Dealership Sales Review
I purchased a 2009 Focus from the dealership and initially thought I was getting a good deal. This is my 3rd Focus and my 6th Ford. I am a loyal Ford customer. After searching the internet, I found the vehicle I wanted and visited this dealership. Everything went great and they came up with the payments I wanted and an INCREDIBLE interest rate! Needless to say, I purchased the car. 3 days later I receive a call from the finance guy saying they couldn't get that loan approved and they had to go somewhere else at a higher interest rate. I spoke to a friend who is in car sales and he said this is a tactic they use to get a higher kickback from a back that gives them more. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the SYNC didn't work AT ALL on this vehicle. When I brought it back the service department couldn't take 2 seconds to find out what was wrong with it (it is likely a wire unplugged). Took the vehicle to [another dealership] and they got me in the same day even tho I bought it from another dealership. Wish I would have bought it from [another dealership] to begin with. To make matters worse, both the sales person and the finance person were had agreed to hold my downpayment check for a couple weeks. Guess what!!! They deposited it the day I gave it to them to hold!!!!!!! When I called back, I spoke to a the finance manager and she is giving me the overdraft fee money for my account and apologized over and over so it was nice to find someone who was willing to make some of this right but overall, the whole experience sucked and I will never deal with Interstate Ford again.
