DON'T DO IT
by Anthony on 03/28/2019Doing business with this dealership is a mistake. The majority of their positive reviews are clearly written by friends, family, and the employees themselves, so read the negative ones before you make the error of walking into this… dealership. The first interaction that I had with Bristol Auto Mall was a phone conversation in which it was claimed that the car I was looking at buying was sold. I was disappointed as I had already driven myself and my mother one hour of the three-and-a-half hour drive from my home town towards Levittown. Less than an hour later, as I neared my house on the way back, A call was placed to my home phone from the dealer in which it was relayed to my step-father that the car was not, in fact, sold. So, a couple hours later. myself and my mother took the long trip to PA. When we arrived, before being shown the car or being asked if we wanted a test drive, my mother (who, because of my age was legally required to buy the car for me,) was interrogated regarding her credit and annual income. Already, many things seemed amiss. After investigating the car, I discovered a few electronic and cosmetic issues (broken hood latch, broken window trim, faulty window switch.) This all seemed normal for a used car and i requested that it be fixed before we came to any agreement about buying the car. The dealer agreed. Because the window switch required a longer fix then we had time for, we resolved to leave and come back later to buy the car. A few days later, we made the trip back (at this point, we had spent at least 8 hours driving in attempts to purchase the car.) When we got there, I noticed that the window trim had been cheaply “repaired” using double-sided tape and had already been again detached from the window frame by moisture or force. The window switch was detached from the door panel (we were told the part didn’t come in time,) and the hood latch felt temporarily repaired and much less solid then the one on our current CPO BMW. After taking care of the financial business (which had suspicious intricacies of its own, and took about three hours) we were told that the car had been in an unreported accident and had suffered structural damage which was noticed by the auction that had sold it... I was hoping to purchase my first automobile for my birthday, but Bristol Auto Mall turned it into a long, nightmarish, and suspicious process which had cost my family and myself nearly twenty hours altogether. Please, for your own sake, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP, or you might end up driving away in a car with hidden issues.Great deal!

by Me on 11/08/2018I would not recommend buying from these men . Worst 8 hours of my life and we still have car issues after purchasing a vehicle . Now the other gentlemen that helped show the vehicles were great but the two owners , never again . I will ask… USAA to remove them from their buying siteFalse advertisement
by Bad on 09/24/2018First of all the dealership looks nothing like the website. Don’t be fooled. Not worth the trip. I was looking at a vehicle online they advertised and made an hour drive. It ended up being a small corner lot with cars all crammed in there… like a junk yard .I met with Phil. I was looking at a Tahoe which looked like a beautiful truck in the ad. I looked at the engine, the body and inside. It had a fogged upnheadlight. (Moisture) . It had had damage that wasn’t mentioned. The inside smelled of mildew. After inspecting the entire truck I found a bad crack near the brake light spoiler that caused leakage which they claimed to not have known about. He said he would fix it. It was too late. I was turned off as soon as I saw the place but figured let’s give it a try. Why would you sell a vehicle with obvious damage. A decent dealer would make the repairs and then sell it. Nice looking vehicle, but bad advertisement. Unless you’re okay with buying at a small gas station style dealership don’t waste your time. They need major improvement. Should’ve left at first sight.Do not purchase from this place
by Sylvia on 08/21/2018updated 09/05/2018I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and within 2 months from purchase I started having issues with the car. They would take days before answering and did not help at all. Out of 4 months of owning the car, it has been in and out of… mechanics for at least 1 month. I have spent so much money on fixing it and only owned it for 4 months. They only care to sell cars but do not care to help afterwards. Worst dealership! I would not recommend it or ever go back!2003 Toyota RAV 4
by C_Good on 08/22/2018updated 09/05/2018I live in Atlanta and found the 2003 Toyota Rav4 online. I inquired with dealership via internet 1st, then by phone and got Phil, a fantastic a-typical used car salesman. He was very courteous, good natured and most of all very HONEST! I… arrived via UBER, looked over the vehicle and took a test drive with Phil The check engine light was on. They diagnosed it as faulty EGR valve which they ordered, installed, then had to reorder because they were sent the wrong part. The second part came, they installed, engine light off, we closed the deal. Off I went to drive back to Atlanta. In my haste to leave I forgot to get my $15 change from the cash transaction. I rang Phil up and he put a check in the mail the next day. GREAT service. I would highly recommend Phil and the owner, 2 stand up guys. The run a good ship, make sure you ask for PHIL!Good Guys Selling Good Cars
by E.J. on 07/16/2018I'd decided I wanted to buy a used Mazda CX-9 SUV to replace my Dodge p/u truck that got totaled in a multi-vehicle thing. After doing a fair amount of Internet homework, I went out and visited several 'used car lots' within a 30-mile… radius of my home, before trying Bristol Auto Mall. My first impression was that, compared to the other places, this place was busy. Lots of activity. When I walked up, I saw a casually-dressed salesman talking with another customer. He paused a second to introduce himself to me as PHIL and ask what I want, and said he thinks their advertised CX-9 is tucked away in the back of their packed lot, so I hunted it down while he finished with his customer. It was a 2014 model with a perfectly undamaged body and fairly new tires, so I went back to PHIL. He was still busy, so he shouted to some kid to go inside the office and get me the keys to it. Right away, I liked the easy, down-to-earth "dynamic" of this place. What you see is what you get... I started it up and was left undisturbed for 15 minutes as the engine warmed up and I rooted all thru (and under) that thing. Then I tracked down PHIL, who had some other helper move a bunch of cars so I could take it for a test ride (with PHIL). I've been in the construction industry since the 70's, and I found him to have a "construction guy" air about him. He's an easy guy to get along with. The CX-9 ran beautifully as we "talked turkey" a little during the ride, and we agreed on a price. Their Internet listed price was already pretty good, but he did take a little off that price for me. I opted for a 2-year / 30,000 mile Warranty on it, too. PHIL's boss (office manager Dmitry) was able to offer me a little discount on that, too. Since I was flying out to Colorado the next day (for a week) and still had 10 days left on the 30-day car rental from my insurance company, asked them to just hold onto it until I got back. They told me they would store it safely in another locked lot they have, and said I should call them once I get back in Philly, so they can wash it and have it ready for me. A week later, I phoned them and picked it up the next day. It was clean and shiny and they'd even put a new Inspection sticker on it for me. This was 5 weeks ago. I have now driven it 1600 miles and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that vehicle, thus far. So, if anything does go wrong with it from this point on, then it's not something those guys at Bristol Auto Mall could have known about. I feel I got a good car at a good price from a used car dealer that provides good service. In my time at that car lot, I got to observe and overhear their interactions with other customers, --enough to know I wasn't just "lucky". If you go in there, you can expect to have a good experience with down-to-earth guys who are just there to sell cars at a fair price and make a little money. You can explain your money situation to them and, if they can, they'll work with you to get you some decent wheels. I mainly dealt with PHIL and Dmitry, but the other guys all seemed pretty cool, too.excellent service
