    I bought an 2017 SUV in March. I took it to the dealership for oil change and that morning all the dash lights came on. I wasn’t worried cause I had gotten the extended warranty for the vehicle. Unfortunately the warranty did not cover what was wrong with the car. It was going to cost me more than the vehicle was worth to get it fixed. So the next best thing was finding a vehicle similar to the price. I have to say that Marty and Peter are the very best. They were so caring and showed real concern for my situation. I would recommend them everyday and twice on Sunday.

    Hyundai of Auburn exceeded all expectations. The sales experience was one of the best I have encountered. All functions were both efficient and and exceedingly competent. Najee was extremely accommodating across the board. Brenden was a true professional who very clearly knew everything about the product line as well as how to engage with a well educated customer. As for the finance integration, Nha was both knowledgeable as well as extremely respectful of my time and needs. As this is my wife’s 1st Hyundai, quite honestly, I was not sure what type of experience we would encounter. Suffice it to say, the experience was fabulous defining my rating of 10’s across the board. So if you are in the market for a Palasade or any other model, Herb Chambers of Auburn should be on your list! Thank you to the year for a great buying experience.

  • Sales person ok but management team poor

    Made an appointment to view a specific car. Got prequalified ahead of time for financing. Did all the work, drove an hour to get there and was there over 2.5 hours with nothing to show for it but disrespect for my time and condescending front office staff. Sales person running back and forth trying to get questions answered and no other customers in there. Finance guy was outright rude. I got the distinct impression that they had some kind of inside joke going on at my expense in the front office area. I wanted to wait a couple of days to be sure the needed things were done but was told that the car would probably be sold if I waited any longer. Typical rush to finish after keeping me there 2 and a half hours. Car was not cleaned, not inspected and needed a few things done, but they wanted me to sign the sales agreement before they did those things. My gut instinct told me to run fast. They obviously dont care about my business.

    Honestly we have had issues in the past with the service department but the sales team itself has always been A1. We have leased or purchased 6 Sonata’s from this dealership and every sales experience was better than the last.

  • Horrible customer service

    We love our car - but hate the experience of this dealership and its staff. They responded to our phone calls and emails within minutes before we signed the paperwork, but after that...it was like pulling teeth and herding cats. We left several messages for the GM, the sales associate, the business associate ...and it took days to get answers. We wanted to know really basic things like when our car would be ready / delivered to us (it was one week from when we signed the paperwork), how many credit inquiries they actually ran on my SSN when they promised me they would only do one hard inquiry. Then, once they delivered the car, they forgot to sign the Bill of Sale and they forgot to disengage the car from the previous owners account - which was not only unprofessional but it created a huge liability as the previous owner could still control our car via his mobile phone while we were physically in it and had legal ownership of it. Two weeks from when we purchased the car, and one week after we had it in our possession...we finally were able to activate the BlueLink and have the mobile app synced with our car. Disappointing to experience this for sure...and I hate having to write reviews like this...but they really were the worst in customer service, resposiveness, attention to detail and responsibility.

While you were here we had the pleasure of speaking, I agreed to have someone deliver the car to you( roughly 2 hours away) the following Wednesday. The vehicle was delivered on Wednesday as promised and I have not heard from either of you since. I have no messages, emails, or texts.   • Adventure 101

    Life is full of adventures. Some can be exciting, challenging, extremely memorable, or whatever we decide to make of them. Being previous owners a a few Santa Fe’s , we decided to set out for another adventure, let’s check the new Santa Fe’s and see what’s changed. Maybe it’s time to trade up again to a newer model. Our journey took us to Herb Chambers, Auburn, Ma. Hyundai Dealership. There we were greeted with a great smile and welcomed by Stan Otoo-Genesis, a sales consultant. Stan guided us through the new design features on the 2023 Santa Fe’s. He asked if we would be interested seeing one. He actually showed us two models . Even though our 2020 Santa Fe was in good shape, running well, and had low mileage, both my wife Linda and I started to think about the possibility of replacing it with newer model and different color. Something we really didn’t plan on prior to our visit. I believe Stan became aware of this and started discussions that moved us off the fence , Should we or shouldn’t we to a discussion on which of the two Santa Fe models we were shown. Seeing I chose the white 2020 four years about I surrender to Linda’s color choice, which was the Black model. That evening we ended up purchasing a 2023 Santa Fe SEL with the Premium Package. Stan also help us in the transfer of our existing Blue Link account and our Sirus XM Radio account. Stan also made himself available to assist us with understanding to new technologies and other features that we may not be Familiar with. After purchasing our new Santa Fe and before we set off on a new , adventure; Linda asked if he could connect to Cell Phone to the car? We were amazed how quick and easy he installed the phone. I believe Stan and Paul Weber made our New Car Adventure a pleasant experience and best of all we have two new friends. Wishing Stan Otoo- Genesis and the rest of the Auburn Staff and their families a Very Prosperous New Year. Happy New Year.   • Best dealership I’ve ever worked with!

    By far best dealership I’ve ever dealt with. I had gone to two other Hyundai’s and a Honda, all of which gave me prices way higher than listed online and did the typical “walking back and forth to speak to their manager.” I have a super busy schedule so I can’t afford to take a day off to be messed with. Hyundai of Auburn did the entire pricing and credit process with me via email and phone so when I went in, I already knew the exact payment. I worked with Stan Otoo Genesis, Jackie Sebastian, and Caitlin Langevin. All of them communicated with one another and made everything go smoothly. Super happy with my car and will definitely only use this dealership for now on 😊

    I would definitely say this was the best car buying experience I’ve had! Rick was super helpful and friendly and never tried to pressure me into anything I didn’t want. He kept everything moving quickly and had my car ready for me on the day he promised. Ryan in finance was also great and saved me from a headache in a few years. I will definitely be getting my next car from them.

    After an exhausting search through 4 dealers on Route 20, visiting Diamond Chevrolet, Lundgren Honda, Prime Ford and finally ending up at Herb Chambers Hyundai, I am amazed at the difference! the staff didn't push a car on me and worked to get me into a car I could afford and one I could love! Ended up with a certified used 2014 Nissan Versa SV and I love it!

  • CHEATED OUT OF MY REFUND

    I purchased 2 cars from this dealership the last one a 2013 Santa Fe they sold me 2 extended service plan one for wheel protection and the other for key fob replacement . I owed this vehicle for one year and sold it in March of 2014 went to the dealership for a prorated refund on these 2 plans. first of all they told me my sales person was in prison and longer worked for them then i waited 90 min to see someone in finance was told after i filled out and signed the paper work i would receive a check in about 4 weeks... this check never came, when i went back another turn over of people and was told i had to start all over again it must have gotten lost... another 6 weeks and it never came again. after 4 visits countless phone calls that the never return I started filling complaints to the BBB and the ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. they like to threaten you when you say anything negative BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP they are nowhere close to being professional even after i gave them my buisness twice .

    Really, really impressed with this team. Couldn't have asked for a better car-buying experience! I recently started looking to purchase a certified pre-owned car. I did research online ahead of time, and then scheduled appointments to test-drive vehicles at several different dealers. Herb Chambers Hyundai in Auburn was my first appointment. I had no intention of buying a car when I walked in, but they were great—very helpful, answered all my questions, not at all pushy, had a sense of humor, were committed to exceptional customer service, and got me everything I wanted at a really good price—so, to my surprise, I ended up buying a car. Brianna was my first point of contact—she was great, really helpful answering my initial questions and getting me set up with an appointment. My salesman, Mike C, was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, really funny, and not once did I feel pressured into buying a car—I genuinely felt like he was there to help me out. And when I asked for automatic locks/keyless entry to be installed in the car, he advocated on my behalf with his manager. Mike totally broke every stereotype I had about what a car salesman is like. Ask to work with Mike, he's great! Managers Joey and Tim were also extremely helpful. At every stage of the process, I kept waiting for it turn into this stressful experience—but it never did. Such a positive experience!
  • Pleasantly Surprised!

    I went into this dealership expecting to have to do everything I could, to not allow myself to be manipulated into buying a car I could not afford. I ended up being very pleasantly surprised. No high pressure sales tactics. Very pleasant and respectful staff. Mike gave me a fair price for my trade, a great price on my new 2010 Elantra and a great rate (although rate is based on credit they didn't try to say we did not qualify..which I have seen done before with less ethical dealerships). If there was a down side it was the ad and the fact that they tack on to the MSRP. The ad could be taken as misleading stating $5000 for trade in 0% interest etc. but you have to read the fine print where it is based on Invoice (added price) and 0% was for the Sonata only. It does state it in the ad and they all (not only car dealerships) use these Marketing/Advertising strategies and it is not Mike Stan or Matt's issue. As a matter of fact Mike and Stan were up front and honest about it from moment one. I just think it would be nice if the customer didn't have to sort through all that and I'm sure Mike and the Sales team would have less bruises at the end of the day if they didn't have to explain the ad. This is not a sleezy dealership it was actually a very honest up front dealership ..my only complaint is that I wish the ad reflected that. BTW - I love my new car!!

    The relatively new salesman said in the lot that we could get both a $2000 rebate and 0% financing. Wow, better than we expected so we went in took a test drive and sat down to deal. We said what car we wanted and gave our trade info etc. The general salesman then came back and slapped a paper on our table with his numbers. Boy were we shocked! The selling price he came back with was $1500 above the sticker, he offered us $900 less than the Kelly BB for our trade and there was no rebate. He also had a monthly payment all figured out w/o knowing how many months we wanted. When we questioned the rebate, he said that we didn't qualify because we were not military of Hyundai loyality customers. He was dead wrong. There is a $2000 rebate for all people. After haggling we arrived at a price that I wanted which included the rebate. Now to the finance room! As usual, we were pressured to buy all insurance, warranties, thefts devices etc. I wanted none. Then came time to sign I noticed that he was charging 8.9% interest (which is absurdly high) and asked why. He said that you can't get both the rebate AND 0% financing. The salesman admitted to saying that we could and finally admitted that he was wrong and made a mistake. I charged fraud and demanded the original quote given to me 41/2 hours earlier but guess who won! I ended up with 0% interest in lieu of the rebate. After being there for over 5 hours from start to finish, I felt betrayed and cheated. I ended up buying a beautiful Hyundai Sonata for the looks and warranty as I did not want to go through this process again soon! I ended up paying around $800 less than the bottom sticker price with them making me feel like they were making very little profit. They most likely ended up with about a $1000 profit when all was said and done. Don't let them fool ya. Never again Herb Chambers!
