  • Beware – Broken Promises & Terrible Customer Service

    I had an awful experience at Mercedes of Pompano dealership and would advise others to stay away. I purchased a car under the promise that certain issues would be fixed, but they never were. My calls were ignored, and I had to physically visit the dealership multiple times just to get any answers. The car I purchased does not meet Mercedes-Benz standards, and when I tried to return it within their 5-day return policy, I was assured by Joey, the sales manager, that they would fix the issues and make things right. However, I was told I had to come back. When I came back after no return calls or emails, I left my car there for five days, and during that time, I couldn’t get anyone to tell me what was being done. I had to personally go to the dealership just to find out when I would get my car back. No one could tell me what was done in the 5 days it was there. I actually walked the lot and found it unlocked, with my personal items in it, in the used car section. The biggest safety issue was a damaged windshield, which Joey had promised would be replaced. While dealing with them, my girlfriend even purchased a brand-new car from them, and once that deal was finalized, I was suddenly told that they wouldn’t replace my windshield after all. Despite multiple emails, calls, and visits, no one has returned my messages or taken responsibility for their promises. I has a few other issues as well that they couldnt find. This dealership only cares about taking your money—once the sale is done, they become cold, unresponsive, and go back on their word. If I had known they would break their promises, I would have returned the car within the allowed time. Be very careful when dealing with them!

  • Just bad all away around

    Went in for a B service and found myself with a sensor that was off the bumper that never worked correctly. The car made sudden stops many times I had the car and brought it in twice for it only to hear nothing was wrong with it. The sensor was glued back in place and then found out it was functioning. After that was replaced I drove out of your dealership only to find that my brake pad had dislodged a piece onto the rotor and all of it had to be fixed, both sides! I was told $1200 to remove both and when I asked why I was paying for it when told there was nothing wrong with the brakes I received an it has to be changed eventually. Everything is working now and I did have a loaner for almost two weeks but I still question how I paid $800 for brakes that I had no control over when the car was in your shop.

  • Prolonged Delays and Poor Service at Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Service Dept

    I recently had a less than satisfactory experience with the Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Service Department, specifically dealing with Haden Smith. Here’s a detailed account of my experience: In mid-March, I brought my vehicle in for a relatively straightforward service. What was supposed to be a simple one-day fix turned into a frustrating ordeal lasting almost four months. Despite my patience and multiple follow-ups, communication from Haden and the service team was sporadic and uninformative. Throughout this period, I was repeatedly assured that the necessary parts, specifically a new steering wheel, would arrive within one to two weeks. However, it took almost four months for the part to arrive. Even then, communication was poor and updates were scarce. Simple updates like “We’re delayed” or “It’s still not here, but we’re on it” would have made a huge difference in managing expectations and reducing frustration. When the steering wheel finally arrived and was replaced, I discovered that the new steering wheel had a couple of dents. I have taken pictures as proof, should there be any attempt to suggest these issues were caused by me. The quality of service was far below what one would expect from a brand like Mercedes-Benz. Dealing with Haden Smith was particularly unpleasant. His approach and attitude were far from what I would expect from a customer service representative at Mercedes-Benz. His responses were often delayed, and when he did respond, it felt dismissive of the concerns and frustrations I was experiencing. I even included the Service Manager, Joe Viola, and the General Manager, Joe Rey, in my communications, but neither of them reached out or seemed to care. That tells you everything about how this place is run. I was trying to avoid writing this review because I had an amazing experience with the sales department at Mercedes-Benz of Pompano. The sales team was professional, responsive, and made the buying process a pleasure. This positive experience made me try to have as much patience as I could with the service department. However, if I can save someone from having to go through all of these issues, the better. Avoid this location if possible. Overall, my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Pompano Service Department has been extremely disappointing. As a valued customer who has invested significantly in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, I expected timely, efficient, and high-quality service, none of which were delivered in this case. The prolonged delays, lack of communication, and subpar quality of service have left a lasting negative impression. I sincerely hope the dealership takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary improvements to their service and customer care. Customers deserve better communication, prompt service, and quality workmanship consistent with the Mercedes-Benz brand.

  • Easy honest Sales Process & Blackhole with everything else

    Whenever I embark on buying a car, there is always trepidation about being pressured into buying things I don't need and dealing with pushy sales tactics. However, my experience with [Dealer Name] was refreshingly different. The team was straightforward and there was no pressure at all. I felt good about buying a car from them. The finance guy was professional, but he never sent me the electronic paperwork. It's now been a month and despite several attempts to get it, I have received nothing. Additionally, the extra key I was promised arrived unexpectedly via first-class mail with no prior communication. Lastly, I was told to bring any issues with the vehicle to their attention immediately. We encountered a minor issue and I've been trying to get a service advisor to call me back, but to no avail. In short, the upfront experience was great, but the follow-through has been horrible.

  • Worst dealership ever!

    This dealership turned a positive into a negative, the purchase of a used Porsche 911. They said don’t worry we sent it to Porsche next door to have it checked out. I doubt they did. The entire purchase process was tedious and took too long over 2 hours for a cash deal. Their dealer fees are the highest in Florida. Then try to upsell you with costly extras. I started driving home and before I arrived the car overheated so I couldn’t drive it anymore. Good thing Porsche checked it. I called the dealership and demanded they pick up the car with a flatbed that would have a loaner car. 2 hours later the flatbed came with no loaner. I had to beg the driver for a ride home. 4 days later they drove my car back to me. By the way they only gave me 1 key and said they’d get the second from the owner who was on vacation. Who takes in a car without both keys. Now they deny they will get me a second key. Go on the website and there are names of the general manager, sales manager but no contact information. I have never seen that. Call and ask for them you can’t speak to them. Leave a message they never return a call. I’ve been buying cars for many years in Florida, Connecticut and New York. This is without a doubt the worst dealership. Customer Service means nothing to them.

  • Terrible Service and Overly Expensive

    When you buy a Mercedes, I guess you plan on paying more for service. I own (bought new) 2 Mercedes in LA and began having them serviced at Mercedes of Pompano. One is a C350E plug in hybrid. In February the hybrid system stopped working. They replaced the auxiliary battery. A month later the battery mulfuncrion light started coming on. The dealership can’t figure out what it is but they want $2,000 to run diagnostics and if it is the hybrid battery $27,000 to replace it. The warranty on the battery is 6 years or 50k miles. I bought the care late April 2018 and it has 47,000 miles. Despite having a warranty book that came with the car that says the battery is warranty for 6 years or 50,900 miles, the dealership says that the battery warranty was only 5 years. They recommend I just sell the car. Am I supposed to lie to someone and sell them a problem car - that shows the ethics of this dealer. Never going back to them and will be selling both Mercedes (with full disclosure).

    Three years ago, I visited Mercedes-Benz of Fort Lauderdale with high hopes of fulfilling my dream of owning one of their luxury vehicles. Despite my diligent efforts to maintain a pristine credit score and clear any outstanding debts, the experience at the dealership left much to be desired. Regrettably, the staff seemed disinterested and my aspirations were met with indifference. Departing the premises that day, I couldn't help but feel disappointed, with tears welling up as a result. However, fate intervened when we decided to visit the BMW dealership on our way home. There, I found solace in a 2021 5 Series, marking a triumphant moment amidst the initial setback. Fast forward to two weeks ago, as my lease approached its end, the desire to own a Mercedes-Benz persisted. With cautious optimism, I entered Mercedes-Benz of Pompano, hoping for a more fulfilling experience. Welcomed by Harold's professional demeanor, I felt immediately at ease. Exploring various options, my attention was drawn to the EQE SUV. Despite reservations stemming from my partner's Tesla Model X ownership, Harold patiently addressed our concerns, providing insightful guidance on the vehicle's features and performance. Returning to his desk to discuss the financial aspects, we were pleasantly surprised by the arrival of Marjine. Her friendly and genuine approach transformed the transaction into a memorable interaction, far removed from the typical high-pressure sales environment. Marjine's patient explanations of incentives and benefits, including those linked to my AMEX Platinum card, further enhanced the allure of Mercedes-Benz ownership. Inspired by Marjine's guidance, I made the decision to become the proud owner of the EQE SUV that day, despite the remaining months on my BMW lease.   • Buying a pre owned car

    They did a good job on the paint and leather that were damaged but they didn’t know nothing about the car saying it wasn’t their brand. This 50k BMW car shouldn’t have been sold by a Mercedes dealer and since they are part of AutoNation it should have been transferred to a AutoNation BMW dealer. This way I would have received all the needed information about it.

    A great dealership is only as good as it's follow-up service. All my maintenance and even minor issues have been handled without issue. I personally used Brad Markoff whom I think is the best service writer I've ever had and this is my 4th German car.

    Appointment to see vehicle was made quickly and in a very short period of time. When the vehicle was brought over, the problem was diagnosed quickly. Repair (tire replacement) was performed effectively and efficiently and vehicle was ready in the timeframe promised.
