  • Great service

We had a great experience with Andrew W. at Flatirons Suburu. He was extremely helpful and enjoyable to work with. My family will be buying another Subaru from Andrew soon. Absolutely no pressure from him. Just good solid information and follow up to make sure we were still happy with our Impreza.
  • Wonderful Experience

    5 out of 5 starsby impressed3 on 06/27/2014

We recently shopped around the Front Range and ended up buying a new Outback at Flatirons Subaru. This dealership is unlike any other! Our salesperson, Xavier, was relaxed, knowledgable, and sincerely wanted to help us make the best purchase for our lifestyle. It was a pleasure working with him, and definitely made a big difference in our buying experience. The finance team there was also spectacular! Shea and Kerrie were so helpful in getting us the perfect loan, explaining all of the contracts, and even sending us off with great financial advice for the future. Overall, everyone we interacted with at this dealership sincerely cared about us and worked hard to give us the best experience possible.
  • Fastest, easiest car buying experience

    5 out of 5 starsby DonOll22 on 06/26/2014

Thanks to our Salesperson at Flatirons Subaru, Jeremy P., this was by far the fastest and easiest new car buying experience we have ever had. Everything was done by the internet and email and when the car was ready, we went into the dealership, signed the paperwork and Jeremy handed our new Subaru Forester to us and we were on our way. The service was excellent, the facility was very clean and comfortable. It doesn't get any better than that!
  • No Sales Pressure

5 out of 5 starsby MOMBIRTHDAY on 06/24/2014

I came in contact with Jeremy P. on the internet. For me buying a new car was a big commitment and it took 2 months in my decision making. Jeremy was patient, was quick to respond to my email questions, and not pushy at all. I appreciated his honesty. Thanks Jeremy!
  • Shady dealing

1 out of 5 starsby JPenalver on 06/19/2014

I test drove a used Volvo S40. A week later I called back and negotiated a price with my salesman from $12,200 to $11,500. They wouldn't take a deposit because it would be a few days before I could close the deal. I put financing in place, called back the next day and was told they sold the car. Now, a week later, they have it back up for sale for the $12,200 price. It appears that someone in management said the $11,500 price was too low and to not sell it and lied to me, telling me it was sold. No, I did not have anything in writing, but this was pretty shady. I bought somewhere else and will not go back to that dealership.

Ryan K. provided great service when I brought my Subaru in for an oil change. He answered all my questions, was patient, had good people skills and went out of his way to help me plan for possible upcoming expenses. Well done Ryan!
  • Great Experince

Really terrific experience with Bill K. at Flatirons Subaru. He cut through all the typical car-buying craziness and honed in on exactly what I needed. Then gave me an excellent price.
  • Our fourth Subaru

5 out of 5 starsby JECOR on 06/12/2014

We are so pleased with our sales person, Jon Eric F. This was the second Subaru we purchased from him. He is the warmest and best sales person we have ever dealt with. In addition, he is very knowledgable and a pleasure to work with.
  • Quite the Contrary!

I recently purchased a used Subaru Outback from Flatirons Subaru. My experience was delightful! I was looking for a very specific color, and they had it! My sales person worked with my busy work schedule and even came in on his day off to do the deal. I can be a picky customer and I appreciate the patience I received. Thank you, and I will be back to service my Outback for my first oil change. - Stacy V.
  • Inept at best-dishonest...perhaps.

Found a used car I was interested in on Cars.Com. The ad. didn't give much info and reqested you call for details. I called on October 1 and 2, 2007 and got transferred to voicemail (I hate voicemail and have learned not to leave my # with car salesmen unless I have talked to them first.) On Oct. 3rd I spoke to Britt-who couldn't give me any information on the condition of the car but said he would get the Carfax report and look at the car and call me back shortly. Didn't hear back for over an hour so I called back again, thinking the guy got busy and forgot. On my second call they gave me a different internet salesmen as I had forgotten the name of the first one. This time I spoke to Tom Stover and was flabergasted at his lack of service. Innitially, he said there was no such car but after I insisited, he continued to look and found it. Again, I asked specifics as to condition of the car inside and out-how many owners etc. Tom said that the vehicle was on another lot and he had no way of knowing this. I asked him to pull up the Carfax and he said that it was quite abit of effort to do this and he wouldn't be able to do this unless I was ready to buy this particular car. What?? Are you kidding me? It is an hour drive to this dealership and I'm not going that far until I know it more? After this conversation I left a review on their short phone survey which reflected my dissatisfaction and requested a manager call back. Never did! (Note: Britt called back almost two hours later, but too late.) Like the reviewer before me, I should have heeded the signs-but I called again. In the meanwhile I figured out how to get the carfax myself. The next salesmen I spoke to was much much more helpful, but when asked about the history-said Carfax indicated no accidents-which I could see was Not True. He also said they'd had it for 6 weeks when the report incicated they'd taken it in on trade almost 4 months ago. Maybe an honest mistake? Twice? So, between that, the helpful review on this website as well as the 6 complaints on the BBB website I have decided to steer clear of this dealership.
  • Cagey, inept [violative content deleted]

1.3 out of 5 starsby zlguocius on 09/14/2007

Early September 2007, and I was in the market to buy a 2008 Impreza WRX hatchback with automatic transmission and as few factory-installed options as possible (invoice $26,962; MSRP $28,595). These cars had just come out, and were rare across the state. I live in Boulder, so wanted to give my local dealer an advantage. I solicited bids from every dealer in the state, but only three cars in my configuration were in the state. Sean Faling from Flatirons Imports promised to get me one of these, and he submitted a crazy-low bid: $24,012 + taxes, $26,007.40 out the door (based on an erroneous 8.31% tax rate, which should have been 8.16%). This was the lowest bid I received by ~$1.5K, so I started trying to clarify. After much song and dance and about 20 emails later (Sean has the habit of not answering my questions until the second or third time I've asked), Sean suddenly discovers that he made a mistake and forgot to include the cost of the Premium Package that's required with automatic transmission. Okay, so either he's inept, or he low-balled me. Either way, I should have stopped dealing with this dealership right there. (It also should have raised my suspicions that he kept insisting that, by talking to other dealerships, I was making it hard for him to get the lowest price possible. Ha!) But no, I kept corresponding. His next, more realistic bid was $25,536 + taxes. This was just about the same as Heuberger Motors's bid in Colorado Springs (~100 miles away, but they offered to deliver the car to my door). So, idiot-me, I still wanted to keep my business local, so I kept negotiating with Sean at Flatirons. I wanted to get everything written via email before coming down to put down a deposit, but Sean is so maddeningly cagey and non-committal in writing. That should have been yet another warning sign, but I ignored it. After I sent him basically a terse ultimatum email on a Wednesday (because I was ready to go with Heuberger, which had been waiting patiently), he finally committed to the specifications and color of the car I would be putting a deposit on. Can you believe he wanted me to lay down $1,000 without even telling me what color the car is or what options are included?! So I went down on a Wednesday late afternoon and put down the deposit. At that time, he assured me multiple times that he would email me the very next day to tell me whether he could get the car. Thursday came and went. I emailed three times, no response. No response on his cell phone either. Finally I call the dealership at around 5pm, and the receptionist says "Sean is off today." Great. On Friday, Sean says he "caught a cold" yesterday and so didn't go in. Whatever. Anyway, Sean sends a couple more uninformative emails until ~2pm, when he finally admits that he isn't able to get the car he promised. Now, finally, I've come to my senses and decide to drop this guy. So I got my $1,000 deposit refunded and hope never to have to interact with this sales staff again. This was perhaps the most frustrating sales experience I've ever had in my life. Congratulations, Flatirons Imports! In stark contrast is the experience I had with Heuberger Motors in Colorado Springs. (I'll be writing a review on them shortly.) The folks at Heuberger were informative and straight-up in all their emails (with a few exceptions, most prominently where they made a ~$400 "mistake" in their favor when calculating my taxes, which I caught). After dropping Sean and Flatirons on late Friday afternoon, I called the folks at Heuberger and was able to get the deal closed ($27,311 invoice; $29,162 MSRP; $26,213 + tax sale price; $28,351.98 OTD) and have the car delivered to my door within four hours (~100 mile drive), arriving ~9pm on a Friday night. Now that's customer service! Now I'm the proud and happy owner of a new 08 WRX hatchback, but, perhaps most importantly, dishonest/inept Flatirons Imports didn't get any of my money.
    • Hi, First off, I am sorry to read this reveiw and understand how difficult this car buying process was for you. I apologize for any stress or running around that I caused you and I would like to clear it up. When you and I worked together I was brand new at the job, I had been sitting in this seat for less than a week. I was doing the best that I could to offer you great service, pricing, and efficiency. I admit that this one may have gotten away from me while I was flustered, and for that I apologize. As a dealership, Flatirons Imports has been above board with all their training, customer satisfaction, and vehicle pricing. Again, my apologies for all of the miscommunication that we had, I am happy to hear that you found the car that you were looking for. Sincerely, Sean Faling

We got a really good internet price from Paul S. and had a completely pleasant buying experience because there was no pressure to buy right away or to buy a more expensive model than what we needed. Paul explained everything clearly, answered all questions, and showed us all aspects of the vehicle. A stress-free experience, thank you, Paul!

After much research, I utilized my company's online auto purchase program. I received many responses from dealers across Denver and Boulder. By far, Flatirons Subaru's Jeremy P. was the most responsive. I visited the dealership on Labor Day weekend and in three hours I had selected a Crosstrek, test drove, and completed purchase in just three hours. Awesome experience and no issues. I expect to return for my next vehicle purchase. Thanks again to Jeremy P.

I had requested online bids from 3-4 dealerships. Although Paul S.'s price quote was initially the highest, he came back with a lowest price quote. He is a straight forward no nonsense sales guy. The entire buying experience was very efficient and pain free.

Although I have purchased many new cars, this was the first one that I purchased from 1200 miles away via email and phone calls. It was a very efficient as well as pleasant experience. Judd T. made it all move quickly and easily which resulted in my complete satisfaction. Highly recommended - and believe me I have not been able to speak so highly about all my previous car buying experiences.

Recently gave my 2003 Outback to my daughter and bought a new one from Flatirons. Was looking for white - the other dealership I was working with couldn't be bothered to look for one. Judd T., internet sales, called me with the day and said he would find me one. He did, and I'm driving it now. Two weeks later my husband totalled his 1998 Outback. We called Judd again - he found us another car within the day. Great service, good pricing, no hassle purchasing.

The sales experience wit Arlene O. was simple, honest and the pricing was straight forward. Delivery of the vehicle was very pleasant and Arlene took plenty of time to explain the vehicle and actually went out of her way to accomodate some concerns we had with the vehicle. One of the best auto buying experiences we have had.

First new car buying experience and a great one! Unlike many other dealerships I visited or email through true-car, this one worked out for me and ended up buying my Subaru Outback about a month ago and loving it since I drove off the dealership. I was referred to this dealership by friends who purchased an Acura next door. My contact here is Paul S. (the internet sales guy here). He is patient to deal with, provides an excellent after sales service and a great guy to deal with when it comes to price and financing. Good Luck! Enjoy your Subaru. It’s a great car.
  • Bought My First New Car

Buying a new car is big deal. So I researched it, I checked out every dealer in my area for my Subaru, even considered the cost to get one (cheaper) where my family lives (Subaru not being in high demand with no snow) and drive it back. I am SO glad I went out of my way to check out Flatirons. I consider myself VERY lucky to have run into Xavier G. the day I went. At other dealers I was lied to, extra fees and 'options' added that were supposedly not optional, treated like I didn't know anything about cars, even ignored and getting calls on MY phone to talk to my husband about MY new car. Flatirons was a wonderful experience. Their starting price matched my estimates and was well below my expectations. Xavier talked to me about what I was looking for and why I wanted various features. He found the best option to meet my requirements and worked to keep the price where I wanted it. He even managed to find a version in the rare color I wanted so I could at least see it once in person, where other dealers had sworn I couldn't even look at it if it was bought, which they only got my color if it was bought. I really appreciated Xavier G. going through to the extra effort to be sure the car was ready when I could come out to pick it up, even though he was not able to be at the office. The other staff I met that day were equally polite, no-nonsense, and quite nice. [non-permissible content removed] then test drive the CVT. I love it.

Jeremy has become my favorite car salesman! He handled all aspects of my car buying experience with professionalism and a laugh. I know that I was a high maintenance buyer with a lot of questions and requirements, and he took everything in stride and went above and beyond! I was hesitant to become a "Subaru owner" because everyone in Boulder has a Subaru and I like going against the flow, but he helped me find the perfect car! I couldn't be happier! If you want to have the headache and challenge taken out of your car buying experience, call Jeremy at Flatirons Subaru! He won't disappoint!
