Bad experience at this dealership.
by Mark Cruz on 07/08/2025I took my car for a service, I was told my car would be ready within a week but almost 3 weeks went by and no work was done. The person that was supposed to be communicating with me, via text, stopped answering my messages and later was… told that this person stopped working there, but I wasn't told about it. At the end I was charged for the diagnosis and nothing else. A waste of money and time.Hello Mark, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. Damage during service
by Michael on 07/07/2025Took my Elantra in for 15k service. While at the dealership, front left bumper was damaged. Service called, said car would be ready in 2-3 days. Never got a follow up, repair didn't start until I called after 3 days. While service did fix… car, this was all very inconvenient to say the least. The service rep was not hurried, and was empathetic to my issues. Hyundai Carlsbad allowed me… to book online, drop off with ease, and I was treated with such kindness. I received daily updates via text, and they were always available when I called. Most importantly they didn’t treat me like I was a number, or “just another customer”. Okay sale, but poor follow-up

The morning after the purchase, we noticed moisture in headlamp of our verified used Hyundai Kona. I have called service multiple time and they… haven’t scheduled me or co tasted me back to make the repair, not has the sales guy returned my calls.Horrible dealership! Avoid at all costs.
by Extremely Upset Customer on 12/20/2023AutoNation Hyundai Carlsbad deserves zero stars, but the system made me give them at least one star to leave this scathing yet brutally honest review. From start to finish the leasing of my new vehicle has been a complete nightmare. From… selling the new car I chose out from under me, to having me fill out the wrong application, to registering the Bluelink Hyundai app to a completely different car owned by someone else (meaning I could lock, unlock, climate control, etc. a complete stranger's vehicle), to giving me the keys to my new car without ever asking me to turn in any of the lease paperwork for the new car or to give them the keys to my trade in (YES, I could have driven off the lost in a brand new car with no signed agreement on file and kept my trade in vehicle), to allowing me to drive home in the new car with NO temporary plates or registration (which is against the law), to sending me a Cancelation of Contract and Demand to Return Vehicle due to a paperwork issue on THEIR end, to never properly closing out the paperwork for the vehicle I turned in....the list goes on and on. I will NEVER go back to this dealer or recommend them to anyone. RUN, don't walk, away from AutoNation Hyundai Carlsbad.Went looking for an affordable used car and drove off in a new car!

I ended up at AutoNation Hyundai Valencia and hooked up with salesmen Nick and Andrew. There were no used cars to look at so i checked out the… new Elantra and didn't really like it. Nick and Andrew asked what my budget was and suggested I take a look at the Sonata SEL. I really liked the car and after some negotiating we made a deal and I purchased a 2023 Sonata SEL. The car buying experience at AutoNation Hyundai Valencia was quick, enjoyable and no pressure. I highly recommend this car, dealership and salesmen Nick and Andrew.
