    We spent 8 hours going from car dealer to car dealer over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Our budget was no more then $1500 down and $500 a month (Which we assumed was feasible). Ford, GM and Jeep couldn't put us into any car under $600… and a min of $2500 down and included NO maintenance... We tried one last dealer which was Johnson Hyundai of Cary. Mike Nguyen was our sales person and he was AMAZING!!! He LISTENED to our budget and didn't spend time showing us cars that he can put us into between $600-$800 (Like the other dealers, hoping that we cave). He brought up a 2023 Venue, Denim Blue with a white roof and white accents!! Super cute car, fits everything we need including our nephews military/marine bags! We only needed to put down $1500 and our payment is $498. The best part of this car lease is that the following is includes: *Full tire protection (If anything happens, it is fixed our replaced) *All oil changes and tire rotation for the full term of the lease *Protection plan that covers scratches and dents on exterior. Along with seat tears and rips on interior. *Protection plan also provides us an additional 200 miles at the end of our lease He got it all done in about an hour and we walked out of the dealership with a new car that day! We honestly so happy and if you feel like getting a new car is impossible, contact Mike! Adam

    I've been using Hyundai Service for years and when I totaled my car I went to them to buy, and while initially there was a tiny bit of friction because it was my first time buying and I was unsure of how to navigate that process, it went… over smoothly. Everyone is so polite and professional and kind and dedicated, even a few days later I was having a major problem (not related to them) but with the car and they made me their priority. I felt seen and protected and respected. They have gone above and beyond and exceeded my expectations and I can't want to continue doing business with them. I've been. to most of the Hyundai dealers in the state and it's really no contest. They are the best because they earned it through good customer service and treating people well.

    Over $63,000 financed for 2 less-than reliable new Hyundai Ioniqs (2019 SEL & 2020 Limited) and what appears to be a difficult time at this dealership later, I am driving a 14 year old Mazda from another dealership, further in debt than I… would have been had I not ever bought a Hyundai from them, and would still recommend the dealership and their team to sell me, a friend, or a family member a vehicle from another brand because of the amazing level of service, care, and consideration the dealership had shown me in the time leading up to whatever kind of disaster they're currently working through and I feel that the General Manager Ryan Meagher was sincere in his apology to me after it took over a month for me to receive my prorated refund from the prepaid maintenance and GAP insurance. I tried to stay in the Johnson Automotive family, but it wasn't in the cards as they gave a low trade-in value for the second Hyundai and told me that a used car wouldn't absorb the negative equity. I wasn't expecting to be handed another car on a silver platter with a bow on top, but some deference in the form of customer retention courtesy or some consideration for the issues that BOTH of my brand new Hyundai Ioniqs had been plagued with would have been nice. I even sent links to vehicles on lots of other Johnson Automotive family lots, but no dice. I would buy from them again, but it certainly won't be a Hyundai or related product. The lessons I learned: - There are reasons that Hyundai offers to pay people to test drive their product - There are reasons these vehicles depreciate so quickly - There are reasons we don't see many of these vehicles on the road after 10 years of age - There are reasons they're priced so competitively - Be proactive and assertive when it comes to these matters, as it may have gone differently for me had I gotten the General Manager involved sooner. Heck, I might have gotten a loaner, had my fuel-efficient Hyundai Ioniq with all its bells and whistles repaired, and would be able to give them the 5-star rating I had up to the point of feeling brushed off and left with a car that wouldn't pass inspection and I didn't feel safe driving :(.

The deals are great and we have use the same salesperson every time. I could not say enough good… things about our relationship with this dealer.   • Good overall experience with an awkward moment

    My wife and I purchased a 2020 Kona Ultimate from Johnson Hyundai in Cary, NC, and all of the people that we met at Johnson Hyundai were friendly, courteous, and made us feel comfortable. I first communicated online with one person from… the dealership, but when my wife and I actually went to the dealership, we ended up dealing with a different person, which I thought was a little unusual. However, it was not a problem and the sales process went smoothly. The only thing that my wife and I felt could have been handled differently was something that happened when we had the conversation with the finance person. We were suddenly faced with additional offers of maintenance plans, road hazard plans, GAP insurance, etc. Both of us felt that these options could have been mentioned much earlier in the process, perhaps even as early as when going online to configure a sample car (MINI does this in their car configuring process), so that it would have been less of a pressure situation to make a decision and to have time to look into the different plans and compare the cost of the plans vs. their actual value. In all fairness, the finance person did step out of his office to allow my wife and I to talk in private but it was not enough time for us to make a decision right there, so we asked for a little more time, which we received. Then, after researching the subject of maintenance plans, etc., at home, we came to the conclusion that more often than not these plans are not a good value for the money that is spent, so we opted to not getting them. Our overall experience in the car buying process was positive, except for the awkward timing of the presentation of the maintenance and other plans, which could have been done earlier in the process, for this reason I am giving four out of five stars. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family with the "heads up" that they will be offered maintenance and other plans to add to the financing of the car, at a time that may not be convenient for them. I would advise them to inform themselves about these plans before going to the dealership so that they can avoid a situation where they may feel pressured to make a decision that they otherwise would not make.

    Very nice place very pleasant receptionist and people. work was done changing an oil filter they let me know some additional work in their opinion was needed soon. The price was reasonable for a dealer service. Had coffee and cookies out.… I give them 5 stars.

  • Two hours for an oil change

    I took my 2019 car in for scheduled service and arrived 10 minutes early to the appointment time. Sat there for over two hours for tire rotation and an oil change. I like the dealership, but this is simply not competitive with other… services and is not a good use of my time. Please improve this process to one hour maximum!

    Car has been nothing but problems and recalls. These cars dont hold value and cost consumers lots of back end money. Some of these problems are life threatening and they wont recall those because it's too expensive. Staff has been… friendly but it doesn't make up for the car issues. I'd recommend a more reliable brand for slightly more upfront money like Honda.

    Bought a Hyundai Tucson from Michael Black. He got a price close to what we wanted. Very helpful, educated us on all the features, helped us pair the phone. Entire process took less than 2 hours. Mario in finance explained all available… extras with no pressure. Ask about his CALI life. Manager Frankie made all the numbers work without any hassle. Entire experience was really excellent. Highly ethical, transparent dealership, very clean & modern.

    If I give a lower score I would. This was the worst dealership experiences I have ever had. I first made contact with a salesman in the spring. He has since left the dealership. This should have been a warning to me. But, I thought highly… of the fact that the dealership was still "family-owned" in the era of big corporate dealers. Wow! What a mistake! I drove in from just across the Virginia border, as I spend a great deal of time in the RTP area due to college and business ties on 9/18/17. I was not able to meet with the salesperson I had been in communication with all day. I politely waited in the customer lounge. Then I was introduced to the one of finance managers, and the deal that I had worked out just a few weeks prior was no longer "available." ( On a side note, I presented the gentleman with my business card expecting reciprocity; alas, this courtesy did not happen. ) I then asked for the "cash" price. I was handed off to another salesperson, and she would not let me even touch the vehicle. The time was about 6:40 pm, and I once again requested the cash price for the Sante Fe Limited Ultimate with the full intention of returning the next morning with a cashier's check from my bank. I was told that the price would be emailed to me later that evening. I was then left standing outside. I was speechless. I am a former bank credit executive, so I have interacted with hundreds of automobile dealers across the US, therefore I am seldom this surprised. I went into great personal details even before my arrival to avoid any such surprises. Here I am 3 weeks removed, and I paid cash for another vehicle that was a luxury brand. I am happy to provide Johnson with my proof of purchase to demonstrate my ability to pay which they to have doubted on that day.
