The first time I've actually had a pleasent experience buying an automobile
by slooose on 08/07/2007The sales staff at Kendall were very knowledgable and helpful. No pressure what so ever. Went out of his way to make sure we understood how all the instruments and gauges worked. Even acknowledged me when I brought it back to have my dealer… options installed (running boards and undercoating). I have had an experience at a previous dealer that barely gave me the time of day the very next day after purchasing a new vehicle.double check anything they tell you!

Which leads me to feel confident in stating I was probably lied to about the value of my trade in as well as the deal in general. Because Kendall is the ONLY Honda… dealer in Eugene they have the NEW Honda market cornered . I say opt for a used Honda if you can, or drive to Corvallis or anywhere else for your NEW Honda. Maybe expecting some basic honesty and follow through when you need to purchase a car from a dealer in a pinch is naive, obviously it was in MY case. That said, For me, many of their actions lived up to the "used car salesman" stereotype we all know. As a result my trust in Kendall is lacking. Luckily I don't have to service my car at Kendall to guaranty my warranty. I just have to keep good records. Hopefully this gives you a heads up to second guess everything if you choose to buy from Kendall Honda. If you choose to purchase there I hope your have a better experience than I did. You likely will if you Just remember 1. Bring another person 2. Read everything 2x 3. Caveat emptor. 4. Question everything. Not necessarily in that order. Easy to work with

We felt that Justin worked hard to get us the best possible price on our new car. He was professional and polite. He responded quickly to our… questions. Everyone that worked at Kendall was friendly and treated us well. We spoke to many dealerships before purchasing and felt that Kendall Honda was the best place to buy a new Honda in Oregon!Bad Experience will not do businees again

We asked about the $500 flex cash they had if we financed the car though Honda. The sales man told us the day before we purchased… the car we would have no trouble getting the flex cash due to are excellent credit rating. We went in the next day to purchase the car and all the sudden the flex cash was all gone and we got mad because he flat out lied to us and told us he never said that the flex cash was available. We confronted him about it and asked him why he lied to us and be got very belligerent with us and told us he was going to get the general manager. Meanwhile we were getting up and walking out the door when the general manager approached us and asked us what the problem was we explained what the problem was and he told us the $500 flex cash was his to do with what he see's fit and he said that we got such a good deal on the car he was not going to give us the flex cash. We told him the $500 flex cash was if you financed the car though the honda corporation and anyway after arguing with the general manager we finally got $100 of it when we should have gotten all the $500. We bought a car from them several years ago and they lied then to. They told us we could not have the car for what we wanted to pay for it and it would never get that low and then about a week later it was alot cheaper then what we purchased the car for.plus I had to deal with more then one sales associate which I was not happy with.
Ask for Cory Newport or Duane Farnham!

Additionally, I was a returning Kendall customer so I liked the fact that even though… Cory Newport is located at Kendall Ford, he could still help me with my purchase at any Kendall location. Past experiences have left me not appreciating most car sales people but Cory is not like the typical pushy, fast-talking type ... he's extremely down to earth & helpful!Not a good dealership
by chuckles0505 on 03/19/2012updated 06/20/2025I have had nothing but problems with these people. They have treated me very poorly. I paid $632 to have three clear coats and they only gave me one. They said they only had to put one on but the documentation I had said I was to get… three. It turns out there was a time limit on when the work could be done, and I had passed the date, so they could have not done it at all and kept my money legally. Please, don't get that with your new car!! Totally not worth it, and they try to get you to pay for it when you buy the car! Also the salesman was with another customer for a long time while I waited to make an offer. It was clear this man had a potential buyer for a high-end vehicle so he ignored me. Don't buy from this dealership!Great dealership, great people, great business
by startdw82civwg on 02/02/2012updated 06/20/2025The service writer Dale was great on my last visit because he quickly assessed what I needed to have done, gave me the amount of time that it would take, and arranged for me to get back to the dealership to pick up my car. In fact, the time… Kendall took to complete the work was one third the amount Dale told me it would take at check in. When I arrived to pick up my car, it was not only finished, but washed and ready to go! I couldn't ask for more, it was a very pleasant transaction. This is my latest experience, but this is the third time I have been back to Kendall Honda since purchasing my Accord there. The service department has truly exceeded my expectations on each visit. This is my fifth Honda, but the first I have purchased and serviced at Kendall. Now, I wish I could have bought the other four there as well. by aaronj87 on 01/25/2013updated 06/20/2025On 06 January, 2013 at or around 2:33pm, I used The Automatic Car Wash and Kendall Honda, which is part of the Kendall Automotive Group in Eugene OR at 846 Goodpasture Island Rd. [non-permissible content removed.] I was told to release the… steering wheel, place the car in neutral and turn off the vehicle. I did exactly that. My car was forced into the car in front of me, causing an accident. Following the accident, I verified that the driver of the front vehicle was aware that I would advocate for the well being of her vehicle. I gave her all of my contact information. We both spoke with Dylan G. He was attending the car was at the time. He had instructed me to place my car in neutral and release control of the steering wheel prior to entering. He handled the situation well and my concern is not with him. (Thank you Dylan) I notified her that I have dealt with insurance companies and MV (Motor Vehicle) dealerships on a prior basis and made it clear that being assertive is very important. She assured me that Kendall Honda was trustworthy and would take care of her. In agreement, I had seen nothing but positive experienced from Kendall up until this point. This morning I received a call from Rudolpho M. explaining that he would rather have the insurance companies figure out who was at fault. I explained in no uncertain terms that both cars were in complete control of the car wash. Neither driver was at fault. I now have a claim on my insurance!!!! Stay away from this company, and avoid trusting your car care to them.
