A nice start with a bad finish

The sales guy Gustavo was nice but ultimately just a front for his bosses, and not an advocate for you. 5/5 friendliness but 2/5 for helping you get what you want. Immediately after I had… decided on a vehicle, they immediately started pushing hard for me to lease the vehicle instead. I expressed several times that I would prefer to buy, but ultimately, they convinced me I would save more money via leasing. In the back, after reviewing their numbers, it did not save me money. Called them out, they came back with a much more lowered total payout, but with 48month lease period and a higher money factor. I signed, and took the vehicle home. Three weeks later, I went in to buyout my lease. They tried to dissuade me by telling me ford would clawback rebates, that I needed to sign a no-sale contract, adding additional buyout fees, wasting hours of my time waiting around, and that I couldn't buy the lease out despite my contract saying otherwise. I had to find another dealer to process the buyout in the end. Look, I went in wanting to finance a purchase, instead I ended up with a cash purchase that took way too long and probably left everyone unhappy in some way. Would recommend trying to find a more honest dealership. New service agent and technician
by 1243 birds on 12/11/2023Went in for oil change and service. Terrible video of car showing me areas leaking was texted to me. It was 65% unintelligible and didn't show the problem areas! I had to call Service agent Armando to get more information. He advised me… of problem and to replace parts for $2800. There was no breakdown of parts and labor. I asked a few key questions. It was very clear he didn't have answers. I spoke with manager who was defensive of Auto Nation Policies that allow such a terrible video be sent to a customer. I asked a few novice question regarding the problem which prompted manager to review the leak with his technician. The manager told me, "the leak is very very very slight and can be watched over time". Common sense saves the day again, and I saved myself a bundle of money. Very disappointing that I know more than my service advisor and his manager. Service used to be a 10. ALL I WANTED WAS A MODULAR BUMPER.
by Marcos 0 on 12/05/2023I asked the sales rep for a modular bumper on my new bronco. The sales rep assured me that although they did not have it in stock, I was gonna get it in a couple weeks. A few weeks go by and the sales rep calls to tell me that my bumper is… there. when I show up to pick it up, it appears that he only ordered the Safari kit, which is a small piece of metal that attaches to the bumper I wanted. He made a mistake in ordering the wrong part now he tells me that I cannot order the modular bumper and he cannot give me a refund whatsoever on the spare part that he ordered by mistake. I was punished and paid for somebody else’s mistake, and to this day, they refuse to make it right, I’ve tried multiple times to get in touch with someone and they basically told me to go F myselfRepair of my Ford Focus

Didn't get a loaner despite vehicle needing 2-3 days of service

This review pertains to the experience I had with AutoNation rather than with the tech. I am a bit disappointed with my last experience because I had an… open recall and an electrical issue with my windows. I called into the service center before my appointment and was informed my car would need to be in the shop for at least 1-2 days and that I would be given a loaner. When I dropped my vehicle off, I asked for a loaner but was denied one. I had no car or means of transportation that entire time. The shop knew this was going to be a long task so I am a bit perplexed why I was not given a loaner car. I had to arrange work rides and pay for my own Uber for the next 2 days. It is more of a bummer because I have always had a good experience with AutoNation Ford.Hi, we are deeply disappointed by your experience at AutoNation Ford Tustin.
