  • Extra $8000 fee surprise

    I was car shopping for myself and found a car for a nice deal at this dealership. I gave the company my information and received a call from a salesman who gave me false hope on a vehicle that I was interested in. He asked me to come in for a test drive and I live far so the drive was about 30 minutes away, which took up lots of my time and gas. Once I got there, I noticed a lot of things about the car that was not listed on the car fax that didn't match the sites advertisement so i called them out for being dishonest. So many discrepancies and lies. They failed to negotiate with me after this and gave me a pretend discount of $3600 off the car when they went into the backroom just for the total to be about a $1000 off from what they had originally given me. They added random fees to the itemized sheet and still never negotiated the price they promised. I had driven there almost 3 times and gave them a final out the door price which they rejected because of the mandatory 'love my car' package and reconditioning fee which I was told by one financial advisor who stated that it was optional but said that he had to make money or a profit somehow too. The reconditioning fee was for a "broken part" which should have been fixed regardless before purchasing, so why am i paying extra for something I didn't do. The salesman said "we had to fix it so it's your responsibility to pay for it." How RUDE. I appreciated the honesty but that was very unprofessional, because I was not happy with his response and unhappy with the offer they had given me because no one was willing to negotiate with me. The next day i received a call from a new advisor who seemed friendly over the phone and said i could lower the price of the packages and when i did, he rejected it after "speaking" with his general manager. Long story short, it's POINTLESS to come here. They give you and 8k price higher than what they have listed online on fees that have nothing to do with you and they DON'T negotiate. You'll be paying way more for their profit than your happiness and satisfaction. Save yourself the time.

    If you like to waste time this is the place. Do not trust father and daughter nice guy adds. Negotiated a cash price on line and over the phone with the salesman. Said come on down we can make a deal. Got there, test drove the car and sure enough went to start paperwork and the whole deal changed. Not just a couple of dollars but Thousands. Told the sales manager about the agreeded upon offer for me to drive there and all i got was a "sorry". Typical car dealership, Not sure who is worse a car dealer or a Repo Man.

  • The Euro Special

    Upon my visit to Jim Marsh, Chrysler Jeep, I ran into a sales associate named Kevin Manilo. He goes by the name of Euro. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and was willing to help me and my family decide on the right vehicle that fit our needs. He went over all the numbers in full disclosure, no secrets, no hidden fees. Everything was upfront and in the open for us all to see. Kevin was great. The sales manager, Eddie and Jon, a.k.a. Pineapple at least that’s what his name tag said we’re very friendly hospitable. They made us feel like part of the family. What a true asset to have, Kevin, Eddie, and Pineapple as a part of this dealership. We went, to four other dealerships, and retreated very badly. All they were pushy and aggressive and trying to take all of our money. They have no care for our needs. But when we came here to Jim Marsh, they made us feel welcome and really dialed in on our family needs thank you Kevin, Eddie, and Pineapple , professionalism and courtesy

    Johnny M. was very helpful as we walked in near closing, and never rushed us through the experience. Fees were WELL explained and some fair negotiations were made. As someone who has sold used cars, they have cost they need to cover. Jennie C. in finance was very professional and made the process easy. Well Done Team.

  • Disgusted. Horrible experience.

    ARROGANT and IGNORANT. This is a roadmap that hopefully will steer others clear of this dealership. 9 years ago, I began fighting an illness that is, unfortunately, without a cure and terminal. As such, I paid off my debts, sold my home and focused on what could be done to maximize the time left. This resulted in my becoming a bit of a ‘credit ghost’ in as much as I paid cash for everything. In hindsight, I should have retained some credit cards however I’ve yet to see a coffin that offers more than one direct deposit and never one that sees withdrawals whatever. This is where Jade Torres at the dealership comes into play. I’m now down to the wire on my date with fate; having maybe 18 to 24 months left. So over the next year, I plan on doing some road trips and as nice and comfy as my Range Rover is, it is, simply a beast on fuel. Decided buying a used Mini would be good for MPG (about 3x that of the Rover) while also offer something somewhat comparable to the supercharged fun of the V8 just in a smaller package. Found the Mini at this dealership. Didn’t bother to haggle and started the purchase. Applied for financing and was approved. This is where the proverbial pooch meets Jade Torres. I questioned the rate and was told it was at x as a result of the previously noted empty credit file. (The payment further inflated by Jade adding in a service contract i neither asked for or wanted) Jade relayed that my Experian credit score was x, to which I replied, no it is actually x + nearly 100 more points. I offered this info not from out my backside but rather from BEING AT THAT MOMENT LOGGED INTO EXPERIAN AND MY PERSONAL FILE WITH THEM. Are ya with me so far because here is where it gets good: Jade throws out a complete falsehood in attempt to brush the differences off. ‘It’s your automotive credit score’ that’s why it’s different. My what??? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN AUTOMOTIVE CREDIT SCORE. This, I can say quite confidently given 20+ years in finance and a degree in same. So that didn’t stick and what does Jade do? Doubles down on the lie and says ‘Your Experian score is x im looking at it now’. (Another lie) Remember the part about me being logged into Experian? Yeah. So I send Jade screen grab DIRECT FROM EXPERIAN which Jade says is ‘some app’. No, Jade. It’s EXPERIAN. So what does Jade do? Mind you that up to this point I had been completely civil with Jade. Jade decides the appropriate response is this direct quote: ‘’Nope I’m correct. I have sold cars for almost 10 years, I have a 780 score, own my home and have bought almost 20 cars myself. I’m 100% correct. Im not gonna have someone even with a xxx score and admittedly “thin file” tell me that I’m incorrect. Jade, I could care less about your 20 cars, your excessive real estate debt and your credit score it all precariously balances upon. Responding with that arrogant, childish, ignorant and insulting garbage is appalling. Had you been employed by the firm I owned back in the day and made such a statement, I would personally have escorted you out of the building without hesitation. But wait…Jade triple double downs it by trying to make some comparison about mortgage finance that they are even MORE wrong about. Just say anything and see what sticks; right Jade? WRONG. One would think that Jade might backpeddle a bit bit nope…double down again essentially saying I’m not going back and forth I can sell the car to anyone. We hadn’t gone back and forth. Jade only went forth with being totally dismissive. But it gets even better: The information Jade was so smug about? Not Experian. It’s actually FAIR ISSAC and Company. A score and company COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN EXPERIAN. So thank you Jade and whoever didn’t train you at the dealership to be civil and give factual information for making what would have been my last and most important auto purchase Jaden into such an insulting and horrible spit upon the grave I’m not even in yet. Disgusting.

  • 2022 Nissan Rogue for $27k (with Jim Marsh discounts of $14k) LOL

    I believe there was another review here that was also disappointed with the "false advertising" of this dealership. Their "Love Your Car" shove it in your face waste of money MANDATORY warranty that is absolutely worthless for $4,500. Why on earth would I buy a useless warranty for a vehicle that had 2 open Nissan recalls they didn't even bother to fix? for a Nissan from a Non-Nissan Dealership - that wasn't even "bumper to bumper? Oh - and the $2900 "Reconditioning Fee" for their expert inspection and reconditioning on a vehicle with only 3,500 miles - again, didn't bother to fix the recalls? Laughable at best. You have to be kidding me:? Wasted my entire morning to find out that the price was actually $8-9k more than advertised with these shameful deceiving add-ons. Even with the "Jim Marsh" discount. Deceitful is NOT a way to do business, and this dealership has lost my trust.

  • Lesson learned - False Advertising in digital age

    I guess I am not the only one who encounter this "false advertising" experience. I've noticed there are a few other recent reviewers raised this concern. They didn't disclose their pricing on their website nor they responded to my emails and texts about their "out the door price" on the vehicle I was interested in. So I was anticipating some price differences when I got there but not "EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS " difference. They did that by charge the consumers "I love your car package " for $4500 and " Recondition fee" for another $2900 and other various fees. So I guess that is how they conduct their business in this digital age. And this is just another lesson in life, that is " if something sounded too good to be true, then it is not true."

  • Low inventory fees?

    First off when I ask for a sticker price off the window, that is what I’m expecting to see when I get on the lot, not an additional $8,000 surprise, which $5,000 of that is a low inventory fee!! I’m sorry my budget is not based on your low inventory, that’s your problem not mine! Second, after speaking with sales they come out with several different prices (gotta play the game) however, none of them was for a lease like I asked. When they did finally give me what I asked for the price comparison from what I figured out on line and what they did was almost $300 more!! (Thank goodness for screenshots). I was about to walk and dialed another dealership in front of them. After almost 15 mins the finance manger comes out and gives me the price I figured out on line. I finish the paperwork, wait for my vehicle and as they’re about to put the plate on, they realize the vin doesn’t match the plate - they detailed the wrong car (there was a twin on lot) SERIOUSLY??? I ended up taking the other vehicle home, to come back the following day to switch vehicles that had the correct paperwork. Talk about a cluster mess and another trip across town… The salesman blamed the finance guy, basically everyone was pointing fingers at someone else. I finally have my vehicle and I’m happy… Just know and watch the final price about a low inventory fee that’s attached!

    I was in need of a new car and have always wanted a Jeep. This is the worst time to need a new vehicle and was having the hardest time finding anything. After nearly 3 weeks of searching, I saw online that Jim Marsh had a few in transit. I contacted the dealership and found out that there was one on the way that was perfect (if I built it myself it would've been almost exact)! I rushed down to the dealership and thanks to the amazing sales and finance teams (Maribella, Mike Foley & Joe Jacoby & Jeannie) it was a smooth and relatively quick process!! Four days later, my Jeep was ready and the delivery process was just as great! I am so happy with my purchase and am enjoying my new ride! I would recommend this dealership to anyone that is in need of a new vehicle. The staff at Jim Marsh is awesome! I'm sure the service department will be just as awesome when I'm in need of their services as well.

    I took my vehicle to the auto shop for a small paint job in my rear bumper and they did a wonderful job. What I liked a lot is that they not only washed my car after the job was done but also cleaned the inside of my vehicle too.

    I was very surprised by the customer service at Jim Marsh! I emailed them with a few requests and instead of trying to convince me to come in so they could try and manipulate me (like all car salesmen do), they just gave me what I asked for. Straight up, no B.S. It was refreshing to feel like you’re not being “worked over” by a dealership. We figured out the car we wanted, with the superb help of Charlene and had the deal set up before I even walked out of my house. At the dealership, Johnny took care of the rest and showed us how to work almost everything in the car. He also sent us videos, so we could learn more on our own. I have never had a dealership walk me through so many details! The best part of it all was Charlene though. She was so helpful, kind, personable and didn’t try to B.S. me once. She felt like a long time family friend by the end of the day! The entire experience was phenomenal. I would recommend this dealership to anyone, anytime.
