Shady dealing
Written by 06/19/2014
onI test drove a used Volvo S40. A week later I called back and negotiated a price with my salesman from $12,200 to $11,500. They wouldn't take a deposit because it would be a few days before I could close the deal. I put financing in place, called back the next day and was told they sold the car. Now, a week later, they have it back up for sale for the $12,200 price. It appears that someone in management said the $11,500 price was too low and to not sell it and lied to me, telling me it was sold. No, I did not have anything in writing, but this was pretty shady. I bought somewhere else and will not go back to that dealership.
