I was able to come to the Crystal Lake Mlady Nissan Dealership on my lunch break and test drive the three particular cars I was interested in and still make it back to work on time. Sebastian was extremely helpful in pinpointing the cars that would be of most interest to me and answering the questions I had about each of them. He did not push the sale but instead allowed me to determine what I was comfortable driving and crunched the numbers for me from there. I would recommend this dealership.
  • Do NOT go to this dealership switch and bait tatics horrible service etc!!!

    1 out of 5 starsby jk9684 on 09/21/2010

Purchased an 2001 Oldsmobile Alero in May 2010 from this deceptive unprofessional business. Was told car was taken car of and need no work what so ever "best car for the price" by my car salesman Bob. Never buy a car from this place. They wanted one price for the vehicle then I was told it would change and be more money the following day if I didn't buy it. The bait and switch tatic which really pissed me off. I didn't realize any of this unfortnantly till I got the chance to get home and conduct reviews. When I purchased the car they handed me the wrong keys on top of all of this! My salesman was very pushy an insisted on me hurring me up and ask "well are you going to buy this car or not, do we have a deal"? When signing papers for final bill of sale my folks had to run their credit card as I paid cash to them after we left the dealership. At a later date after reviewing my credit reports I found that this place also ran my credit and saw an inquiry on my report! This made me more upset because I am trying to rebuild from past credit problems not incure more problems and I've been keeping an eye on my credit along with working with a awesome Credit Union on rebuilding credit. Less than 24 hours later had to return vehicle to dealership for service. The service manager I addressed my problems to named Brian laughed at me and sat their eating a sandwich at his desk leaning back and wouldn't even look at me. What great customer service! At the time I was in my work uniform and thats why he laughed at me! I was on my way to work when I had to devert because I felt the car was unsafe. Upon purchase of vehicle I found also the horn did not work and car still pulled to the left, brake pedal pulsated and steering shook badly. Tranny flush, solinoied replacement and left alignment was still off! They rotated and repaired to front tires which did not need to be done which most likley messed up the car even more. Was given a loaner car during the duration the car was in the dealership for service and was told by service advisor Eric that car would be done in a couple days. Monday came around and car was not done I was then told it would be done on wednesday. Well low and behold wednesday came and no car. I called several times stating I need my vehicle back and was told it would be done by the end of the week. Friday came and I finally got my car back but their was something wrong with the braking system and car still shook alot. Found out few months later car needed new tires, front / rear stuts, coolant, brake flush radiator hoses, spark plugs and coil ignition. Have gotten everything finally fixed except I have to save up for tires still. But these are all things that should be done BEFORE selling a vehicle to a consumer. My father thought it was a decent car but I had my doubts. Only reason dealership recieved 1 star is because they had a no charge to customer on invoice and I recieved a loaner vehicle which drove better than the vehicle I purchased from them. I enjoyed the loaner more than my own car sadly. I am still filling out a BBB charge file against this company with the Chicago BBB district! I have not returned to this dealership since! Oh and Nissians 29 - point saftey inspection was never done either as I was told would be conducted at time of service!!!

We had a great experience purchasing a car from M'Lady Nissan! We love our new Pathfinder and the process was easy! Geno LeFever was very personable and helpful in helping us find the car we wanted. Betty Jo was a pleasure to work with. Overall, we have nothing but great things to say about working with M'Lady Nissan! Financing was very easy too!

Immediate email feedback and help from Patti. Then after working out those details, I came in and from start to finish I was driving my new Altima out the door in 2 hours. Thanks to Kenny G. Tom, Betty Jo and Patti for making this so easy. Lots of cars to choose from, but Patti narrows it down for you before you even walk in the door.

I very much enjoyed my experience here. I work with a salesman named Eddie. He Was wonderful. I have never enjoyed buying big item purchases, houses, applainaces and cars. But he should me what he had to offer, showed me how it could work with my every day driving and was upfront. Hemade sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process and helped me cal the insurance company and stayed with me through the finance office, I have always hated that office. He made it very enjoyable and fun. For once I am excited to have this new car that I can brag about :)

I just purchased a rouge from M'Lady Nissan. They were offering a great sale. It was a little pressured, there was a descrepency on the date of the sale...but i ended up with a decent deal on the car I came in for. The sales team was very friendly and knowledgable.

Working with M'Lady Nissan was a fairly painless experience. The sales representatives were easy to talk to and comfortable to work with, I got a good deal on a trade in and I love my new Frontier. I would recommend checking in with M'Lady Nissan.
  • M'Lady Nissan and Mark Kropp were OUTSTANDING!!!!!

5 out of 5 starsby ejmm on 07/31/2010

We were hunting for a new Nissan Maxima, and we shopped 8 different dealers in the area. Every dealer we visited used bait and switch tactics by advertising low prices in the paper and on the web, and then failed to honor them. M'Lady was the only one to step up and make a firm commitment to a great price. Mark Kropp was my salesman, and he did a superb job assuring me that the "out the door" price he gave me verbally would be final price when I showed up. The price was also the best one I received from the 8 different dealers I checked. Sure enough, when I arrived, Mark had everything set....just as he said. The GM, Abe Mustafa, stayed late on the night we bought the car because he knew I was concerned about them pulling a bait and switch too. As soon as I walked in the door, Abe met me, assured me that he personally approved the pricing and that Mark had everything set. Mark knew that we preferred gray over the color they had in stock. While we were enroute to purchase the Maxima, Mark called me to tell me that they just received a gray one. If I wanted that one, he would have it unloaded and ready when we arrived. It was just unbelievable relative to my other experiences. Bryan Murphy, the finance manager, helped insure that we had a speedy and accurate purchase experience. He did much of the paperwork without me present so all we had to do was go through it, verify everything, and sign off. Totally smooth! Finally, Mark did a thorough check out where he walked us through all of the advanced features of the vehicle. He even called a couple days later to see if any questions had come up. Now that's customer service! The bottom line is that M'Lady Nissan, Mark, Abe, and Bryan operate with true integrity. They sold the car for the VERY LOW price that was advertised, and the customer service was outstanding. If you're looking for an HONEST dealer, call Mark and buy your car from M'Lady! Ed S.

From the internet quote to the final purchase, this place doesn't mess around. I received my internet quote within minutes and then a call from a salesman within the half an hour. When I arrived at the dealership, Gino my salesman was to the point but very helpful. Without hesitation I test drove several cars at my request until I found what I wanted. The selection at Mlady Nissan is outstanding considering its the end of the year for the 2010 model and if they didn't have it, Gino was willing to find it. As any negotiation process can be tiresome and frustrating, I didnt have to put up much of a fight. I explained to Gino my situtation and where I needed to be at for a payment. Obviously I had did my homework via the internet and knew how low they could go which helped me determine if Gino was honest and willing to make the sale. The end result is I got a great deal after little negotiation and the wait for the paper work was about an hour. To me and based on past purchases, I thought the overall wait was short. When it came to dealing with the Finance Manager John, he was helpful, honest and truthful and didn't try to sell me a bunch of extras. John explained every document I signed and didnt pressure me to sign things quick. Overall, if your looking for a Nissan without the hassle, this is the place to go. I definately will be back after my lease is up!
  • M'Lady Nissan.

    5 out of 5 starsby dshort23 on 05/25/2010

I just wanted to let everyone know that I began looking for a 2010 Nissan Maxima earlier this month. Every time I have bought a car it has been a horrible, slimy process. Sure enough I went to my two local Nissan dealers, where without fail my perception was reinforced. Luckily I wasn't impressed by the staff, dealer, nor the limited inventory. Luckily I took a drive out to M'Lady Nissan. Their huge inventory had plenty of selection, even for me. I was greeted by a professional sales team who got me in and out with a brand new car in less than one hour. I picked out the car, they gave me a better price than the two other dealers without me having to walk out the door. I recommend that if you're in the market for a car, GO TO M'LADY NISSAN. They went above and beyond the call of duty! Make sure you look up Abe Mustafa at M'Lady Nissan! He will get to the point and get you driving!

I just bought my Altima from them this evening. Patti sent me a email quote, answered all questions I had through email, then I walked in there tonight. I was undecided on the color I wanted, but that didnt matter. The had a sea of Altima's on their lot. Ray Slivka helped me through the going over of options and colors, letting me drive the car. I I picked the one I wanted and we went in. The internet quote I had is what I paid. I went into finance with my check from my bank. My bank had given me 5.49% financing. I met Bryan Murphy in the finance office and he was able to get me 0.9%. I will be telling everyone I know about M'Lady Nissan for months to come.

I have been going to m'lady nissan for years. I have bought my last 6 cars through Geno Lefever. I have had all of my cars serviced through Joe Dibella, They are both wonderful people. The last car I bought over the winter, my daughters camry, was just fixed today. I bought it in the winter and I never tested the A/C. I turned it on for the first time this week and it didn't work. I called up Geno and he had me bring the car in. He had the service department fix it with no questions asked and no money out of pocket. Geno Lefever goes above and beyond.
  • Phantom Fees, Fluctuating Pricing, and no upfront answers. What is ++++?

2 out of 5 starsby scambuster on 11/29/2009

I've read some of the previous reviews regarding M'Lady Nissan and while some were good, there were enough red flags in the negative reviews that I should of known better then to give them a shot. Based off of their internet pricing for a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser at $5,990, I was totally shocked when their actual total came to $7,700!!! Sales tax cannot account for even $500. Then there was a "maintenence fee" that was $700 that they of course failed to mention in the internet listing. On top of that their offer had a ++++ sign under the $700 fee. What does that mean? Where is a true itemization of these expenses? We are looking at a $1300 difference in realistic fees and their crazy phantom fees. When asked, the salesman couldn't give us a straight answer on what ++++ actuallly meant. These guys are [violative content deleted] plain and simple. If you are on a budget and think the prices look great don't fall for it. They are just trying to get you in the door so they can take you for as much as they can. These guys don't deserve to be in business so please do yourself and the rest of us a favor and don't give them yours.

Should have read the local reviews here before shopping there. Same things happened. Inanely low, laughable trade in value given, numbers on supposedly 'signed' deals changing, it seems they have the idea if they keep you hostage long enouh, you will give into the ripoff. 1st, the prices advertised are way above high blue book, and they try and give you less than auction value on a trade, even a Nissan product. It will be a total time waster sitting there while they chnage numebrs, renege on agreements, and try and team up on you with laughably stereotypical high pressure tactics. Be prepared to sit for hours, sign deals left and right only to have them thrown back at you as if you have no clue what your or their vehicles are worth. This place should be avoided at all costs. Much better dealers in the area who are ethical and better priced.

Looking online for cars, and saw one for my daughter. I have 4 vehicles, and one Infiniti Q45 with low miles, rated everyhwere at 8,000 dollars. They returned my call, said they would LOVE to have my car on their lot, after all they make Infiniti. So I run over there with my car to look at a smaller more gas efficient one and cheaper to maintain for a young single mother. Now, I heard from 3 different dealers in the area when i told them i had another car to look at before makiing my decision, and they ALL told me to try different dealers in the area as that M'Lady dealership was well known for skinning their victims. But i decifde to give them the benefit of the doubt. They have a car I finally see that will suit her needs, and at this time mind you...I already have 4 other quotes from local dealers for trades, so I know exactly what the car is worth for trade value. I also tell this to Erica the sale person, even offering the quotes and numbers of those dealers if they didn't believe me. I also said i have another appointment at a different dealer that afternoon to look at a couple of cars, and they already saw my vehicle and quoted me the trade value. I tell her, please do not waste my time, if you cannot give me that value, I can shake hands and leave. I am assured it will no problem, and maybe I can even get more. So I stay while she gets the paperwork. Mind you, AFTER taking 2 hours of my time to get to this point. Now, I also see a newer Infinti on the lot that i figured after this deal, would take my BMW and trade in for as well, mind you ALL cash deal here, no financing. And I was thinking I could make this deal, and come back a few days later and upgrade an older Audi I have. She comes back with a trade vlaue that would be in the 3k range, 2 thousand dollars BELOW everyone else and BELOW book value for trades! Now mind you, this is top of the line luxury car here in perf3ect condition. I look at her, get up and start walking out. She says hold on, if she can meet that trade value, iwll the deal be done? I said of course, i told yout his hours ago! So she comes back with the 'manager' who is a smarmy car dealer type with greased hair and smelling of horse trader. He says " I can get this car all day long at an auction for this cost', i asked him if all his used cards were bought from auction, after all it is a large dealership. He says no, all trade ins. So I tell him go buy one at the auction, and great luck finding one with low miles and 1 owner, as the local dealers had that same car listed with 150-200k miles and still selling them for 7-9k! I start walking again. They follow me through the lobby saying ;Gee, we would hate to lose a customer over this, can we work out a deal?" I keep telling them the deal WAS made, they reneged twice, and if they were gonna rape me over this deal, I cetrianly was NOT going to come in and buy the Infiniti either! I said i have an audi worth 9k, what will you give me on trade...1500? I said you ahd your chance, do NOT say another word unless you go back to the original deal and they had until the time I walked out the door to make that decision. The saleswoman threw her hands in the air and spun around, Smarmy Boy was trying to shake my hand as i walked out asking me to come back and look at the other car! I looked at him and informed him everyone in the area told me they would bend me if I went in, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and everyone was shown to be in harmony with the truth. I told him NEVER to expect me anywhere in that place again, he just shrugged as I walked out the door. I told him while he sat there, that for the handful of dollars he was tring to rob me of, it would cost thousands in lost business from myself and anyone I could tell about this horrid experience. I was LIED to several times, MISLED, and then treated like an idiot! I am an engineer, a columnsit, and a radio host, and fully intend to FULLY review them with local businesses as I do f
  • They Lost my business forever...

1.4 out of 5 starsby fischman on 08/22/2009

They lied on the phone before i got there. Refused to honor their pricing online, lied about my trade in, and changed the pricing twice AFTER having negotiated the price. Watch the finance manager, they add hundreds of dollars of needless fees into the contract, and twice during negotiations they changed the trade in value to less than auction value! And that was on a 50k Nissan car! They do the classic bait and switch on you with pricing. Then, when you contest them on it, they double and triple team you with sales managers and display the typical stereotype of a sneaky car dealer while trying high pressure tactics that amount to insulting your intelligence and pushing very hard to make you sign a deal they have already told you was a done deal. Looking here and speaking with others in the area, this seems common practice for them. One would think a large Nissan dealership would not drop to the level of a corner lot seller who changes names and licenses year to year. They have a horrid reputation locally, even among other car dealerships. However, there are other very reputable dealerships in the area who are more honest and willing to tell the truth. I went henceforth to another local dealer hwo pulled the car history, and also showed me all the work they performed on the car when they took it in. They gave me above the trade value of M'Lady ( as did 4 other dealers in the area when i was shopping ) by over twice the dollar amount! Plus when I found a car I liked, they stuck to their deal I signed, and unlike M'Lady who changed it several times...sold a car that day. In this world where people are having very hard times, I find it amazing how an unethical dealership can even remain in business. However, there seemed to be only 2 customers on the lot that day, and the other area dealerships had at least a dozen. So I suppose the reputation they have is already hitting their wallets. I walked out that day after explaining they had not only insulted my intelligence, but lied several times. I have also informed a few people I know who are in the area looking for cars, to drive as fast as they can past this dealership. In the past few days of sharing my expoeriences, 2 people and 3 dealerships have already told me " You didn't know that baout M'Lady?" I did not then, but I certainly do now. Take heed, they could hace certainly made tons of money of a more gullible person with their slight of hand techniques.

This dealer lies stalls and changes the deal at every turn. They play little games like having you sign your name on blank paper to show good faith, they lost my trade- in keys so I couldn't leave, had to threaten to call police to get them back, they changed the price on the final paperwork, added in extras I didn't want. Promised to fix a small problems but months later still haven't gotten the replacement parts in. I made a mistake buying from this dealer, the only thing worse would be using their service dept.
    • Just wrote a review on these people. So it seems they like to change the pricing on everyone. Must be the Internal Training they give to employees on 'How to thoroughly shaft a customer in 3 easy steps'. Fullyy agree with you here. MANY better dealerships like the Honda dealer at 31 and 176. I had a great experience with them after leaving M'Lady bent over.

    • my comment would be to watch the finance officer, Bryan Murphy. he'll just let you sign the papers w/o explaining but, emphasizing the extended warranties he offers to you, of course, right? Make sure to check the itemized items on the charges, i did not. Beware!

Went to this dealership to get a price on a new 09 Maxima. I had already received quotes from other dealers. They beat the other prices , but part of what I was negotiating was an extended warranty. I asked for a Nissan bumper to bumper zero deductible warranty for a specific price, and they finally agreed. Once we were in the finance office signing the paperwork, they tried to switch the warranty to a much lower grade warranty, then tried to include a deductible. I declined and told them to cancel the deal, they then upgraded the warranty and told me it was the best that Nissan offered. When they gave me the warranty contract to sign, I noticed what appeared to be a better warranty, the preferred plan vs the gold, I had previously purchased an 07 Altima from another dealer that I was trading in, and had also purchased an extended warranty on that vehicle and the preferred sounded familiar, so I asked for that warranty. I was told that the preferred was a maintenance plan and not a warranty, I then asked for a brochure so I could compare them, and they said they didnt have any, that they usually did not sell Nissan warranties, but the finance manager assured me that I was getting the best warranty, so I went ahead with the purchase. It was close to closing time so by the time I got home the dealership was closed, but I pulled out my paperwork for my Altima, and sure enough the preferred was a more comprehensive warranty, and NOT a maintenance plan. I called the dealership first thing the next morning and spoke with the finance manager, he said he didnt realize the difference and would correct the warranty and send me a copy of the correction. Well several phone calls and 2 weeks later, I never received the corrected warranty, and the dealership wants $380 to make the changes, even though they lied about the warranty. Do not trust this dealership.
    • they lied to me 4 times, I ended up walking out on them and never purchasing the two cars I went in to get.

I just wanted to let other car buyers know about my experience at M'lady nissan. I too checked all of the reviews before purchasing my Murano, and decided to go with M'Lady Nissan. I received a quote online within 5 minutes of hitting the send button on the request. I emailed my questions back about inventory available. I recieved a response back immeditly. I went into the dealership that night. The price I quote was what I paid. I was in the dealership for one and a half hours. This was the quickest visit to any dealership that I have ever had. I dealt with the finance manager, Brian Murphy, the General Manager, Mir Ali, Internet Manager Patty Scipione, and salesperson Geno Lefever and I have only good things to say about all four. No one lied, no one played "salesman" tricks. They were all up front and honest and respectable people. I have since had a sunroof installed in my Murano. It took two days. I was given a free vehicle to drive and it come back looking even cleaner then I had left it. When I have picked up my previous vehicle from the Chevy service department it was always left dirty and with footprints. There was none of this there. Eric Esmits, Mark Feld and Sal were all excellent to deal with.
