Ye Ol' bait & switch
by Jeffrey on 05/31/2024Well, the day that I viewed and purchased the vehicle was the vehicle that I picked up the following day, HOWEVER, with the exception being that the original rims had been switched out to a lower grade "standard" rims without my consent and… the removal of the weather shield floor mats! Additionally, the detailing that was to occur really amounted to a car wash. They didn't clean the inside doors, etc. Unfortunately, I continue to have problems with the Ft. Myers Mercedes Benz dealership and service department. Not sure why I just didn't follow my initial instincts and go down the street to Genesis.Jeffrey, we regret to hear that you had this experience with us. So easy

He was very professional and I felt very comfortable making the purchase. The process after leaving Gary was a little long and… took a lot longer than I expected. He tried to speed it up but it didn’t seem like anyone was in a hurry. Bad Deal
by Ljerome on 03/14/2024I viewed a vehicle online at this store. I went in to test drive and look at the vehicle, (2015 GL450), 64000 miles on the vehicle. I test drove the vehicle, the ride was good. I was told by the sales person (John), that it had to be… inspected by the dealer. Also, when I first looked at the vehicle the sales person said that two tires would be replaced. I asked if they would do an inspection that would qualify for Mercedes extended warranty. He said yes, and said he would contact me when it was done. I was contacted a few days later. I went back to purchase. I was told that the inspection was done and there were no issues found during the inspection. He then said I should not have said that they are not going to replace the tires. They did not replace two tires. He did show me a tire measure guage, that showed the tread was still somewhat decent, but not real good. It was in the yellow. I made the purchase. A week later, I had another inspection done because I was planning to drive out of town. After a diagnostic inspection that cost me over $200.00 I was told that the motor and transmission mounts were bad. To repair this was over $2000.00, after I had been told that the dealer inspection returned not issues. Also, I was told that the wiper blades were replaced before I purchased. The wiper on the passenger side is warped, the center does not touch the glass. So either they did not replace the wipers blades, or they installed a bad wiper blade. I did not expect the vehicle to be perfect, but certainly did not expect to have a repair of this amount just a few days after purchasing. I think that is very bad business. I will never ever go back to this store!Ljerome, we regret to hear that you had this experience with us. Incompetent Service
by Mike S on 02/22/2024We brought out GL to Mercedes Benz of Fort Myers for the emission recall campaign and was told it would take a week. After two weeks we went to pick it up and it was making a noise that the service foreman verified and they kept it another… week to find they left a bolt out. Went to pick it up again and there was a harsh vibration which the foreman verified and they kept it another week to adjust the new exhaust. Finally picked it up to discover the front grille was broken as was the mount for the grille and the right headlight. They also put a nick on the front left wheel rim and one of the clamps for the under hood fuse box was missing as was three push rivets and two 10mm screws from the undercarriage. The dealership provided a new grille but refused to fix or replace anything else. I ordered parts from another MB dealership and ring be returning to MB of Fort Myers.Mike, we regret to hear that you had this experience with us. Damaged center console 3 times in car wash

As an individual who values hard work and takes pride in my possessions, I make an effort to keep them in excellent condition. I even keep a microfiber cloth in my car to ensure it… stays free from dust, regularly wiping it down. Unfortunately, on three separate occasions, this dealership has vandalized my vehicle I purchased brand new. The fact that I trusted them for the third time only to face disappointment leaves me incredibly upset. To avoid any further misunderstandings, I took photographs of my car before leaving it in their care. Ironically, they managed to damage my center console during their supposedly complementary car wash and vacuum, exactly one year after the last incident, even though it was noted in their computer system not to have my car vacuumed or washed because of the two prior incidents. It is disheartening to realize that you pay these individuals and entrust them with your property, only for them to destroy it. The saddest part of my experience is that the dealership has gone as far as accusing me of intentionally scratching my own car in an attempt to humiliate me. Such behavior from the people working at the dealership reflects poorly on their character, and I can no longer have faith in them to handle the maintenance of my car. During a conversation with their Service Manager, Nick, he made it clear that he would only fix my console if I left him a five-star review and called and texted me repeatedly pleading with me to change my existing review to a five star review. When I refused his request, I was informed that they would not repair it for a third time, as they had already replaced it twice due to their own negligence during the complementary car wash. Frustrated, I brought this matter to the attention of their manager, Todd Voggel. Despite already expressing my desire to never return to their location again to Nick, Todd thought he could hurt me by stating that I am no longer considered a client. Todd, I believe your dealership has tarnished the Mercedes name and that you do not take pride in your job or your dealership. It is ironic how your attempts to manipulate reviews, both through your own and your employees' fabricated five-star ratings, fail to erase the narratives at your dealership. My experience with your establishment has been tarnished not once, but three times. I have included below time-stamped and dated photos depicting the condition of my console when I dropped it off at your dealership and when I picked it up. I would never recommend your dealership to any of my family, friends or clients.Hi Angela, we can assure you that we do not find this type of behavior acceptable, and we would like to address the situation you have described. Unfortunately I was unable to purchase the car of choice at the time but without question the dealership and Glen are professional, thoughtful and… courteous and have always been helpful with me! Tricky Trade in and Lease

I'm just alerting all Leasing Customer about this method to take your money. I was Lease customer for almost 3… years, then a dealer Seller called promising great prices, and nothing to worry about if I trade in my old car. I did lease another Mercedes then the BIG SURPRISE ARRIVED!! A letter came from Mercedes Benz came with almost $ 3,000 dollars as a result of post lease inspections and excess of wear. We went to the dealer looking for an explanation and the Manager was expecting us very defensive, unprofessional talking to us in middle of a hallway in front all Dealership staff.He treated us horribly in a very sarcastic way. " You needed to read the disclaimers from previous lease made 3 years ago, that stated that you will be charged post lease" I told them that I will call to customer service and complain , he again said " Have a good day ". They made us to look like we did not have any rights, just go away and pay what you owe. We were very upset because the seller promised that will be a trade in, and never told us about post lease inspection. I spent the whole day crying out of frustration because of his behavior. We have been leasing cars for more than 12 years and never experienced a situation like this with any other dealer. Please make sure, when you do a trade in for your old lease to get in writing that you won't get any post Lease inspections. We will never put a feet in that place againHi Lisandra, I’m sorry to hear of this experience you had with us. When you leased your new Mercedes from us, Mercedes Financial waived your last three remaining payments and we didn’t use your previous lease as any sort of trade in. We didn’t appraise it nor listed it on any paperwork. We informed Mercedes Financial that you turned your lease in and re-leased a new car through them. As far as you not owing anything on your car regarding the deal, that is all true. The remaining payments were taken care of. The condition of your car is something MBF determines and after picking the car up and inspected for excess wear and tear, you were billed for the damages. Most of the damage appears to be interior damages to the trim, door panels and such that need to be replaced according to MBF. I know you visited us and discussed the bill you received and I would like to talk with you further about this. Between MBF, myself and you I’m sure we can come to some happy resolution. by roly1202 on 11/01/2016Unfortunately i thought I didn't have any other options than to take my 2008 sprinter to the Mercedes dealer because it had a software error, but first they didn't know what was wrong with the vehicle and then they told me that they… needed to start replacing a body control module which cost $480.00 dollars and then maybe it needed to replace the Ignition switch and this was going to be another $800.00 dollars all plus labor, at this point they didn't convince me at all so i took it out of the dealer after paying $164.00 dollars for no results. After doing some calls i found a honest mechanic in Naples that only works in Mercedes he connected his computer to my vehicle and in less than 30 minutes problem was resolved in wish i had not to replace no parts at all. DO NOT TRUST THIS MERCEDES DEALER they only want to make a lot of money in selling you parts even if your vehicle has only a blown fuse.5 star

Though I had been told when I scheduled the appointment that there was no loaner… vehicle available, Cody quickly corrected that. He has been diligent in following up to make sure that I was satisfied and that the car was performing as expected. I have recommended Cody and the dealership to several friehds.Excellent service
