Reccomended
by Lmj2020 on 03/14/2019I was looking for a specific car for months when Taylor found the perfect car, the color, the interior, everything about it was what I wanted. She was extremely knowledgeable and it didnât take very long to sort out the paperwork. Iâm… very happy with the service she provided for me, and I will be returning to her in the future for my next vehicle.Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback, Lmj2020! All of us here at Bertera hope you're enjoying the new vehicle. Thanks again and have a great day!
Misleading ads and high pressure sales
by NotHappyWithBertera on 12/29/2018I was drawn to the dealership because they had advertised very good prices on their website. When it came down to the actual deal the salesman added in a "Retail Adjustment". The story was that all their advertised pricing is wholesale. A… retail adjustment must be added in for retail purchases. This adjustment was over $2,000 on a $22,000 used vehicle. I found this to be deceptive advertising. I could not come to terms on the sale because the salesman continued to avoid providing a bottom line price. I was offered an opportunity to take the car overnight to show it to my wife as she was unable to be with me at the dealership. I agreed to leave a $200 deposit to be refunded when the vehicle was returned. Upon returning the vehicle I was told there was nobody available to process refunds and I would have to come back later. This was after a high pressure attempt to sell the vehicle which I had decided not to purchase. During both visits I was made to wait much longer than I believe was necessary for every little thing. When I returned the vehicle I was left to wait while the entire sales staff held a department meeting leaving me to sit and wait for it's conclusion. I found the customer service to be unacceptable. If you are looking for a stress free buying experience avoid this dealershipSilverado Purchase

Excellent crew
by Familycircus on 08/03/2018We bought a new suburban. Jason had extensive knowledge of the vehicle and spent time with us at delivery going over all the features. Jacob found us an interest rate twice as good as the one i found on my own. Both were very professional… to work with.Thank you for those kind words, Familycircus! If you ever have any comments, questions, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance. Thanks again and have a great weekend!
Flim / Flam Pricing - buyers beware!!!
by Jeepless2018 on 02/22/2018Had a bad experience with the dealership today Bertera Chevrolet had listed a 2010 Jeep for $14,800 (+/-) although it was on the higher retail side my daughter was still interested so we go to purchase it, only to be told after the test… drive, and returning back into the dealership that the listed price was supposedly a (WHOLESALE PRICING) yet according to KBB blue book value the $14,877 was a "fair" higher retail price showing it valued between 12,000-14,988. The Sales person stated that I (we) need to pay an additional $2150.00 now; being the actual retail price is $17,027... despite the fact the advertised price that brought me to the dealership being $14,877 even more concerning is I received a pricing guarantee of $14.577.00 through Edmund for the exact vehicle. as well as an email from Bertera Chevrolet.-Rachael Lebel confirming the price at $14,577.00. Clearly the dealership is dishonest with its pricing practices and anyone crazy enough to think about purchasing a vehicle from Bertera Chevrolet. should do their homework and know what the vehicle is really worth, compared to their advertising price and watch out for Bertera Chevrolet pricing scams after you get thereSuccessful purchase of a 2016 Chevy Malibu
by rauclair on 06/14/2016Bertera Chevrolet provided excellent on-line customer assistance, attention to my car purchasing requirements, as well as treating me with courtesy and respect throughout my car buying experience. A cut above several dealerships in Central… MA that did not do the same.Ripped off
by kbrill on 05/14/2009To begin i want to make it clear that I'am at fault also for being so trusting and stupid. Last 07/08 a tree fell on my Buick and totaled it the ins co payed out but i had no trade only a 1000.00 to put down. I needed a car quick!! I… went to Bertera and was greeted quickly my saleman did show me many vehicles but none that I came prepared to see from the internet he really was trying to push me into buying the stripped chevy cobolt I almost did at the last min I decided not to. I then decided to buy something else and all of a suddened my credit was not any good to buy that car. I told him I will go somewhere else and then he brought me the Pontiac g6 that I ended up with. I was then shuffled off to the finance guy a day later and he told me a totally different price than the internet said and gave me the explanation that the internet price was with a trade in, but the add did not deem such a thing and he was against that but assured me I was getting the cost below value which turned out to be a blatent lie. (I m to embarassed to tell you how much thet took me for) they also told me I had to come back with the car because a part in the steering a minor bushing had to be replaced, along with a insp sticker and a few other details. When I came back in a week later because I had to make an appt they knew nothing of this part and also did not want to give me a rental car. The man in the service dept made me feel like such a jerk I wanted to get my car and get out as fast as I could, needless to say its now may/09 and my car has a problem with its front end and of course there is no documentation of the part the so called fixed!!!! I hate shady dealerships. They new I needed a car quick and saw me comming. I will never go there again and I tell all my friends and co workers to stay away!!!!MCS 2004
by clam1094 on 08/26/2008We purchased a 2004 Cooper S from the dealer 1 August 2008. We buy cars infrequently and this one was easier than some. The salesman was an automobile enthusiast and was more knowledgeable than any other sales people we delt with on our… quest for this car. You do have to be willing to play the "car game" and wait for the inevitable negotiation phase. That said, the real joy was how the car was prepared for us. We asked that the car be cleaned and that a scratch be removed from the bumper. The preparation was superb. On their own, they replaced the brakes, various bulbs that apparently were out and cleaned the interior and exterior as if readying it for a show. A delay in delivery of a day was necessary to remove an aftermarket tint film that wouldn't pass a state inspection. We were in the dark about such a requirement and removal was no easy task. Full gas tank was provided and we were ready to go. The only down side was the apparent blocking of subsequent calls to the salesman to inquire about a missing trim piece. A call to a real Mini dealer took care of the problem. We would recommend this dealer and would consider for our next purchase.EXTREMELY DISHONEST AND DECEITFUL
by friend4 on 06/21/2008Long story short- took about four trips to this dealership. They kept us waiting about 2 to 3 hours each time even though we had agreed verbally on a price. Yet every time they kept ignoring what we just talked about and kept trying to… add things in and bring the price up as if we can't read when its written in ink.worst car buying experience I ever had
by abigailmk on 05/20/2008My husband and I where looking for a good used minivan and decided to go to Bertera because it was close to where we lived. We found a Town & Country for about $10,500, but with our trade in we figured it was a good deal. first they… insisted we give them a deposit before they let us even test drive the vehicle. It ran well but was kinda dirty and really needed to be detailed, the salesmen was hesatent about answering our questions, just kept insisting we need to get the paperwork going or we might loose the car.During the paperwork process the asking price of $10,500went up to $14,000! the salesman said that it was a higher price because we had a trade in. I thought that was the craziest thing I ever herd, I have traded in vehicles before and never come across this. But we thought we really wanted the car so we where willing to try and work it out. We dicided that we wanted to take one more look at the car after it was cleaned up better befor we signed. They said they would show us after we signed, which made us kinda leary about the car so we insisted on seeing the car first, but they said they couldnt find the keys. we decided that was enough and we where taking our business to someone else. They also REFUSED TO GIVE US OUR DEPOSIT BACK! This is one dealership I will never visit again.Poor service at Bertera
by greidw on 03/26/2011updated 05/31/2025If you are a woman alone buying a car, skip Bertera, they wont even wait on you. I couldn't get anyone to help me while standing in the middle of the dealership for twenty minutes, although the couple who came in ten minutes after me were… greeted promptly. I had even called before I came down to let them know I was coming. When I wrote an email complaint, I got an insincere apology with a lot of excuses from the sales manager, who said he would get back to me on the price of the car, but never did. Neither did the salesman. Two and a half weeks later I can say about all I've gotten from Bertera is insulted.F- Typical dealership/salesman hassles
by swamper8 on 01/22/2011updated 05/31/2025I rate Bertera Chevy a F-. They are the epidemy of why dealers have bad reputations and people don't like going. A friend and I went simply to do a walk around on a vehicle we saw on Autotrader. Vehicle was not marked well so we went in for… confirmation this was the car we saw online. Salesmen insisted that my friend fill out a credit application before they brought the car down or confirmed this was the one online. It was a hassle from the second we stepped inside. It was the typical garbage one expects and hates when buying a car from a dealer. The salesman was pushing the credit check and then the manager came out and did the same thing. All we wanted to do was look at the car! Save your time and money and go somewhere else!Bertera are [violative content deleted]
by carrieleev on 02/21/2011updated 05/31/2025Emailed dealer about a car online, was very specific that I wanted that car and nothing else. Upon arrival I knew it was mistake to be there. The salesperson was sloppy and not very bright. They would not let me see the car until I did… financing. Should have left then. After some running around over price the salesperson told be that I had to buy a warranty, it was required by the bank. When I questioned that, because I know that it is illegal for banks to do that, he then informed me the vehicle I wanted was conveniently sold that morning but he had something else in that should work. I did not hesitate I walked. Not a gossod experience
by jagmeister1 on 01/22/2012updated 05/31/2025Th wanted is dealer did not come close to Edmunds fair retail price. I felt like the sales person just wanted to sell me a car and get me out the door. This is the second bad experience with this. My sister in law had a horrid experience… with them years ago.Avoid at all costs...
by daigs on 01/20/2012updated 05/31/2025When you walk in, you're going to be told you need to fill out a credit application before they will even talk to you about vehicles. Even if you're going to pay cash or work on financing yourself. Beyond that, there are two people there… named Joe and Jay who claim to run the place. On a call with them, they argued, insulted me and challenged me to go there and "see what happens". Unreal. Buyer Beware!
