Carlos was amazing and helped me get into my truck that I wanted. He went above and beyond to work with me and answer all my questions and concerns. This is my 5th vehicle with Ferman Chevrolet.

Do not do business with this dealership!
by frogdo on 01/15/2010Ferman Chevrolet does not honor legally binding lease contracts! After the end of our lease, we had the option to buy-out the contract and own the car. The lease contract specified this plainly and even gave the exact payoff amount. They… refused to honor the contract and wouldn't even return calls or try to help in any way. Their excuse was that it wasn't beneficial enough for THEM. This business does not care about their customers at all. Take your business elsewhere and avoid thier lousy business. We finally (after a month of work) resolved our case through another dealership.2007 Equinox issues
by rgibbons3 on 07/12/2008I bought a new 2007 Equinox from Ferman Chevy in Brandon. I recently took it in for service on a recall. At this time I had them look at my AC as it will blow warm air on occassion. Not a big problem but is annoying. Additionally, the AC… Airflow Surges. I have had it in 5 times in thelast month. Each time they replaced a part and said it was fixed and it wasn't. I opened an incident with GM and they were my interface with Ferman. To make a long story short GM closed the issue because according to ferman the testing showed everything to be in spec Yet the Service Manager rode with me and acknowledged that in his personal opinion that it wasnt right but he had no idea why it was doing it or how to fix it. I'm upset that either the Service Mgr didnt tell the GM rep of his opinion or if he did GM doesnt care to fix it. They say its normal, but all the yrs I have never heard any ac surge the ways this one does. As I told GM I've bought my last GM vehicle. If your thinking of buying one beware. I took the shuttle home and one of the guys was there for the same reason, It was his second trip and my 4th at that time.I hate the way this car dealer operates.
by leeotampa on 10/19/2007They never actually tell you what you are paying for the car or getting on your trade in. They are very slick and we feel like we overpaid for both our cars we got from them. They just keep crunching numbers, until you give in. Go in on… a special, they tell you right away, they don't honor it anymore.Ferman doesn't honor its advertising
by steve06 on 07/29/2012updated 06/01/2025Followed the rules which their Clear the Lot Model Year-End Event - negotiated the best price for a new Chevy Cruze - was the first to take delivery on the 27 July - they refused to give the gift of iPad stating they needed to incorporate… it into the price of the vehicle - very misleading advertisement - no integrity and just wrong!Senior Citizens Stay Away!
by al24 on 04/05/2013updated 06/01/2025I bought a used car from them in June 2012. I am a retired senior citizen. They discovered that I had just moved to the area, was mentally tired and a little depressed. They negotiated a fair price with me and then made me wait in their… waiting room for over an hour. Then they presented me with the order, which to my discredit I did not read closely. It included a $677 charge for refurbishing the used car, which was not mentioned during negotiations. After I discovered the charge, too late, they refused to do anything about it. I have since purchased a new battery, 4 new tires and gotten the turn signal fixed. They appear to be cunning and think nothing of cheating a senior citizen. Be very careful when you try to by a used car from them.Ferman Chevrolet of Brandon very poor service
by 3y3spy on 10/09/2012updated 06/01/2025My son has a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. The car had one owner prior to me buying it for my son. I bought the car directly from the owner in October 2011. In January 2012 my son took the car to Ferman Chevrolet of Brandon complaining… that the car was drinking coolant. Upon conclusion the inspection uncovered that the lower intake manifold and the gaskets required replacement. Ferman provided a quote for approximately $900. After shopping around I found a shop in Largo to perform the repair for a lower fee. Once the lower intake manifold was replaced we didn't experience any more major issues until late September 2012. My son began to smell fuel while the ignition was on and when the ignition wasn't on. In addition, the traction light continued to display. He made an appointment with Ferman Chevrolet of Brandon for October 5, 2012 @ 8:00a.m. When my son took the car to Ferman it was discovered that the fuel line seal was torn and leaking fuel and recommended replacement of both harnesses. The service advisory advised my son of the findings and my son consented to the repair and/or replacement to resolve the fuel leakage, and declined replacement of the harnesses. At this time the service advisor advised him of the free 27 point inspection being offered throughout the month of October. My son accepted that offer, who wouldn't? At any rate, Ferman performed the repair requested. The service costs were $478.23, which wasn't a big deal, however 13 miles and 9 hours later the car began to overheat and antifreeze was all over the engine. The very next morning I took the car back to Ferman and after inspecting the car I was told the heater hose fittings needed replacing. At this point I asked why this wasn't discovered during their 27 point inspection Ferman full circle inspection (according to item #3 on the invoice) and I then asked what the 27-point inspection consisted of? I was told the 27 point inspection was a walk around the automobile, and did not cover the inspection of the heater hose fittings. I was then quoted an approximate price of $200 and some dollars, (close to $300) and offered 10% off. I declined and brought the car home. I called another Ferman Chevrolet and made an inquiry on the 27-point inspection and was provided with a list, within that list was hoses, turn signals, tires, brakes etc. Not only was the heater hose fitting not reported as damaged or cracked, the front left turn signal bulb being blown wasn't reported either, so much for the walk around. Why offer a service if the intent is not to provide it. I will never take another to Ferman Chevrolet of Brandon ever again and I will be contacting consumer protection and the BBB.Doesn't honor advertised price
by ethanthomas on 11/27/2013updated 06/01/2025Called about a price for a 2104 Cruze I saw online. Actually, all of their advertised Cruze's were marked down like the one I was interested in. I was out of town, so I called to get the purchase process going. Well, the price was a… mistake. They would not sell it at the price that was advertised (about $1100 less than other dealerships). OK, I can understand a mistake being made, but at least honor the price to me because they surely went in and fixed the prices on 35+ Cruze's ( and probably all of their other models) after I inquired about the car. This surely saved them a whole boatload of money. So, since they chose not to honor the advertised price, I say look elsewhere. They could have sold one car at a loss and avoided some bad publicity. Because really, they did me wrong.Dishonest
by tactechmech on 04/22/2014updated 06/01/2025The most dishonest car dealership I have ever experienced! Lies, inflated pricing, bogus financing offers...
