Excellent sales
by epark on 03/30/2015I just purchased a forester at this dealer. Sales staff, Gary was very pleasant to work with. It is not like old days when we used to tug with a sales staff as for the better pricing. My wife was not present when I test-drive the car. Later… several hours when my wife arrived to sign the paper, the car was washed and ready to drive home. It was very pleasant feeling. I could give 5 stars if the financing process speeds up. I had to wait for about 30 minutes, but once the paper was all ready, it would not take much time. Overall, it was very pleasant experience. Excellent customer service for critical repair
by Skye88 on 02/05/2015Our family, including people with disabilities, was traveling through this area when we heard a worrisome noise from our Subaru Outback. We called as the service day was closing, and were kindly assured that our car would be checked the… next morning when service opened again. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and our car was inspected immediately. A major repair was needed, and the service department has had several men working to complete the extraordinary repair. Stress free experience

Jim Boratenski treated us like old friends and with absolutely no pressure… sales tactics. He simply showed us some cars and let us make up our minds. We chose a 2015 Forester and absolutely love the car. The fact that it handled our first snow of the year with flying colors while other cars were spinning their wheels makes it even sweeter. Fantastic sales experience
by nymets69 on 12/13/2014I started out by using the USAA buying service and finally landed at Herb Gordon Subaru. After owning a 1998 Honda Accord for 239,000 miles, I test drove a Ford Fusion Titanium(2015), a Mazda6(2014), a Volvo S60(2015) and a Honda… Accord(2014). I did test drive a 2015 Subaru 2.5i premium, but, after hearing that the configuration I was looking for would not be available until the beginning of January, 2015. After hearing that, I decided to get the Honda, although the more I thought about it, the more I wanted the Subaru Legacy Limited 2.5i with Eyesight, Nav, sunroof and keyless entry. I kept looking at Truecar to see if the car would be available sooner. On October 4th, I called Mike Roy to ask about availability and he told me they would be available this month (Oct.). So, I drove to the dealership and put down a deposit on the car I wanted. I was told it would be part of the November allocation. My salesman was Jim Boratenski, and I could not have had a more pleasurable experience. From start to finish Jim remained a delightful person with my kind of humor. As antsy as I became about the arrival, Jim was always unruffled and pleasant. When he had news about the arrival (which was invoiced the last day in November) he originally told me that the factory had a penchant for invoicing within the month of allocation because it made sales numbers look as good as possible ... and he was correct. He sent me an email on Sunday, Nov. 30th saying the car would be good to go on Monday, December 1st. When I came out to Herb Gordon, my car was parked in front of the dealership. It looked better than I imagined it would. My car remains a wonderful car that I am still far from knowing how to use it. Jim introduced me to the Bryan Liddiard to consummate the sale. Bryan was another part of your dealership that continued to make this purchase fantastic. Finally, Jim took me around to the service area and finalized a totally extraordinary experience. When all of the human introductions were completed, Jim accompanied me to my car to show me how to use it. I remain extremely satisfied with my Subaru without any bit of cognitive dissonance or buyer remorse. Every time I get into the car I revel in the total satisfaction of "owning" such a fine conveyance ... the bank really owns the car, but I own the tires (I traded the Goodyear Eagles for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s the day after picking up the car).Hello nymets69, Herb Gordon Subaru would like to sincerely thank you for taking your time to give us a complimentary review. My salesman, Rich C, made sure that I was comfortable with the car I had chosen and Diego M, the finance man,… hooked me up with a payment plan I could live with. They also gave me a generous trade-in allowance on my 15-year old car. I would go there again and I would heartily recommend this dealership to all my friends.Great buying experience !

by Matt21042 on 08/05/2014I recently purchased a 2015 Subaru WRX from Herb Gordon Subaru. The salesperson was Gary G. I had been searching online and doing a lot of pricing research and could not get a straight answer on pricing from a dealer close to my home. I… sent an email request to 3 dealers, and within 2 hours I had received a reply from Gary G telling me what my exact cost on the car would be. I put a deposit down and waited for my car - it was ordered custom from the factory in Japan so it took about 3 months to arrive. This car was in very high demand and I was told up front how long the wait would be, so no problem there. Once the car arrived, I went to the dealership and there were no hidden gimmicks, pricing tricks, etc. Gary was true to his word and the car cost me exactly what I had expected it to. I also had a pleasant experience with the dealer's finance manager, Brian. He represents several different banks and credit unions and was able to get me the same 1.99% financing that I would have gotten had I taken the extra time to go to a bank or credit union. He was also up front and zero pressure about extras such as the warranty and other available "add-ons". My total time at the dealer when I went to pick up my car was about 90 minutes. So far, 2 weeks in, I am absolutely loving the car. My wife test drove a 2015 Legacy and has ordered one as well. These are our first of hopefully many more Subaru vehicles. I would recommend Herb Gordon Subaru, and Gary G in sales, without hesitation.Outstanding experience

When I arrived at the dealership the sales rep I had been dealing with via e-mail was busy with another customer. Rather than leaving me to wait, he went and got another sales… person, Charles B. Charles was top notch. He was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and never pressured me on any point. He went over and above to make sure I had every opportunity to test drive the vehicles I was interested in. I wanted to test drive a CrossTrek but unfortunately none were prepped for a test drive so I made arrangements to come back in a couple of days. When I returned, the dealership still had not prepped any of the CrossTreks, so Charles went to the Service Dept to get one prepped. In the mean time, I test drove a Forester. When I returned, the CrossTrek was ready to be driven. Thanks to Charles and the Service Dept for getting the CrossTrek prepped. Once I had made my selection, I discovered that my loan had already been approved and dealt with Brian to finalize the paperwork. Brian was very efficient, professional all the while having a wonderful sense of humor. There was no pressure here either to purchase any "add ons" - only advice. With all the paperwork having been completed and my car ready to go, Charles went over the various features of the car being sure I understood everything including offering to set up the Bluetooth capability. I don't know if other dealerships offer free loaner cars but Herb Gordon does. Charles has made an appointment for me with the Service Dept to put the protective coatings on the paint and cloth seats and to have the loaner car ready when I arrive. While I've not dealt with the Service department yet for this vehicle, I always found this department to be thorough with my previous Subaru. Overall, my experience with Herb Gordon Subaru and all of its staff from the receptionist, to the sales personnel, to finance and service was a seamless pleasure. Thanks to all.Good morning. I like the No Pressure salesmanship

The dealership offered extended warranties and other high profit coverage policies, but when I said no,… that was that - no pressure. I wasn't sure if I wanted the Outback or the Forester. Rich described the features of both. I liked being able to test derive… both cars on my own without a salesman accompanying me. When I decided on the Forester I had to decide to wait for the 2014 or go with the 2013. Rich walked through the features of the 2014 in a no pressure fashion. I took a couple of weeks to look at 3 dealerships checking price and service record. Rich stayed in touch but never pressured me to make up my mind. When I finally decided on Herb Gordon he worked out the price and details and always followed up on questions promptly. When I went to pick up the car he gave me a very good orientation to the vehicle and walked me through all the manuals and warrany information. He had his work cut out for him since it was the end of the model year, and pickings of my preferred WRX Limited Hatchbacks in a 200 mi. radius were slim and going… fast. Indeed, Herb Gordon had none, but Jim knew my basic interests, and despite a few initial dead ends pursuing cars that had already been sold, he was able to locate one and work a transfer with another dealer, and bring it in for the sale.
