Very Bad to work with
by Keith on 02/25/2025Not only did i get an invite to come look at a white 2016 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid to test drive yesterday but when i got there after a 1.5 hr drive they tell me its not even there. Then when asking questions about the vehical they tell me that… they haven't even took pictures of the car or even know officially what features are in the SUV. the price was listed for 14,977 and would not budge with the price or negotiate even know i would of paid full out cash. Lost a potential customer.Complete waste of time
by Rebecca Benson on 05/02/2022updated 05/09/2022I scheduled a test drive through Edmunds for 10:15 this morning. I arrived on time and was greeted promptly. After giving my info to the salesman I was left waiting for twenty minutes only to have him finally reappear and tell me the car… was on the lift so not only could I not drive it, I couldn't even see it. He then offered to show me other inventory in my price range and I agreed. He disappeared once again, only to come back(quickly this time!) with another associate to tell me they would call me when and if the car I'd come to look at was deemed safe. The bottom line is that I did not at all feel valued as a potential customer and my time was wasted.Think twice or three times before dealing here
by syrdcn on 08/04/2009The Cars for Clunkers prompted me to replace my 2003 Santa Fe . My experience with the Santa Fe was excellent so I wished to buy another. . I drove the car of my choice with the salesperson. Who continually assured me it was the car for… which I was dealing. In the end the salesperson apologized saying a mistake had been made. The calculations were for another, cheaper model. Then I was told that the $4,500 rebate was now $3,500 in spite of their telling us earlier they had verified the transaction as eligible for $4,500. During my two visits the sales person had long consultations with whom I assume to be the sales manager, punctuated by sales people yelling to each other and a loud bell ringing. Finally I was given a confusing computer spreadsheet of sorts that I could not decipher. Nothing added up. The new price was a over three thousand dollars higher. The last straw, after another lengthy sales manager consultation, was a print out with a slightly lower price and a handwritten addition "good for tonight only" and a place for my signature. . At that point I got up and left. I would be more exact about the figures but they kept the spreadsheet.Happy Balise customer
by capecodrondo on 01/18/2014updated 06/01/2025I have bought two Hyundai vehicles from Balise since they acquired the franchise. They practice fair pricing, have a good service department and have an excellent sales staff. It happens that the salesperson I work with at Balise has been… with Hyundai for years and has sold me all my previous Hyundai's. I was so pleased to see that they employ her.Deception, Lying and "Bait & Switch"
by novacasa on 11/01/2011updated 06/01/2025I have nothing but utter disgust for salesman David Cronin and his manager Mike from Balise Hyundai in Hyannis. I spent 2 weeks dealing with David who was supposed to find a vehicle for us. Last week he said he found it in NY and said he… could get it if we gave a deposit, which we did. Last Thursday he called to tell me the car was in and I could come get it. He also told me for the first time about a documentation fee that was NEVER mentioned before in our price negotiation. I told him that I would not pay it and wanted my deposit back. David called me today to say that his manager agreed to drop the sales price by the same amount and to come on in to get the car. I changed my schedule around and drove 2hrs from RI to Hyannis to do the paperwork so as to accommodate his month end sales numbers. When I got there, I asked to see the car. David said that it was "on its way in from Boston" then went to speak to his sales manager Mike to find out exactly when it would arrive. Not only was I upset about it not being there I was also suspicious about the whole thing since it was now coming from Boston NOT New York as David first told me last week. In the end, the car was NEVER there and was NOT on its way in so I drove for 2 hrs EACH WAY for nothing. This was blatant lying, deceptive sales practice and a simple "Bait & Switch" attempt on their part. There are plenty of other dealers... DO NOT TRUST this dealership.
