    Jack Powell Escondido checked our recall and they said it was good, no further action needed. Then the coil spring flew out, damaged the wheel well and damaged the body paint. So I took it to AutoNation Carlsbad and they fixed it and kept in the loop during the process. Jeep recall company paid for the maintenance repairs!

    Nightmare! in 8 days and did nothing. tried to get us to pay $795 for maintenance work that had already be done. not warranty work. coolant temp sensor under extended warranty. Michael Griffis was a nasty lying person the entire time and used profanity on me.

  • Quick and easy routine maintenance

    I took my recently purchased vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation, and was pleasantly surprised at the quick turnaround time on a busy day. Staff was friendly and helpful and communicated the status of the service promptly - I will definitely return for future service needs!

  • Scheduling system needs work and customer communication

    It was very difficult to talk to a person about scheduled appointment requirements. Along with that, it was difficult to verify which location the vehicle appointment was supposed to be. Once the appointment was finally confirmed, it was hard to talk to anyone at the location. It appears the scheduling and customer communication numbers are significantly understaffed.

    • So calling the number for the General Manager above gets me to the phone menu tree. When I select "1" for service, it loops back to the original menu tree over and over again. It's time consuming and absolutely ineffective at getting anything done other than spending time on the phone. And the online scheduling does not specify which location the vehicle needs to be taken to, and obviously does not allow any discussion over the phone to narrow down trouble shooting options before the vehicle is delivered for service.

  • 30,000 Service for 2020 Jeep Wrangler

    I went in for a service and was quoted $2500 to do 30,000 service. Insane price! This did not include the free oil change and tire rotation I pre-paid for when I leased my Jeep. I asked the serviceman to do the bare minimum and push out what could be pushed out. I realized he charged me the same after I left ($2500). 40min later, I texted him to pause everything. Then he said I didn't need a $400 tray. Asked to talk with the manager, they continued to finish the work (even though I had asked them to stop). They said sorry, but the system recommended these items even though the manual and manufacturer didn't. I feel like I was scammed. The dealership should do better when it comes to customer experience and advocacy to earn trust and loyalty.

  • Greatly Improved

    Setting the appointment was simple on the website. Upon arrival the service advisor came out immediately and was friendly and efficient. Oil change and tire rotation was done in 90 minutes. The waiting room is large, clean and comfortable. This is a great improvement from a year ago under Bob Baker ownership.

  • Engine Replacement

    My fleet vehicle was diagnosed with coolant in the cylinder and Robert submitted documentation to our fleet program that the engine replacement would be covered under warranty. Thanks to his communication with the fleet program I was able to retain the vehicle instead of it being sent to auction.

  • Great service - once I got through on the phone!

    The service department has improved considerably since Auto Nation first took over. Work was done as promised, warranty work was honored from previous dealer, everyone was courteous. My only ongoing issue is trying to get through to the service department on the first call!

  • Horrible experience

    No courtesy loaner car. No ability to contact live person. Hard deadline for needing car complete not met. Spent 2 hrs at dealership waiting on service - this was with going to work while work was performed. “Almost done, 15 minutes” more, etc isn’t acceptable after being an hour past deadline. Never have recalls ready - after all of this waiting, only 1 of 3 got done

  • Repair and Recall Service on Pacifica

    I dropped off my Pacifica as I was experiencing a myriad of electrical issues. Michael did a great job of providing me with an initial diagnosis (which ended up being spot on), walking me through the process and expectations regarding timeline and cost. The repair took a week to complete and Michael provided me with timely updates so I was never left wondering. I feel more confident with my vehicle now that I know there is someone like Michael I can depend on if needed in the future.

  • My Jeep Had Grease All Over the Doors

    Well, not to good for an honest review - When I got my Jeep back it was filthy on the driver floor and had several grease marks on the side doors. Also very surprised that a 20,000 mile service on my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost over $800 and that was not with filter replacements or an oil change.

    I discovered issues with my vehicle one week prior to the end of the manufacturer-backed extended warranty program. I was concerned that my warranty program would lapse over the Labor Day weekend before the work could be started. My service advisor, Danny Vega, stayed in contact with the warranty dept to complete the worked needed, under warranty. Excellent service and communication, keeping me informed, a level of service not found under the previous dealer ownership.

    Personnel was good and professional, when I arrived the next day, I noticed a scratch on my vehicle that was not there when I left my truck for service. I reported the incident, they take record and photos only problem no body shop available at this time.
