  • Don't let them rip you off

2 out of 5 starsby bodegabey on 01/29/2020

I visited Lynnes Hyundai to buy a Tucson by financing. Although I told them in the beginning to not waste time by offering a high price and start talking on a reasonable price, they first offered me $428 monthly installments for 72 months after my down payment. This price was so inflated that even only installment totals were much above MSRP, without adding my down payment. Of course I reacted to this price and they came up with $327 monthly installments for 72 months, which makes almost $7,500 price difference. I suggest you to not trust them or at least negotiate very hard since there is a huge profit margin.
  • Thumbs Up! Lynnes Hyandai.

    5 out of 5 starsby Margaret N on 01/04/2020

I was impressed with my experience at Lynnes Hyandai in Bloomfield, NJ. Albert Chumenti, has unbelievable social skills, listens to your needs and works with you to make sure you are 100% satisfied. Albert has a lot of knowledge about the Kona and was able to answer all of my questions while explaining everything in great detail. For the first time in my life, I can honestly say I didn't feel any pressure while doing this deal. Albert and the Lynnes Hyandai team are professional, friendly, approachable, sincere and genuine. I would definitely recommend!
  • New Car Purchase after lease

5 out of 5 starsby NicoleP on 02/23/2018

Domenick was helpful, no high pressure sales. I came in looking to either buy my lease or a brand new hybrid. We test drove two hybrid cars and I ended up purchasing the second I drove. I was was emotional about selecting the new car. Domenick was very kind and gave me time to "say goodbye". It meant a lot that he walked me through the steps and asked what would take to make me feel good about my purchase. If that meant keeping my lease then he would work with that. We went over all the pricing and various options so I could get the most for my money.
  • Good Lease Experience

5 out of 5 starsby Geranimo on 02/22/2018

We leased a new Elantra over Presidents’ Day and had a great overall experience. Jose was attentive and patient with us, answering our questions and staying focused on the vehicle we had in mind. We were quoted a price that was fair based on our research so no complaints at all!

My 4th Hyundai bought through Joe Cassese and each experience is better than the previous. Everyone involved in the process had been helpful, thorough and professional. Many thanks GJB
  • horrible experience

'I am right here with the email of registration of gift card for a test drive, however, they told me they cannot process it because I do not have a paper based print out. I have the code in my email and I know they all have printers so I ask if I can forward the email to them and have it printed for me. But this request is also turn down for some excuse of security. Don't they receive and send emails everyday. Really disappointed with my experience here and the whole dealership has no sense of service. It is really an disappointing place and I will never suggest here for anyone interested in Hyundai: maybe you can have better luck other place. And two interesting things: 1.I wanted to test drive a 2018 sonata, but was told they Ned to get one from some place 3 miles away. The reason is that their lot is still full of 17 models so no place for the 18 model 2. Their open hour is until 7 pm, but at the time I was about to leave around 630pm, they already about to close the door and I can tell there is no customer around.
  • Worst Service at Lynnes One Star is generous

    1 out of 5 starsby kareng323 on 01/20/2017

By the way, the non-Hybrid certified mechanic at Towne Hyundai found the front axle nut to be loose. I guess Luis does not know what he is doing. Tell him McDonald's is hiring - maybe he can managed not to mess up the french fries. Your Smug Service Manager, Luis, with the short dark hair should go to Customer Service Training and tell him he is not a Hybrid Certified Mechanic either so he can possibly help anyone there. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone ever in my life as I was by Luis. Service Invoice HYCD810927 Thank you Towne Hyundai for fixing what Lynnes could not.
  • scam alert! Buyer beware!

    1 out of 5 starsby dplevy81 on 04/30/2016

Went there in search of a used car for my girlfriend. They play all the stereotypical shady car dealership games. They advertise a low price, then make you wait for hours to sign the papers after you make a deal. By the time you get into the sales office you're excited and just want to leave in your new car. this is where they sneak hidden fees and extra payments into the paperwork without telling you. If you point this out, they will become combative and ask you to leave. We walked right out of there. On a side note, while we were negotiating, the police were called because a service rep allegedly punched a customer. I have a feeling most of the positive reviews were written by the sales team. Buyer beware!
  • Wished I went there sooner

I live 2 traffic lights from another Hyundai dealer, but drove an hour to Lynnes.(after a very bad experience) Dominick, and Chris were beyond helpful and honest. As stressful as car buying is, they made it a lot less stressful. I wish I went there sooner. I highly recommend them for a new car.

  • Fantastic dealership

5 out of 5 starsby genehtc on 02/28/2016

Lynn's was the second dealership I visited to obtain more information about the President day specials they had on their website. Before I express how great this dealership is, be sure to read my scathing review on the worst dealership I have ever been to which is Wayne Hyundai. My old 2004 Hyundai died on Thursday and needed to get car before the weekend was up. The old car was a hand me down after my father in law passed away. In any normal case Hyundai wouldn't be my first choice of car to lease. But in memory of my father and he being a life long Hyundai owner I decided to go to Lynn's and see what kind of deal I could get. I didn't need to get anything fancy, I just need a second car to get us around local. On their website they had a special deal for an Elantra for $69 a month with $2,800 down and about $1,400 in tax title, licensing etc. Base model, again nothing fancy. When I arrived I was met by LT. I sat at his desk and first told him about the terrible experience I had at Wayne Hyundai the night before. I then said the same thing to LT that I tried asking the salesman in Wayne. "I saw the special on your website, could you explain to me the deal and show me the car. I also explained that I preferred not to put any money down and that my credit was top tier. LT was fantastic. He told me I qualified for $500 that i could use towards Title fee's because I already own a Hyundai. Lt was very knowledgeable and never made me feel that I was crazy for asking for such a deal. He brought out AL the finance guy and we talked about the numbers. My goal was to leave with a car for under $200 a month lease. I figured that was a good deal with rolling the down payments into the $69 per month. If you figure that for every $1,000 you want to not put down on a 36 month lease you would pay roughly around $30 bux a month. I was able to get the car for $194 a month. I suggest anyone looking to be treated properly when looking for a car weather your credit is great or it's not, go see LT and AL at Lynn's. Very very nice guys. I walked in at 7:15 and walked out with a car at 9:45. Thanks LT
  • Awesome service

I just recently leased a 2016 Sonata and I couldn't be any happier with my car. This is the third time leasing a car from Lynne's and I am always pleased with their service. Their staff are very professional, polite and work with you to get the exact vehicle you desire. I highly recommend to anyone looking to buy or lease a new car.
  • Amazing sales experience

    5 out of 5 starsby jpulla918 on 02/23/2016

Just recently purchased an Elantra at Lynnes Hyundai and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The level of expertise and customer satisfaction provided by Mr. Jose Rios was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable and was more than willing to answer all of my questions. I left the dealership confident that I had made the right purchase. I'll be sure to recommend him to any friends and family who are interested in purchasing a car.
  • New vehicle purchase

5 out of 5 starsby notsouth on 02/23/2016

Stopped into Lynnes Hyundai today to see about purchasing a new Tucson.I spoke with the sales rep Jose Maldonado,.explained to him what I was looking for.Jose was able to look up a list of vehicles. We checked out several different styles of the Tucson.Jose was pleasant to speak with.He took his time explain the different options and had a lot of patience. We went out of a test drive then came back to the dealership.I have to say the negotiations were not difficult. They were straight forward with the pricing with no hard sales push.I would highly recommend Lynnes Hyundai and the sales rep Jose Maldonado.
  • very satisfied!

    5 out of 5 starsby mirk13 on 04/30/2015

I walked in with a pre-negotiated price from Truecar.com for a Sonata Hybrid 2015, which was $8k below MSRP with the incentives added in. Once I clicked submit on the website, I literally recieved a call 20 seconds later. I also went in with a pre-approved loan from my credit union. This dealership also gave me more for my trade-in of a Honda Crosstown than any Honda dealer was offering. I left with my new car a few hours later, and VERY happy with the sales person that took care of me. If you go in, ask for Luis Gonzalez. He was great with me, and I highly recommend dealing with him.
  • avoid this place at all costs. super shady sales team!!!!

    1 out of 5 starsby dplevy81 on 03/16/2015

this was the worst experience ive ever had at a dealer. they advertise low prices to lure you in, and then get their money back by slamming you with thousands of dollars in hidden fees when you sign the paperwork. they are the stereotypical shady used car lot with the "what can we do to sell you this car" type of predatory salesman that will lie to you about everything from your car being "certified" to the interest rate you will be getting... i ended up walking right out of there without the car and will NOT be returning. everyone reading this review, don't even waste your time. they are not looking to make a fair deal, they are looking for suckers to take advantage of. this place is a scam. wish i could leave less than one star.
  • February 2015 Used Car Purchase

4 out of 5 starsby TheBaran on 03/05/2015

Bought a used Prius at Lynnes end of month February 2015. Overall the experience was positive. Went through the typical transaction steps; price negotiation, financing, filling out applications, etc. Salesman was very helpful in helping to arranging temporary insurance and in transferring plates from my old car. Felt I got a good deal as the Prius was loaded with various options, but was somewhat desperate as the car was for my daughter, who was driving a 2002 Chevy Malibu, the engine of which had blown due apparently to some design defect with the air intake manifold. Only real complaint with Lynnes was the lack of parking, especially handicap parking as I was recovering from hip replacement surgery and I am battling cancer and dealing with chemo side-effects. Regardless, the staff went out of their way to retrieve my car when it was time to go home and to make sure I was safe and comfortable during the buying process (I was using a walker at the time). Only other complaint was how rushed the transaction was. I planned to put down more of a deposit to lessen the monthly payments of the loan. Not having the funds accumulated just yet, I put down a nominal deposit and financed the rest. I probably should have been more prepared and have the funds ready when I went to the dealer, however, being confined to a walker makes routine tasks like going to the bank difficult. Location of Lynnes just off the Garden State Parkway is a plus making it very was to get to and from. Other plus for me is that NJ Transit bus service runs from very near my house to a stop right by the dealership. If the car needs service this could be a plus. So overall...Positives = friendly, helpful staff; good location; good deal on the used car. Negatives = Limited parking, no handicap parking, transaction a bit rushed.
  • Do not keep their commitments tires for life

    1 out of 5 starsby zepplin76 on 10/07/2014

I purchased my car in 2009 with tires for life promotion. As per promotions rules, I was suppose to do all my car services with them. I drive 60 miles each way to get all my services done with them to comply with this promotion. Now my car needs new set of tires and every time I visit service station, I am told no need to change tires right now . However, when I go to costco and any other tire shops . All these shops recommend to get new sets of tires. I am not sure why lynnes hyundai is delaying my tire change . Not happy with this kind of service.
  • The worst experience!

1 out of 5 starsby joeferriero on 08/12/2014

I have had the WORST experience ever with this place! Let me say that I have owned (financed) 7 new cars in my life. Yes, 7 and I'm only in my mid 30's. I like to trade in cars often. I traded in my Jeep to Lynnes for a Hyundai Santa Fe in May. I've had nothing but problems with the car. Every time I drive on the highway it goes into LIMP mode and stops working. Now that corporate is involved it seems to finally be getting fixed. My other HUGE problem is that they STILL haven't paid off my old car. It's been 3 months! I get calls everyday from the finance company and now my account is delinquent on my credit report! Every time I call Lynnes they tell me that someone will get back to me by the end of the day. No one ever calls, so I call the following day and get the same message. I can't tell you how bad this experience has been. Having said that, my sales person was great, but none of this seems to be in his control.
  • Look Elsewhere

3 out of 5 starsby pbto on 09/20/2010

Purchased an '08 Legacy. They messed up this deal from start to finish. Messed up paperwork causing my 1st payment to be late. Salesman Dave Freedman delivered this car to me with a handshake and then walked away. Cars tires were all low on air and one was visibly low to the eye. Brake light was also out. Sales mgr. Al Albik said it must have happened on the trip from dealer to my house. Was told and oil change was done as part of vehicle prep. Upon requesting vehicle records I found an oil change had been done 7 months earlier when they 1st brought the car in. Have the car a month and have been to service 4 times. 1 extra time because they "forgot" to order something that they had told me was already in. Techs performed work well and serv. rep. Robert Stephens is a bright spot in this dark cloud called Lynnes. Was promised a manual, spare key and oil change. Haven't seen any of it yet. You can buy a vehicle at Lynnes or have a dentist drill all your teeth without pain killers. About the same experience.
  • Got a great initial quote, only to be baited and switched..

    1 out of 5 starsby robmm1978 on 08/28/2010

I submitted several requests for quotes on a 2010 Santa Fe. Lynnes Hyundai provided me with the lowest quote of about 10 dealers, so naturally, I was eager to follow up. I spoke with Jim and he seemed like an honest enough guy. I did find out that Lynnes does NOT include the destination fee in their quotes - something most Hyundai dealers do- but even with the $800 added on, their quote was still competitive. As a result, I emailed Jim, asking him to come down about $500 and he would have my business. He replied back that he'd be giving me a call. A few hours later, Jim called and said that he'd match whatever best offer I had received.. excited (and naive) I thanked him and told him I'd be buying my car from Lynnes. The next day I received an email about going over pricing so that we 'were on the same page'. At the time I thought favorably of the email and the fact that there would be full disclosure before the sale. The next evening I made the call, and Jim broke down the pricing - but for some reason, the base price on the Santa Fe went up $3500! No, not because of taxes, or fees or anything else- the base price was nowhere near my original email quote. I was confused... so after tallying all of the numbers, I emailed Jim back regarding the large difference in the base prices.. not surprisingly, I did not get an adequate explanation.. So put Lynnes in the category of dealership who will say anything to get you in the door...
