Beware of pre owned department
by Carlady717 on 12/13/2016My experience is with the pre-owned department and been very disappointing and frustrating. I purchased the vehicle via the Internet and the sales rep assured me the leather was in "perfect condition ". He also said the car went through the… service department and was up to date on everything. Receive the car and the back seat is stained! Immediately try to reach out to manager Barry about this 7 times and never had a returned voicemail or email. All I was sent was a cheap leather repair kit that did not fix the problem. Then took my Acura to my local Acura dealership because the A23 light was on and find out it needed new oil, new filters and had a near dead battery- again no response when reaching out about this either from my sales person or Barry "The manager". The worst part has been my title. Sales rep said the title would be overnighted to me with my temp plates- it was not- he assured me it was just sent to my financing company. Called my financing company 3 weeks later and no title has been sent to them. I turned in my promissory note to the dealership over 2 weeks ago because they stated this is why the delay and now my temps are expired and still no word on my title from them- of course I have called Andre and Barry numerous times and neither returns my calls to update me on this either. I will be reporting this dealership to BBB and Consumer Affairs in Ny after talking to them . I hope this saves someone a lot of wasted time- buy pre owned elsewhere, management and sales is not good.Hello Ms. Kasprzyk, I am saddened to learn of your frustrations, as we take customer satisfaction very seriously. NEW STANDARDS AT BAY RIDGE FOR L/CERTIFIED CARS
by barb7270 on 07/01/2016updated 07/06/2016Bay Ridge Lexus has their own set of standards to L/certify a car which falls far below the Lexus Corporation specifications. Dents and scratches, even affecting paint, are perfectly acceptable to Bay Ridge. The salesperson, Abe, reminded… me several times that it was a used car and their inspection does not include the vehicles exterior. He claims to work at the dealership for 2 years. Is he being fallacious or has he not had the chance to read the L/Certified checklist, yet. After leaving in disgust, I called the GM, Eugene, the next day and he had the 3 inch circular dent in the hood removed. However, he claimed he has no money in the car to repair the paint on the hood or bumper. Really? Then why is this car certified? Dealers like this damage the reputation of Lexus. Lexus Corporation needs to take a more active role in monitoring their dealers or their lax attitude will eventually catch up to them. Such that the L/certification program becomes meaningless.Hi Mrs. Kirby, I am sorry that we disappointed you and we were not able to do business. The Standard of our Certification is the same as Lexus Corporate. I know you spent time and money coming here, I would like to reimburse you for your gas and tolls for your trip here and home, please just send me your receipts to Eugene.Woods@BayRidgelexus.com. I am also sorry that I did not call you as I said I would yesterday but planned on calling you this afternoon. At this point I feel that we have come up short and you have determined that we are not the Dealer that you would be comfortable doing business with. I understand. Best Purchase I ever made

The place were very nice, and the prices were hard to beat, At first I had wanted to go with another brand like a Prius. But I wanted to give LEXUS a shot and the salesmen were so convincing me… why I should buy the new IS instead. We went in and met with Sky Liang and he was very helpful, again, and we went over the lease deals, and started talking numbers. After a lot of negotiating (almost 4 hours), I was the best deal ever since I considering that I am still in school and working part-time I was able to afford to drive a LEXUS which is insane. I were happy with the final selling prices, the monthly payments, and the trade-in values we were given. Sky had helped me so much and deserves a big raise and a promotion! He is a wonderful representative for LEXUS, and we really hope they recognizes him for that.best experience possible

I had found the car online through Edmunds car buying service and arrived with financing in place. Very quickly after arriving I was off on a test drive.… She asked all questions I had about the car and was very knowledgeable about my options. Once I decided I wanted the car, She discussed the interest rate I'd already received with the manager, who was able to secure me financing at an even better rate. I have very little car buying experience and have heard many horror stories, but working with Bay Ridge Lexus was a wonderful experience and definitely made me a lot more comfortable with the whole process. Great Sales Experience

After I gave my information, Ahmed called me 3 minutes later. He promised me that there would be no hidden fees and I would… get the price that was listed. The next day I drive out with my new RX. A waste of my time and gas
by audiboy718 on 08/07/2015I had a negative experence from the time i entered the dealer ship. (Bay ridge Lexus) First of all the car i came to see was a 2013 Lexus LS460 L, stock # BX12676. The car had a lot of scratches all over it especially the doors and trunk.… the car had zip ties over around the front right wheel well. I also notice the left rear quarter panel had a lot of body work done on it. The front grill is cracked and damaged. I went to the dealership planning on trading my 2011 Audi A8L for it. The dealership did not honor the emunds trade in value at all. My car is in immaculate condition. from the time i walked in nobody came over to help me. I had to walk up to the front desk and say I'm here to purchase one of your vehicles. A salesman helped me and wasn't helpful at all. The manager offered me $8000 less then what emunds valued my car at. As i got up to walk away he offered me an extra $1000. They would not come down 1 penny off the damaged LS 460L that was for sale. I had the worst experience of all car dealerships i have been to. I called out from work and took a 40 minute drive to Bayridge Brooklyn and wasted my time and gas for nothing at all. i wouldn't even have took the time to right this if my experience was a bit better. i wouldn't recommend Bayridge lexus to anyone. the bad part about it is my cousin brought a LS460 from there in 2012 and he told me to go there. it was not what i expected at all.Good morning, I am saddened to learn that you are upset with your dealership experience and I would like to make any corrections for you. Not once did I feel pressured to buy, and the salesman I dealt with was extremely kind and answered all of my questions without… rushing me along. I've never had such an easy, smooth experience while buying a car, as I did at Bay Ridge Lexus! I even met with the General Manager, Eugene Woods, and he made me feel even more at home. I would definitely recommend this dealership to everyone, and I definitely will send my friends and family there when they are buying a car. I will be a customer for life!Advertisement Matching!

As a long time owner of 1994 LS400 when the time came to buy a new car I did not think twice . I knew it will be a Lexus, and definitely a new… one. I narrowed my choice to a ES350 and arrived to the nearest dealership in BAY RIDGE, BROOKLYN. On 10/21/2010 I took a delivery of a new car . Little that I know!!! In a few weeks I started noticing paint piling of in multiple places on left side of the car. when I brought it to the attention of the dealership when I came for a 1000 miles service I was told that this is a result of stones chipping of the paint and nothing can be done about it. i visited the dealership a few more times and was told by the service manager that the paint problems are due to the fact that my car has been repainted and probably this is done by a parking attendant who damaged my car and tried to cover it up. After I replied that I park myself did not repaint anything and my 1994 LS400 did not had any paint problems after so many years he went to his office. He came back in few minutes and declared that its possible THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED PRIOR TO THE SALE. WHAT? A CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED PRIOR TO THE SALE ? AND YOU SOLD IT TO ME AS NEW? i Hes replay was : WE DID NOT KNOW THAT . I went home signed on to LEXUS.COM and sure there is an entry stating the car was damaged on 08/24/2010 two month prior to the sale. A repainted car was sold as NEW !!!!!!
