Recall service

A few hours later I received a message that I could expect my vehicle shortly. Sure enough,… 15 minutes later it was in my driveway. Recall issue resolved. My Mustang Mach E broke down
by DT on 01/19/2025My 2021 Mustang Mach E with just 34k miles broke down and had to be towed to All American Ford Hackensack. From day one till I picked up the car after 6 days, I was told by the service advisor Ashley M that the 12 volt battery was the… cause of the break down. I was very skeptic about this because the car did not give me any warning and after reading forums I had a very good idea why a car, even it was serviced by a Ford dealership every 10k miles would suddenly become undrivable. Prior to picking up the car it came about that a known defect of the car, the HVBJB (google it) was the culprit why the car broke down. This was NEVER EVER shared to me by the Service Advisor until I read the invoice. If an HVBJB doesn’t work, among its other functions, it will not let the car charge the 12 volt battery. (Think of it as a defective alternator which would eventually kill the car’s 12 volt battery.) They charged me more than $650 for the battery replacement because they claimed that it was not covered by the 36 month bumper to bumper warranty and the premiere extended warranty that I had, and more importantly even if the HVBJB defect destroyed my 12volt battery! I asked for some consideration and assistance from the Service Manager Elizabeth T and Ford Corporate Tina H, but they both denied me. And both seemed to understand that the HVBJB was the reason for the breakdown, but they probably just did not care. If you have your car serviced for a known defect, a loaner or rental should also be provided. The dealer did not have any available loaners. As of this writing I am just waiting for my car rental receipt and I am hopeful to be reimbursed. So let’s see.It's disappointing to hear about your communication issues and overall experience during your service visit. Pathetic

Didn't confirm the scan tool reading given to them and said it was my transmission and only 1 person who works on them and he can't look at my car for 1 to 2 weeks. When asked for a… loaner, I was told that they gave up their loaner fleet. Once he looks at it and parts are needed it could take 1 to 3 weeks more. So you don't check the information given and want to keep my car for almost a month with no loaner.I apologize for the inconvenience and frustration you've experienced. Rude and unprofessional

Bad service
by A on 05/11/2023Tatiana didn't call me giving me updated status of my car. I had to call Hackensack Ford for status. After no word for 5 hrs. Then to only hear car wont be ready for 2 days. Didn't offer a courtesy car.This experience you described is certainly concerning as we hold our team to a high standard of communication and professionalism. Disappointed
by George Cormane on 03/17/2023Took my 2022 F150 truck there for a recall and a fault message last week. After they promised they would have it ready in a couple of hours they called stating it wouldnt be ready and they had to keep it overnight. After finally waiting 8… hours my car was “ready”. Had to take an UBER to the dealership since they “could not give me a loaner if I didn’t buy yhe car there” and picked it up. Car was dirtier than when I gave it to them and the problem came back after driving it for 30 minutes. Horrible experience!George, we are disappointed to read this review and feedback for us. Fraud Dealership

On Feb 25 2015 they sold us a Certified Pre Owned 2014 Ford expedition that they brought over from their sister dealership All American Ford of Paramus. Our salesman was Steve Martino, we walked out the… dealership with peace of mind that the car was a CPO and had powertrain warranty till 100K miles if anything major was to go wrong, boy were we wrong. A week a half ago with 83k miles on the car the engine started making a knocking noise, we took it to a ford dealer in south jersey who told us that the car needs a new engine and we would need to pay for it as there was no Certified Pre Owned warranty on the car. We were dumbfounded and called Ford North America who told us that the CPO warranty was cancelled by the dealership after the car was sold to us and there was no longer any CPO warranty on the car. They advised us to take the car to the selling dealer. We took the car to All American Ford asking for answers as we had the paperwork showing the car was CPO when they sold it to us. After keeping the car for a week and Steve called me to tell us since we had livery plates on the car the CPO has been cancelled, we called Ford North America again and were told by John the Certified Pre Owned Manager at Ford North America that livery plates do not effect the Certified Pre Owned status of the car and his records show the CPO warranty cancelled by All American Ford after it was sold to us. I called Steve back with the information given to me by Ford North America who backtracked on his previous statement and transferred me to Joe Fischer the General Manager. Mr Fischer was very hostile on the phone and kept asking for oil change receipts from a ford dealership, when I asked him a simple question if my car was CPO he refused to answer me and after getting loud at me hung up the phone on me telling me I can do whatever i want as there is no proof that the car was sold as CPO, whereas there actually is. A couple of hours later Mr Allen from the service department called me and told me the car was not CPO and he could offer me a discounted price of 8 thousand dollars to install a new engine. The is pathetic from a dealer that claims to be one of the biggest ford dealers in north new jersey. Not only did they commit a fraud by selling a non CPO car to us as a CPO but are refusing to take responsibility and to rub salt on our wounds asking for another 8 thousand dollars to fix the car which should already have been in warranty. Needless to say we have all the proof and paperwork and we will be taking this up with our lawyer, the department of consumer affairs, Ford North America and better business bureau as nobody deserves to be cheated like these by dealers like All American Ford. Buyers be extremely beware!!Thank you for sharing your past experience and bringing this to our immediate attention.
