    We drove 2.5 hours to see a used Lexus RX 350. We talked to them the night before about it to make sure it was still there. A woman checked to make sure it was at this location. They even called to see if we were still coming in the morning. Once we got there, we were informed they sold it yesterday morning! They showed us a beat up Lexus instead that didn't have anything the other one had. Huge dent, multiple scratches. No trust. If you're far, don't waste your time! Bait and switch! Brian didn't even seem to care that it happened. Bad customer service. Very disappointed. Also after our long car ride home, we noticed it was still on the website so we called to see if it was available. Of course it is! Don't trust them.

The information that we had was that you made an appointment to see the Rogue, and you had mentioned that you might want to look at an RX too. I don’t want to put words in your mouth, because I didn’t speak with you. All I can say is that I am very sorry. When I realized you wanted to look at an RX, I went out back personally and found another fresh trade to show you, it hadn’t been detailed yet, nor had the two dents been removed. It did have brand new tires and the safety check work had been completed. I agree it wasn’t in front line condition, but after the work it would be a nice alternative. I know I’ve said this is our previous correspondence, but there’s isn’t much that we wouldn’t do to make this up, including driving another RX to Maine. I understand that you have since purchased elsewhere and I’m sincerely disappointed to have lost your business. We are truly sorry and wish you well with your new vehicle.     I have never written a review before but I wanted to do so in order to give credit to Herb Chambers Lexus of Norwell and my wonderful sales person, Sam P. I am also writing this to help other car buyers. I have had some pretty negative sales experiences at dealerships in the past mostly in the form of aggressive, pushy, argumentative sales reps/mgrs. Once I could not get my car key back after they checked it for trade-in and had to sit through their sales pitch and a lengthy wait before they could "find it" where it was sitting behind their counter None of that happened here. From the moment I arrived in their beautiful showroom, everyone was friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful. I extensively research before I settle on a make/model. Sam P wanted to know what I wanted. He did not try to argue me into what he wanted to sell or question my criteria for choosing a particular car. It was a refreshing change from prior experiences! I am surprised to say that I truly enjoyed my shopping experience. Though I did not find what I was looking for that day, I am now diligently checking their inventory regularly. A very nice woman called after my visit and asked permission to keep an eye out for the car I wanted. What a pleasure to be treated with warmth and respect. I would recommend that dealership and Sam P and will definitely return!

  • Best Car Buying Experience Ever!!!!!

    My daughter and were just driving through the lot looking at cars and on our way out we were approached by a smiling salesman, Marcenel. He did not motion for us to stop, but gave me the impression that if I wanted to stop he was ready to answer any questions I had. I didn't have much time to spend so I just pulled over and talked to him through the window. I told him I was looking for a slightly used Lexus and mentioned to him that I had seen one online I was interested in at another HC dealership. He volunteered to look into it for me, took my name and number and called me back within the hour to tell me he would drive to the other dealership and bring the car back to Norwell for me to try it out the next day. Unfortunately (initially) by the time he arrived at the dealership, someone had put a deposit on that car. He called me from the dealership to let me know, but had found out in the meantime that they had just gotten a trade in that day that was the same car I wanted. He offered to let me see it, before it went through the shop, to see if I "loved" it, which I did. It was now 5:00 on Mother's Day and I went in and spoke with Marcenel and Donna, the manager on that day, and made the deal in less than 10 minutes and it wasn't because they were rushing me out the door, which they certainly weren't. It was because they were that easy to deal with. That is how the whole experience went. Marcenel kept in constant contact with me while we were waiting for the title to come in. He called me as soon as the title came in and was there on his day off to deliver the car to me and explain how everything worked, thanks for your patience Marcenel. The last thing he did for me was even drive to the old car owner's house to retrieve the second set of keys for me. That's how to treat your customers!!! Couldn't be happier with my car or the way I was treated throughout the whole experience. So, if you're heading for this dealership, ask for Marcenel, and I'm sure you'll be happy you did!!!!!!

    My wife and I have purchased a lot of used cars, but this was our best experience. There wasn't the typical high pressure sales tactics from our salesman Luke. The price was right for the Toyota Venza we ended up buying, which was in like new condition. Everyone involved treated us with courtesy and professionalism. I would go there again.

    I have been a Toyota owner for 30 years. I decided to "move up" to a Lexus and found the nearest one from Cape Cod to be in Norwell--Herb Chambers. I am glad I found it! My experience there was very memorable in all good ways, thanks to my Sales Rep. Jim D. and the General Sales Manager Bob C. I found these men willing to spend as much time and effort that I needed to meet my needs in every way. This is my first pleasant car buying experience and I actually feel that I got exactly what I wanted---in car and cost!

    In the past, buying a car has been a long and painful process. I was not looking forward to that exercise again! Much to my surprise, Wiara at Lexus of Norwell, made it a seamless and enjoyable transaction. My husband and I were dealt with in a most respectful and courteous manner by everyone at Lexus of Norwell. There was no pressure and no 'salesman' approach. We are most pleased with the accommodating and pleasant atmosphere in every step of our experience. Since delivery, every question about my car has been answered in one quick phone call. Herb Chambers must be very proud of his staff in Norwell! Thank you Wiara!

    I drove to the dealership on a whim as I was at Home Depot picking up more paint. I walked in wearing paint stained clothes and not looking much like a serious buyer. Marcenel L. was the salesperson who helped me. He treated me as if I were dressed in designer clothes and diamonds. He helped guide me in the right direction as to the options I required. They didn't have the car I was looking for, but just a few days later, Marcenel called me to tell me of a car he located. I thought the color combination sounded strange, but he said he would pick up the car for me to look at. As soon as I saw and drove the car, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Marcenel really was a sales guide, not a salesman. Very happy with my experience.

    We recently purchased a CT200 from Herb Chambers Lexus of Norwell. Wiara, our sales consultant was great. She found the vehicle we wanted, all ready to go within a week. I usually dread the whole car buying ordeal, but Wiara made it an enjoyable no pressure experience. The financial part was handled by Tim M. and was great also. I would definitely recommend them.

    I had a great sales experience at Herb Chambers Lexus of Norwell, I initially found the car online and drove down to check it out. I was impressed by the quality of the used cars on their lot, and the low pressure attitude of the sales staff. We were greeted by Jim D, who ended up assisting us throughout the sales experience. We were not purchasing a Lexus vehicle, but I was very knowledgable of the Audi model that we looked at. Jim let us take the car on an extended test drive, and had a great route to get to know the car on. The car was well presented, and I felt very comfortable purchasing with the dealership. The financing team was great, and I was given a fair and reasonable price for my used car. I would definitely recommend both Lexus of Norwell and Jim for his patient and cooperative sales experience.
