    We are very happy with Friendly honda. We had Rudy guide us through the cars and help us pick the one that was best for us and our family. Had a car within 2 hours and It was very easy and quick experience!! We don't have amazing credit and they where able to find us something to our price limit !! Best dealership we went too!! Thank you for everything Rudy! We are very happy with out purchase.

    My whole experience with Friendly Honda was excellent! They are professional, well-dressed, the whole dealership is clean and neat. Brian G was very respectful of my time and was very knowledgeable about the products Honda offers. I didn't leave feeling pressured and exhausted as has been my experience with other dealerships.     I have bought all Honda’s from Friendly Honda. I recently bought a 2013 Fit which is a great car, but the manual transmission took it’s toll on my knee due to the amount of driving I do for work. I contacted Ron A. and he found me a great used 2011 Civic and Colin O. was the used car professional who handled all the financing. I am not ashamed to say my wife and I are in the process of using a debt consolidation company to relive our debts. We had a stellar credit rating, but now due to the consolidation it of course has dropped. Colin went as far as I am concerned beyond the call of duty to get this new loan approved for me. Ron as well went above to make me a great deal and find me the right car without compromising safety or quality. Both of these gentlemen exemplify Friendly Honda and stand as a true example of professionalism and going the extra mile to take care of you and get you on the road. Thank you

    What a delightful experience this septuagenarian and his wife had last week at Friendly Honda in Poughkeepsie, NY. Chaz G. treated us with kindness and respect and he also has a great sense of humor. We got a better price than 4 other dealerships offered and we love our 2014 CR-V EX-L. Thanks to Chad's coaching, all the buttons make sense. I sometimes back up in places just to see that great rearview camera system work. We have found new friends and Friendly and have signed up for long term 'gas and go' service as well. A comforting feeling having friends in the car dealership and service business.

    I had a wonderful experience when i went to friendly Honda to purchase a vehicle. The sales team was very professional and i got all the help that i needed and more. I would like to thank especially Mr Papa M for a very commendable job. I did not feel pressurized to purchase a vehicle rather i was given choices and room to make a decision and he also made me feel that i was getting a car worthwhile my money.

    Just purchased a Honda CRV-EXL w. Nav. I really love it! Much improved over the 2011 version that I upgraded from. Bruce H. , the sales person was excellent. Attentive, courteous and helpful. All the support staff were great. I would recommend this place to anyone!

    I purchased a Volkswagon from them about a year and 1/2 ago. I was very happy with the service then. In feb of this year my window fell into my car so I brought it back to this dealership where I purchased it, since it was under a warranty. They fixed the issue and everything went along swimmingly. Then a couple days ago the window fell yet again into the window so I figured let me bring it back to the dealership I purchased it at. This was the wrong thing to do. I was no longer under warranty and they told me it was a bad regulator. I later found out it was going to be 350 after taxes to fix. Upon finding out I got rather angry because they knew about this issue with the car back in February but yet they didn't fix it until it was no longer under warranty. My fiancee was then told that in February it wasn't faulty, and the guy who worked on it came from a volks dealership and knew about this issue. So if they knew about the issue why not fix it for us when they saw the first signs of it not working? So now I am stuck paying for something they could of easily fixed for me. Plus on top of it I waited 2 and 1/2 days for our car back and never recieved a loner car. I told them when I brought the car in, I needed it by Friday and yet they never called on Friday to let me know anything about it. I am so unhappy with this company and will never ever go back to this dealership, or service center again. If you have a problem under warranty then make sure it gets fixed then and there. Or you will deal with paying for it yourself when you are no longer under warranty!! BUYER BEWARE

    Let me first say I am giving the ratings above due to my experience with the Sales team, NOT the Service team. I have been servicing my 2003 Honda Accord Coupe for over 10 years at Friendly Honda. There are quite a few other Honda dealerships closer to my home & work, however, I continue to drive out of my way to Friendly Honda in Poughkeepsie because I have always found the Service staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I always felt that they put my needs first when my car was being serviced with them. Because of this I was really hoping that I would be able to purchase a new 2013 Honda Accord Sport with Friendly Honda and continue to service my car there. I initially submitted a request for an online price quote from Kelly Blue Book. No response. I finally sent a request in directly through the Friendly Honda website. I received an email price quote from Daniel S. which was somewhere in between the MSRP and the dealer invoice. That was fine, except that I had already received another quote below dealer invoice from another Honda dealership nearby. I exchanged several emails with Dan which resulted in a slightly lower price, and also resulted in several sales agents calling me over the phone (I had requested to communicate via email). I work full time during the week, and it is not convenient for me to discuss or negotiate car deals over the phone while I am at work. I explicitly told this to Dan and let him know that email would be the best way to reach me. I asked him also to work with the other sales managers to come back to me with their best / final price quote. Instead of doing what I had asked, Dan responded to my email by insisting that the other quote I received must not have been for the correct model that I was looking for, that the price could not possibly be that low. And that I needed to call one of the Friendly sales managers so that we could compare the specs. I found his response insulting; I had done plenty of research on the car I was looking for, and clarified all the specifications with the dealership that offered me the very low price. Ultimately I did not purchase the car from Friendly Honda. When I let Dan know about this, his response was to put blame on me because he had sent several emails and asked me to call him to speak with him. REALLY?!?! 1) Though he responded to my emails, he did not answer my questions or care enough to follow through with what I asked him to do. 2) I specifically told him I could not speak over the phone while at work and to communicate with me through email instead.
    • Thank you very much for taking the time to share your shopping experience with me. Friendly Honda has been in business for over 40 years and has worked very hard to make the customer feel they are getting the respect and value they deserve. I am excited to see that service has succeeded in doing that. In reviewing your shopping experience, I agree that a customer’s request should always be honored when possible. Your preference of e-mail versus telephone should have certainly been noted, and I apologize that was not the case. Internet shopping has certainly changed the retail market worldwide. In many ways it has simplified the purchase process, but often it creates confusion. Pricing is always a sensitive issue since it is not as clear cut as one would imagine. As a general rule of thumb, when we can talk to a client and have them come into the dealership, the process seems to be more complete and fulfilling. Dealers will try to advertise low internet prices that will not include certain fees, or for example, they will quote prices for a 2wd instead of a 4wd. Advertising the lowest price should not be the goal but advertising an accurate one is! Friendly Honda’s intention was never to have you feel insulted. It is a very common occurrence to have options, models, taxes, DMV fees or vehicle availability change the selling price and Friendly wanted to be accurate in a price quote. I am disappointed that we did not present strong enough to have you purchase your car here. I will review this with Dan and his manager to prevent this from happening again.     Our sales experience at Friendly Honda was Great. The salesperson Anthony was friendly and knowledgeable but not pushy. He gave us time to decide what we wanted and was helpful with any questions that we had.

    Purchased a new 2012 Black Honda CRV on November 20, 2012 from Friendly Honda. (This is my 4th Honda CRV. I have purchased a total of 7 vehicles from Friendly Honda). The Sales person for this most recent purchase was Laura Sterling. She was extremely friendly, personable, professional and knowledgeable. I am extremely happy with my CRV and the staff at Friendly Honda.

    I went into Friendly Honda prepared with a price in mind and was very Happy with how friendly and accomodating the salesman was. Papa was a pleasure to deal with and he not only matched the price I had but gave me some added bonuses.

    We had heard that Friendly Honda is a great place to do business, and we found that out for ourselves last week. The salesman, Justin, helped us compare vehicles and find just what we wanted at a reasonable price. We leased a brand new CRV and we love it! Our old van died that day in our driveway and Justin told us who to contact to have it towed.....for free, plus we were paid for the parts and scrap metal. Our new car was ready for us the very next day! We were impressed that it came with a full tank of gas, too!

    Friendly Honda in Poughkeepsie has a reputation for being the best and this being my third time dealing with them, I have to strongly agree. Every single aspect and person involved in the process from the moment you walk in is exceptional. The facility is beautiful, comfortable, inviting, and clean. This is the second time I've dealt with salesman Andrew P. and Brian from finance. They are top-notch and the best at what they do. They treat me like a family friend and have never failed to deliver exactly what I'm looking for. Although I've always been a Honda customer I have no reason to be biased in saying that Friendly is superior in every aspect of the car buying experience, but they are nothing less than outstanding. Thank you Andrew, Brian, and the rest of the Friendly Honda family. A very happy customer for life-Lucius Wood III

    Just want to let you know it was a pleasure buying my new 2013 Honda Accord LX from Chaz G. He was informative and very detail oriented. Before I left that day he showed my husband and I everything we needed to know about the whole dashboard, the bluetooth,seats, just everything. I would definitely recommend Friendly Honda for this reason. Thanks!!

    My experience with Friendly Honda was absolutely horrible. I am a small business owner and was looking to purchase a vehicle that was more fuel efficient. I went to Friendly Honda as my family and I have purchased numerous vehicles from them in the past. Below is a copy of the letter I sent to both the owner of Friendly Honda and Honda Headquarters. February 25, 2013 Eric K., Dealer Principal 1143 Dutchess Turnpike Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 Dear Mr. K., I went to Friendly Honda on Thursday the 21st looking to purchase a vehicle that was more fuel efficient. I met with Shane T. who was assigned as my salesman. I told him I almost didn’t go to Friendly Honda because I had a problem with one of the employees. Shane asked who and I told him Russ T. After discussing my options we scheduled an appointment for me to return the next day. The initial meeting on Thursday went great. I returned Friday and brought my office manager along to assist with the paperwork. I left -------- and Shane to fill in the minute details on the paperwork while I got up and looked around the showroom. I wanted to get a visual of my interior and exterior color options. After Shane showed me additional color options we sat back down to finish filling out the paperwork. We completed the paperwork and as we got up to leave Shane said “If you are ever looking for something else, let me know.” ---------- replied “No, Thanks, you don’t have the type of truck we are looking for.” After discussing the Honda Ridgeline we decided it did not suit our needs and started to heads towards the door. As we were walking out the door, Shane made the comment “No, seriously, I meant I was talking about you were working here.” I asked ---------- if he just said what I really thought he said, which he had. ---------- and I got in my truck and I asked her what happened. She told me while they were filling out paperwork Shane asked her if she was controlling. When she responded “Yes, I like to make sure everything is handled properly.” He replied “Really? We need someone here that has a controlling personality and can handle doing her job. The person we have now up front is horrible. I’ll hire you to work here.” ---------- responded “No, Thank You, I already work full time, and besides, I am happy with Alan.” Shane continued the conversation by saying “I didn’t mean another job, I meant instead of working for Alan.” ---------- again responded “No, thanks.” After relaying that conversation to me, she also told me another conversation Shane initiated and that both conversations made her uncomfortable and put her in a very awkward position. After asking her to work for Friendly Honda, Shane asked if I am easy to get along with. Shane then told ---------- a story that was made up and told to him by Russ. “I was “razzing” another guy and the guy didn’t like what I said so the guy went to the owner of the health club. The owner called Russ, who identified himself to Shane as the manager of the health club (he was only another member, not a manager) and Russ told the owner I “spazzed” out on the guy, basically went nuts on him. What Russ told the owner got Alan kicked out of the health club.” The story that Russ made up and told Shane was completely false and had nothing to do with me purchasing a car at Friendly Honda and the conversation between Shane and Russ should have never happened. What they did was considered gossip and it was highly unprofessional not only for Russ to tell this to Shane, but for Shane to relay this to my employee. Once again, this made her uncomfortable to have the salesman gossiping about her boss. I expected more professional service and was truly shocked and appalled at Shane’s and Russ’s behavior. I immediately returned inside and asked the front desk personnel to speak to a manager and was informed there was not one there at the time. I was however, directed to Jim L., the finance manager. I explained the situation to him but I feel nothing was really resolved and given the attention it deserves. The entire experience was a complete turn off and it made me have doubts about the type of customer service I would receive in the future. This has caused a major disruption in my business and has been quite an unnerving experience. This experience with Shane has left my business manager uncomfortable and hesitant to deal with your company in the future. Shane and Russ not only attacked me and my business but they outright disrespected my office manager as well. I hope you understand the full impact of this situation, business owner to business owner. I did not realize my reputation was going to be tarnished beyond belief and I have not been able to sleep nights re-creating the situation that took place. I did not know my employee was going to get solicited at a car dealership and if I had known in advance I would have rethought my options as to which dealership I was going to purchase from. I work hard to keep my employees and customers happy. Sincerely, ------------------- The name of my office manager has been blanked out for anonymity purposes. Do NOT bring your employees here as they will try to steal them from you!!! After writing this letter to the owner, he does not follow up on instances like these nor does his assistant seem to take these situations seriously. I will NOT be going back to Friendly Honda!!!

    I was disappointed again by the surprise of the cost when I came in to pick up my car. I was using a $20 oil change coupon and asked that the engine lights be checked. It wasn't really a check engine light that was on but a tire pressure light, so I was told. They added air to my new this season snow tires and charged me $65 for the check engine light diag. labor. I had a note to call before any additional charges were put on and although they called to see if I wanted to do my $600 D-service and I said no not now (we don't have the $$ for that right now) I still walked in and had a $92 bill, not the $20 I expected. Not the first time I have been disappointed by the upsell and at the cost of the services. I really think that $65 dollars to add air to tires to turn off a light on my dash board is very high. I think this is my last time to use this dealership for services. After owning a Honda for over 14 years and this being the local dealership I am sorry to say I am no longer confident that they are a good deal. this has not been the first time I have been disappointed in the pricing for the type of service that needs to be done. There are many good car techs in the area so I will stop using this dealership for service.
    • Hello, I'm sorry that you don't feel that our Service department met your expectations on your latest visit. Perhaps it was not clearly explained to you prior to your service, and so I want to clarify that the charge for diagnostics was not simply to turn off the "check engine" light, but to hook your vehicle up to our advanced software that aids us in determining why that light was on in the first place, and run the advanced diagnostics on your vehicle. I would like to encourage you to call our Service Manager Veronica at 845-454-2400 ext. 145 so that she can discuss this with you further.
