    I talked to a family member who bought a 2021 eco sport in Cleveland got total of $7500 off I talked to Interstate Ford I believe the salesman was Thomas said I could get the rebate $4500 and I couldn't use my family's discount off as well. So if I go to Cleveland I can get $7500 off only $4500 off in Dayton shame on them for not allowing the same price

  • Walked a buyer, never do that!

    We went in to look at an 07 Ridgeline price at 10K The vehicle was in good condition with only 109k miles. Well under market avg. We offered $8400 for it, 0 down financing, My wife and I both signed, she has good credit, mine is fair. They pushed back on the loan as no one will finance it. Saying the miles were too high (Nonsense, it's well under the market avg for that year) and that it's too old, again, nonsense. If these were true, then they should have auctioned the vehicle. They honestly didn't even try to sell the thing to us, despite us trying to buy it. Not even an attempt at subprime, which we would have tried. Here's the issue. It's grossly overpriced. Our offer came in well above what the avg market price for that vehicle was at, avg market was about $6000-7000. We were at $8400. They originally had it at $10,800, with an $800 discount. Researching trade values, they likely paid $3-4k for it blackbook. This is why the prime lenders balked, they have TOO MUCH markup on the vehicle. This kills the collateral value of the car. No bank in their right mind would give a loan on this, they did blame it on other things though. Had it been the right price, yes a loan would happen, car lots do that every single day, it's called selling used cars. Something I used to do for a living. Walking a customer is not something I can easily comprehend. My former bosses, Mr. Walker. Mr. Harrigan. The late Mr. Martin would have fired me on the spot for doing that.

    We bought a new F-150 at Interstate Ford but after driving it home my husband knew he had bought the wrong type of vehicle. We returned it the next day and traded for a Ford Edge SUV. Our salesman, Adam Gilbert was a perfect gentlemen and never once seemed aggravated that we wanted to trade the truck, instead he was "over the top" helpful in getting us into the right car! We highly recommend Adam and Interstate Ford!

  • Very Unhappy Customer

    Decided to buy locally and follow the recommendation of mutual friend of the owner Mr George. As the friend indicated he would, Chuck George worked with me personally on the deal. Unfortunately, he did not tell me that the incentive program was expiring in 3 days to give me an opportunity to wait and see if the incentive changed in my favor. It did, and I paid $ 2500 more than I should have. I contacted Mr. George and Ford to request some consideration - "no way". To put icing on the cake, I also bought the extended warranty because I received Chuck's "special price". Later learned I could buy this online after the sale from another local Ford dealer for $600 less. Per the contract, it cost me $300 to cancel the unused. warranty after 2500 miles. I can understand that car dealers are in business to make a profit. However, I find it hard to believe that it was really worth it to gouge me on this transaction. I really expected to be treated more honestly and ethically by the same Chuck George who I was told would treat me fairly and respectfully. Buyer beware!

    I liked that I felt my salesman, Lawrence, was working for my benefit. I also liked that he and his manager did what they could to get the car into my monthly payment range.

    From the moment I arrived, I loved how attentive the employees were. Chuck was so nice and asked what I wanted and payments that I could afford. Darrell has been amazing. I've had multiple questions and had to make multiple stops, but he's been so helpful every time and so willing to show me how to use things in my new car. I love it that I can have a "Darrell List of Questions" instead of trying to figure out how to do it from the manual. Combo of Chuck (even though he's the owner) and Darrell for customer service are amazing! Loved them both!

  • Worst Car Buying Experience I've ever had!

    I purchased a 2009 Focus from the dealership and initially thought I was getting a good deal. This is my 3rd Focus and my 6th Ford. I am a loyal Ford customer. After searching the internet, I found the vehicle I wanted and visited this dealership. Everything went great and they came up with the payments I wanted and an INCREDIBLE interest rate! Needless to say, I purchased the car. 3 days later I receive a call from the finance guy saying they couldn't get that loan approved and they had to go somewhere else at a higher interest rate. I spoke to a friend who is in car sales and he said this is a tactic they use to get a higher kickback from a back that gives them more. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the SYNC didn't work AT ALL on this vehicle. When I brought it back the service department couldn't take 2 seconds to find out what was wrong with it (it is likely a wire unplugged). Took the vehicle to [another dealership] and they got me in the same day even tho I bought it from another dealership. Wish I would have bought it from [another dealership] to begin with. To make matters worse, both the sales person and the finance person were had agreed to hold my downpayment check for a couple weeks. Guess what!!! They deposited it the day I gave it to them to hold!!!!!!! When I called back, I spoke to a the finance manager and she is giving me the overdraft fee money for my account and apologized over and over so it was nice to find someone who was willing to make some of this right but overall, the whole experience sucked and I will never deal with Interstate Ford again.

    I have bought four cars from this Dealership and have had a wonderful experience everytime I have been there. The staff is friendly and outgoing and willing to help me no matter when I go in. The owner Chuck George is especially great with dealing with customers and to me. They treat me like family there.

    My wife and I researched the internet for a 2008 Ford Escape Limited 4X4 and found the one that we wanted at this dealership. They said call for the internet price so we did. I'll be the first to say I was fooled into going to the dealer because he said he wasn't sure of the internet price but that typically it's no more than 400.00 over invoice. That added with the 1500.00 rebate and 5.9 for 5 years peaked our interest. We found the car on Edmunds and added in the options to come up with the calculated price MSRP, INVOICE, and TMV. The MSRP was 31500 as I recall and the invoice was 27,300 and the TMV was around 28500. Since the guy said he could not give invoice figures over the phone we decided to print the information off and take a ride. When got there we found a very friendly 21 year old salesman - very wet behind the ears. He took us for a ride and we checked out the SUV. We liked what we saw. Then the runaround began. He wanted all this information. I said let's just start with some figures. He kept on asking while he was filling out a sales form of some kind (jumping the gun i'd say). I said I'' give you standard info but I won't give financial info until I see figures on the car. Finally after hem hauling around and checking to see if the rebate and apr went together (which it clearly states on Ford's website) the come back and say it's either or and which one do we want. I said I don't think that's the case but figure both up and come back with some figures. Well he comes back with a guy and this guy has the printed invoice. Well guess what. Their invoice started 1000,00 higher than edmunds even before options were added. All said and done he said the car could be ours for 400.00 over invoice which with the options was 29,500. I then said sorry boys we are going to have to rethink those figures and then pulled out my edmunds worksheet complete with all the options that car had on it. I said I can get this car for around 28,500 based upon TMV for this car on edmunds. Of course they said they don't know how edmunds arrived at those figures but they could not sell the car for that because they would take a 600.00 loss because their invoice was 29,100. I said surely edmunds has no incentive to lie or grudge against Interstate Ford, Ford, or any dealership for that matter. I said bottom line give me the car for 28500 at 5.9% interest for 60 months and you have a deal. He said we cant do that but we will take 200.00 more off bringing the cost to 29,300 before taxes. I said 28500 at 5.9% for 5 years. He said we can't do that sorry. I said ok we're done then. I stood up and shook his hand reached to shake the 21 year olds hand and he was visibly pissed. He did not want to shake my hand but I continued to extend it until he did. I then left with my wife and never looked back.
