for our next vehicle.

    Mark Iatarola was our Sales Representative. He was friendly, caring, patient and informative. He took good care to meet our needs and worked well with patience to finally close the deal. Our choice is the Honda Accord Ex-L 2016. JL Freed had been our choice to purchase our Honda more than 10 years back. We decided to purchase our vehicle once again from them. They were very helpful in going over all the options, and the differences between our present car and the 2016 Hondas. We wanted to get the order in before November and we were able to do just that Last week. The sales person was very courteous and listened to our needs and worked with us so that we could close the deal.

    We made Initial contact on Thursday, Narrowed our choices to a 2016 Accord EX-L V6 or a CRV-SUV EX-L and got preliminary pricing on Friday. Decided on the former and made our offer on Saturday. After dealer's counter offer and our final offer, we were on the same page on the morning of Monday . Shook hands and signed papers on the afternoon of Monday! The whole process was smooth!! Through the process, the salesman Mark Iatarola, exhibited a high degree of professionalism. He took time to understand our backgrounds and needs, explain the vehicle specs and included accessories in detail, suggest optional accessories we may need, offer reasonable pricing, help us arrive at the choice of our vehicle and offer preliminary pricing. Once decided, he analyzed the basis for our offer, made his counter offer, accepted our final offered walked us through the signing process. He treated us with respect and a friendly demeanor. He will be an asset to J.L.Freed and we recommend him highly to our friends! We went to buy a car and walked away with a friend!!

    This is the WORST sales experience I've ever had. Does ANYONE know a car dealer that is "Too Busy" to sell a used car? This place is that dealer. It has been almost a week, and they have yet to return a call.

    I had a very bad experience on Sat April 25, 2015 at JL Freed Honda dealership, I was dealing with Salesman Chris B for 2 cars and we had a good discussion regarding pricing and a this guy Sean L jumped into the conversation with his arrogant attitude and treated us with very badly.He made us feel as if we were discriminated for Racism. We were planning to spend almost $56,000 with them for two cars obviously we need some time to think and plan and judge everything. This guy Sean said, " you are wasting our Saturday. " if ALL CUSTOMERS ARE WASTING HIS TIME then what he doing there, what kind of business he is running. We were ready to to hit the deal but his attitude really [non-permissible content removed] us off. You cannot deal with customers like this -"ABSOLUTElY NOT ACCEPTED". Its shame on the company they have untrained staff which give bad reputation to the well established 180 yr old company fist i was impressed by the name and reputation of this company but the customer service still need a lot of work. I m very disappointed. Later we went to Conicelli Honda dealership were we hit our deal with BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAY LOWER PRICE THAN

    We had a comfortable sales experience with Pat Colucci from start to finish - No bull, no hype. Transparent process throughout led to my first leasing experience of a new Civic. For someone who approaches buying a new car like going to the dentist, it was a pleasant relief dealing with Pat and the team at J.L. Freed.

    I spoke to a few dealerhships and I was given the usual sales BS from several shark-like car salesmen tyring to make a buck. However, I kept shopping around online and calling dealerships until I found JL Freed Honda and then life became simple. This is my first brand new car buy ever. I was extremely nervous, but all the staff at JL Freed Honda from receptionist to sales person were friendly, customer-service oriented and eager to provide me with whatever I needed to find the right car at the right price. I already knew the car I wanted so I just needed a couple of estimates and about a million questions answered. No matter how many times I called, no matter how many emails went back and forth, and no matter how nervous and nearly impossible at moments I was to deal with, this dealership was unbelievably friendly, utterly patient and superbly efficient. Their refreshingly candid and non-pushy sales approach was worth my driving an hour and 44 minutes. I highly recommend JL Freed Honda to anyone that wants to be helped and not pushed to buy a car...to anyone that needs service and not attitude... and mostly to anyone that just needs a dealer that has integrity and is straightforward. Diana and Ron thank you so very much! I love my new car and it was a pleasure working with you!

    I get that these saleman want to get you physically in the dealership to sell the vehicle. At JL Freed, I was told a price over the phone, made an appointment to come in and finalize the deal, then was told by the finance person that they would not sell me the car at the price we discussed. They wanted to charge an additional $3000 down. I find it hard to believe that dealers still rsport to these tactics to make a few bucks on a sale. I would stay away from this dealer and find someone with better ethics and reputation. FYI....I drove to the next closest Honda dealer and bought the car for the price I had planned to pay. Silly.
    • INQUIRY DETAILS I'm the finance manager this person is referring to. First the car was for his girlfriend and not him. Second because of her credit she did not qualify for the super preferred tier that we quoted the payment with. Third when it was determinded by the bank of her qualifications I told the actual customer she would need to put down $3000.00 to get to her original quoted payment,due to the higher tier she qualified for. This is a subvented rate program by honda which would not allow me to mark up the rate, so I had nothing to gain by getting more money from her,this was only to show her what it would take to get back to her original payment. Fourth he wanted to do a straw purchase, which i told him that straw purchases are illegal and I would pass on the deal. So there was no bait and switch, or anything unethical on our end. The only unethical manuver is from the guy that is pretending to be the actual customer.SILLY IS'NT IT? By the way I'm sure Honda finance would be interested in this story,would'nt you agree Mr. straw buyer.

  • Perfect Car Salesman and Dealership

    My first experience with J.L Freed was with Ted Sobel. I leased a Honda with Ted and found the entire process to be easy and refreshingly honest. There were several other dealers bidding for my lease, in addition to a reasonable quote, Ted offered the most professional delivery and demeanor. The whole transaction was very low maintenance. Ted acclaimated me to the car and was patient with all of my questions. I can't imagine a more perfect business transaction. The whole dealership has a freindly atmosphere. Highly reccommend.
  • my deposit was taken off the mugen without my knowledge or permission

    I went to Freed to talk with a salesman who sold me my first honda from Keenan. I went and put a deposit down on the Mugen. I put the deposit down sometime in October and was told that they thought it would come in sometime in January. That was all of the information they could give me. My salesman could not offer me a more accurate eta. After learning the msrp of the Mugen, I went back to my salesman to discuss my options and compare the Mugen to a regular Si. I was trying to come up with a better idea of why the Mugen was really up to $9,000 more over the regular Si. May I remind you that at no point had I told my sales man to remove my name or deposit from the Mugen. To make a long story short, my car salesman never once got back to me after I contacted him about matching competitors accessory pricing. Almost a month later I went back to find the status of the Mugen (of which I was told by another dealer that all of the Mugens had been shipped and if it wasn't at the dealer already, they probably weren't getting one). My salesman was very shady about this process and wouldn't really give me straight answers. I asked when it was coming in, if it ever was and he, being the sly salesman he is, told me, "well it's on it's way" and never gave me an eta although I saw it listed right there on the computer screen when he walked away. And then to top it off he told me that he took my name off of it. Without asking me or me giving him the permission to do so, he took my $500 deposit and name off of the Mugen. Is this proper business dealing? I don't think so! I asked for my deposit back and left. Freed is a very sly dealership that appears to have some shady business practices among its salespeople. If you know what is good for you, you will stay away from this dealership.

    We wanted to look for a new car. Our Honda was 13 years old. We actually were dreading going to a dealer but the people at JLFreed could not have been better. They were friendly,helpful and honestly had our best interest at heart. I have already started recommending them and will continue to do so. Our salesperson Geoff,was so funny,friendly and helped us with our selection. He could not have made it easier if he had tried! You could tell how much he loved his job. As for our selection...we bought a Honda CRV..and if it had a refrigerator..we would live in it.

    Great Dealership! This was my first purchase and Sean L., Alex Z., and David N. made it an amazing experience. The customer service was phenomenal and they answered any questions that I had without any hesitation. Sean was extremely helpful in working hard to make sure I got the car I absolutely wanted. He made my entire experience full of excitement and fun! Trust me, I been to several dealerships where you are there for hours, but not at JL Freed! David's colorful attire made him very personable! My little sister loved his pink shoes and still remembers his name to this day!! I'm glad David sets his self apart from any other dealership instead of wearing the same boring attire as other dealerships. He truly had a great personality my girlfriend, little sister, and I will never forget. In addition, Alex from the finance department worked hard and fast to make sure I received the best interest rate as possible. I would absolutely highly recommend Sean, Alex, and David to anyone looking to purchase a car; as they are the Great Trio!! Not only did they help me purchase my car, I made 3 awesome new friends!!!! Satisfied is an understatement! Clearly this trio and dealership knows all about customers. I had an awesome experience at JL Freed! Don, has an amazing team! Keep doing what your doing!     Service was Great. Both Ron and Geoff were very friendly and knowledgeable re the CV-R that we purchased. Ron answered all of our questions in a very friendly and profeeional manner. Just came back from our first trip and were veery happy with the cars performance.

    I have driven Honda Odysseys for many years and I am a big fan of the product but not the process. My current lease was coming due and the dealer I have used for years moved to Florida leaving me searching for a new dealership. A coworker recommended JL Freed,over an hours drive from where I live. It was more than worth the drive. Any stigma I associated with the car buying process was dispelled by this dealership. I called ahead and with skepticism told them exactly what I wanted to drive; and what I was willing to pay. No haggling-no upselling-no "just come in and we will talk". None of the things that make car buying unpleasant occurred here. I knew what I wanted and they made it happen. I called this past Tueaday and within minutes had a return call and a deal made! I drove to the dealership Wednesday afternoon and as I pulled in I saw my new car waiting. From the moment I entered until they handed me my keys and said congratulations-10 minutes! That is not a typo. I did the 30 second credit app online and then signed all the papers on arrival to their store. From the woman who greeted me when I arrived to Alex in finance and Pat C. my salesman, I was treated with courtey and respect. I highly recommend asking for Pat if you go there. A special thanks to the GM Lisa N. who I dealt with on the phone and greeted me like I have known her forever. The owner of the store even came over to thank me for my purchase. I can't say enough about how easy they made the process. I am a woman that purchased alone and I never felt pressure to purchase. They explained everything regarding paperwork and how to use the vehicle in complete detail. This dealership treated me so well I will actually drive the hour for service and I will be sending people their way! I read reviews before I go anywhere or make a big pruchase. If you know me, you know I hate the car buying process. This dealership surpassed my expectations!

    You could say I am “Credit Challenged” and finding a vehicle that would fit my growing family and trying to find something within my budget, that I would actually like to drive and not just settle on something, was not an easy task to say the least. I wanted to take the opportunity to express my gratitude for the friendliest and most professional manner your dealership extended to my family and I. Because my credit is not perfect, the other dealerships I have visited didn’t give me one tenth of the time and consideration that your facility had extended. I was treated like someone who had a perfect A+ credit and was respected, which was extremely refreshing to know there are still genuinely kind people in the sales business. I originally visited the dealership to look at a pre-owned vehicle with 90,000+ miles, thinking I would never be able to get anything newer due to my credit situation. After spending two days negotiating with the bank on my behalf, the staff at J.L. Freed Honda – The Sales Representative, David N.; Internet Sales Manager, Sean L.; Business Manager, Alex Z.; and the General Manager, Lisa N. - had me driving away in a brand new 2013 Honda Pilot 4WD EX that I am absolutely in love with and most importantly fit my budget. I did not feel any pressure to look at any vehicle I did not like. They didn’t make me settle on what deal would have been easiest for them to make. Each person named above really took the time and effort to really help my family and I out at a tough spot in our life. They honestly did whatever they could, just to make us happy. I will recommend J.L Freed Honda to anyone that is looking to buy or lease any new or pre-owned vehicle. They have a great selection and the most welcoming, accommodating staff you can imagine. This is not like any dealership I have ever visited before and I know this will be the only dealership I return to in the future.
