by Ashley on 03/22/2020I visited Grappone less than a week after my car was totaled in an accident. It was also at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Needless to say, it was a stressful time for me personally and a stressful time for all. From the… wonderful things I have heard from friends and family who have worked with Grappone, my positive experience was pretty typical! But I feel compelled to share that I feel like John Fay and the team at Grappone treated me with special care this past week, with special considerations to my car-shopping after just having had an accident, and due to all of the precautions about the virus. John was not offended when I ask that he refrain from riding in the cars with me! I felt that I was given the time and space to look at cars, I was informed about what each car offered and what Grappone could offer me, but I was not pressured or pushed into making any decisions I wasn't ready for. When I told John I wasn't ready to decide yet and wanted to drive one more vehicle (the Ford Edge I ended up purchasing!), he simply said something like "Ok, sounds good. We'll find one for you!" And you did, and I absolutely loved the Edge and am so excited to be driving it. This is not the norm for the car dealerships I have visited in the past. It's usually an uncomfortable process for me, full of anxiety, tension, and pressure to "buy a car today. What can we do to make this deal work for you TODAY?" I felt listened to and understood, and it was comfortable and fun. Even after totaling my car and during a world-wide pandemic!! And an added bonus is that I absolutely LOVE my car!Great buying experience

The salesman was very knowledgeable about the car (Ford Edge ST), which hasn’t been the case for me during my past two buying experiences (at other dealerships). Buying process was clean and straight forward -… no haggle pricing on the purchase is the only way to go!...and they came in WELL above what I expected on my trade. All around it was a 10 out of 10! We were 1500 miles out-of-state on business, saw the vehicle we wanted on-line, and started the process five days before returning home. The paperwork, trade and financing were painless. The… fact the sales guts are not on commission means no high pressure to make a sale. Best experience I have ever had car-buying.Friendly, honest no pressure or upsells

Appreciated that the bump we found was fixed perfectly before we picked it up. Liked that we were given a quote on our trade in… within a half hour. Liked that we were offered bottled water and snacks while we waited for paperwork. Only complaints...Took about 5 mins. for a salesperson to help us after walking in the door. (Almost walked out.) Luckily, we waited and ended up buying the car we test drove. Also, the car we came to look at that was being advertised on the lot was not there due to transmission issues. Wouldn’t have stopped in if we had known that. Lastly, the bathroom in the show room wasn’t very clean.
