    The sales manager was very rude that he asked me to leave the showroom. This was the dealership at hickory. I would ask my friends not to visit the dealership and visit who would be more respectful

    We were very pleased with the prompt, professional, and polite service that we received from Phillip Rosenbalm. He worked diligently to answer all of our questions about the 2016 Honda Accord that we were interested in purchasing. He assisted us in determining that this vehicle met our needs and had all of the information available to us for our research. When we returned to the dealership the paperwork and vehicle were prepared for our appointment. We were very pleased with the entire process from asking questions, test driving, researching, and purchasing. We are pleased with the vehicle and appreciate the time that Phillip Rosenbalm put into this transaction.

    After emailing several Honda dealers, Mark Buchanan answered my inquiry promptly. I stopped in with the intention of looking at the car available and asking a few questions. Within minutes, Mark located the car I wanted to see. Knowing I had a very limited time frame, Mark handled everything expertly and quickly. Vince in the finance office was great, and had all the paperwork ready. Villy was waiting to assist me with the electronic set up in the new car. This being the 3rd Honda I've purchased from Hendrick Hickory, I highly recommend this dealership. I drive from Gastonia to Hickory for routine maintenance due to the excellent service department. The staff and service after the sale makes all the difference when purchasing a vehicle. Stop in and see Mark Buchanan for a great sales experience!

    We just leased a Honda CRV-EX from Hendrick Honda of Hickory. After doing a lot of on-line searching and evaluating, we requested specific quotes from a number of Honda dealers in the area. Several of the quotes were close in price, but Chris Osborne, General Sales Manager, kept in touch and asked what else it would take to earn our business. We made a reasonable request which then made his offer the best. We picked up our new car that afternoon. Shaun Haynes, one of the sales professionals, assisted us in a friendly, efficient manner and made sure that everything was completed as quickly as possible. He did a great job of making sure that we understood the features of the car and that we were happy. Great deal, smooth process, happy customers!

    My husband and I have been using Hendrick Honda of Hickory to purchase all of our cars. We went a year ago to purchase a car and to work on building our car credit. We were assisted by Andrew Courtney! He is incredible!! He helped us pick the right car for our needs. After a year, we decided that an upgrade was the right choice for our family.. So of course we rang Andy and told him that we would be in to see him soon. He was so helpful, yet again. He is consistent in his service and he is knowledgeable. He doesn't try to force a sale on you or force you into a car that doesn't fit your budget. If you have a car in mind or even if you don't, he will listen to what you need/want in a car and find the perfect fit for you. If you are considering a new/used car for your family, stop by Hendrick Honda of Hickory and ask for Andrew Courtney. You will NOT be disappointed.

    I have purchased multiple cars from Hendrick Honda through the years and as always the service was outstanding as usual. The staff is so friendly. Kelly Secrest was excellent and was so easy to work with. I want to say a special thank you to Rick McClure for his impeccable service. Patrick Greene in finance was excellent. He took time to answer all of my questions and provided multiple options. Thank you to all for your excellent customer service and for making my car buying experience pleasant.

    I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership. Mark Buchanan was my salesman and he was wonderful to work with. He was patient with my questions and quick to address any concerns I expressed. He promptly answered my emails and worked hard to ensure I was completely satisfied throughout the entire process. His exemplary customer service helped make my car buying experience a positive one, and I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends!

    My daughter came into the dealership to see what her options were, because her car lease was about to expire, and she wanted to know what her options were...leasing again vs. financing. Donovan Rinehardt was excellent! He not only asked the right questions, but he listened! Donovan was patient and thorough! He was able to show my daughter several options to assist her with making the best decision. My daughter left with a new car and completely happy with her purchase. I have purchased many cars, and this was the best buying experience I have ever seen! The whole process went seamlessly! This entire experience has me getting the itch to purchase a car with you guys! I will be referring all of my family and friends to see Donavon at Hendricks Honda of Hickory! Donovan is the Best!

    I received a call from the Head Sales Manager who offered me the car the web site price. I told him I had since received the Edmunds price and he agreed to sell me the car at the Edmunds price plus give me $1,400 more for my trade in, a total of $3,000 less than the previous best offer and almost $4,700 less than the original offer. He just didn't get it. If he could sell me the car for $4,700 less than sticker price why did he wait until after I was harassed by one of his sales managers and went on Edmunds to get three offers (Hickory Honda was the highest)? Many senior citizens don't know much about the internet. Many other people either don't have access to a computer or don't know how to use one. These are the people who are easily cheated by the sales policy of Hickory Honda. Being scolded by a sales manager who tells them that the mark up on the car in only 4% make many honest people feel they may be cheating the dealer which they don't want to do. (the MSRP is 9.89% higher than the dealer invoice and the average selling price is less than dealer invoice). The point that the sales manager just doesn't understand is that if you can offer a car for more than $3,000 under MSRP on Edmunds, that trying to get MSRP is cheating the customer. If you sell a car to one person at the Edmunds price, you should sell an identical car to others for the same price. Even at the Edmunds price Hickory Honda was $1,200 to $1,300 higher than the other two offers. No, I didn't take the Hickory Honda offer. I just don't feel comfortable dealing with people I cannot trust.

    We have purchased 2 cars from Hendrick Honda of Hickory. Most recently a 2013 certified Civic. So far no problems, and don't expect any for awhile since we had our 2012 Civic for a year and a half and no issues. The salesman we dealt with, Andrew Courtney was very nice and if he wasn't sure of an answer he would tell you instead of making things up, which we appreciated that. I will say that one of the used car managers did lie to me about something, nothing to do with the car, but when he saw I knew better he backed off, I'll leave his name out of this. They are not the cheapest Honda dealership around, but they for the most part, are the most friendly. Being treated like a person and not a checkbook is worth $200 more to me. Hondas are hard to beat, and getting a certified Honda is a no-brainer...it really does make a difference.
    • I received a call from the head Sales Manager at Hickory Honda who offered to sell me the car at the price on the web site. I had checked with Edmunds and Hickory Honda's price was about $1,600 less that the web site price. The head Sales Manager then offered to give me the Edmunds price plus increased the trade in on my car by $1,400. This meant the final offer was $3,000 less than the best offer I previously had and about $4,700 less than the original offer I got at Hickory Honda. But to get that price I had to endure a rude sales manager who got angry that I wouldn't believe that he only had 4% to negotiate with on price (the difference between the invoice and MSRP is 9.88% and the invoice price is not what they pay for a car. In fact the average selling price is lower than the invoice price); be accused of not wanting to buy a car; go on Edmunds to get three quotes (Honda of Hickory was the highest)and basically be told if I didn't take the deal not to come back to Hickory Honda. The sales manager just didn't get it. I believe that car dealers should not try to cheat their customers. Yes, they should make a profit, even one that is more that the additional dealer profit they add on as "document fee", but the final selling price should be somewhat reasonable. They would have sold me the car for $4,700 more than the final offer. That is a huge difference. $4,700 may not be much to Hickory Honda but to most buyers it is a lot. Many senior citizens don't know much about using the internet. Many of us grew up during a time when even car dealers were a bit more honest. Senior citizens and those either without computers or not very computer literate are the ones that sales policies like those used by Hickory Honda hurt the most. I don't want to cheat the dealer but I don't want to be cheated either. People should not have to put up with harassment to get a fair deal on a car. No one should have to pay more for a car than what the dealer will offer on any web site. And no, I didn't buy the car. I don't like to deal with people I cannot trust.

    I recently purchased a used Civic for my daughter. Great car and excellent service by Patrick Greene and Rick McClure. 4 days later, I purchased a 2015 civic SI from hendrick of Hickory. What a nightmare!!! We were lied to 3 times by Vince in finance, I requested pin striping and after making and confirming an appointment, no pin striping AND Vince was going to charge me for it?!! There is a lot more but in all honesty, once you pay for the car, you are nothing to them. No worries, Mike Johnson Toyota will do the pin striping for free. Imagine that..better service from a company who really cares. I also have an appointment on Monday at another dealership to show us how to use the functions we paid for. Boo on you Hendrick cars of Hickory!!!

    They are good people to deal with. Look out for you and at least they steer you to a vehicle you will like and actually use/enjoy, not just one they can sell you. fair selection as well. They even got the color I wanted from a dealer an hour away that same very day!

    Our recent purchase at Hendrick Honda was a very pleasant experience all due to the help of Dean. He was totally dedicated to finding a car that would meet all of our needs and budget. He wanted us to be totally satisfied with the quality and performance. He is a great asset to this dealership

    Beyond a Bad Experience!! I drove an hour and a half from Charlotte with price and trade agreement in hand only to be met with the classic squeeze, bait-and-switch tactics. This, after I emptied my entire car, including two children's car seats, and loaded everything into the new car. The sales person I dealt with over the phone guaranteed me that nothing would change once I arrived. Then, the New Car Sales Manager tried to reduce the agreed upon trade-in amount by three thousand dollars at the last minute, claiming that due to gas prices my car (2009 Sequoia) would be too hard to sell. What they don't realize is that it is going to cost them much more than three thousand dollars in lost business after I review and report them to Honda, TrueCar.com, and every other online site I can find. I received this service from New Car Sales Manager, Bryan Messick. Good news is, I returned to Charlotte and received a better deal anyway.

    Jay Brown at Hickory Honda had given me a very positive shopping experience. He was willing to work with me to find the car I wanted and worked with me with my budget. He even gave me a rental car to drive for free until my car was delivered from another dealership. I left very satisfied with my purchase and definetly recommend him for anyone looking to find a car at a greal deal.
