  • Odd Sales Practices & Don’t want to explain anything

    Bought a used car. The car inspection by the dealer themselves had come back with a minor oil leak reported. I understand used cars are “as is” and was good with purchasing it. But I did want to be knowledgeable about these things and that’s where things got odd. 1. Sales guy kept saying he doesn’t know and I don’t need to worry about it. When I asked to get details from their service team, he tried to push me to buy a brand new car. When I asked again, he kept telling me the car is as is and they price won’t come down. Note that I kept telling him I wants to buy the car as is and I’m not negotiating the price down. I said “I want to give you my money.. can you please just give me some sort of an explanation for this leak so I know what to be on the look out for”. 2. Autonation has a 5 day 250 mile guarantee to bring back the car for any reason. Since he wasn’t explaining the oil leak.. I asked about this guarantee and worse case I could bring the car back after I get it inspected by my mechanic. The sales guy says… “oh were not even going to talk about that. We not even going to talk about the return guarantee and if want to get it inspected after you buy the car then we’re not even going to sell you the car because I’m sure they will find something wrong and you’d bring the car back. It’s a waste of time for all”. I confirmed by asking “so you’re saying that after I buy the car.. even though it’s MY car.. you want me to tell you right now that I won’t get it inspected!?” He said “yes. That’s right don’t get it inspected. Our guys here are great we are great and you need to trust us “. 3. Given the price and the urgency; I bought the car. But then the person we were signing the paperwork with was just horrible. He was pushy with the extended warranty and changed his attitude when we declined. I’ve never seen someone change their behavior from nice to rude this quickly. And worse, he wanted me to NOT READ any of the long contractual agreements I needed to sign. He was getting frustrated that I wanted to read and understand what I’m signing! When I’d ask him a question.. he didn’t know the answer he said and he wanted me to just sign it. “It’s all standard stuff so just sign it” he said. No wonder Dar dealers have a bad reputation. This experience was ridiculous and horrifying to some extent.

  • Purchase of a new 2023 CRV

    My husband and I purchased a new 2023 CRV from AutoNation in Chandler, AZ from Boris Bakrac. He did a great job of providing all the details and options for us to make a decision on which car we wanted to buy. He help in the negotiations to get the deal we wanted and after the sale spent time showing us how to use the many features of the new car we bought. He was an excellent salesmen and I recommend going to him when you are looking to buy a new car.

  • Shady Business Practices

    They knowingly sold me a truck with large oil and coolant leaks, calling it "seepage". Not sure how a ear main seal, leaking turbo and leaking cylinder head (oil and coolant) constitutes as "seepage" especially whem my driveway is covered in oil and coolant. You guys should have sold this truck wholesale! You off-loaded this truck on to an unsuspecting customer. Shame on you!!

    • Already contacted the GM and he had me waste time and brung it to your shop and you guys did absolutely nothing. You told me the leaks were the same ones the tech noted before the sale but the salesman refused to disclose.

    My experience at AUTO NATION HONDA in Chandler was very good had to have starter replaced and it took only about 3 and half hours but would have been less but they had a holiday buffet for the employees and i understand the delay which was no problem. Thank You

    Service advisor was friendly and thorough. Explained to me that I needed preventative maint that would cost almost 2K, but put no pressure on me to do it immediately.

  • Very Shady Business Practices Buyer Beware

    This place knowingly sold me a truck that was leaking oil from the rear main seal and right side head of the engine. It also has a coolant leak. Within 500 miles of owning the vehicle, my driveway looks like the Exxon Valdez oil spill. When I bought the truck, the paperwork said it had seepage. I asked the salesman and he said he didnt know, maybe the oil pan as we both looked under the truck while it was in the shop. He then noted that the truck had sat in the shop all weekend and there was not a drop on the floor. We spoke with the sales manager and was told that was the term they use. He even asked if I saw any leaks and we noted the oil pan was probably the "seepage" the tech weote up. After leaving a negative Google review, the manager said he was sorry for the negative experience and to call him to see if there was anything they can do. I brought it to the shop and dropped it off. After the technician looked at it, the service manager called me and said that the tech had originally thought the turbo was leaking oil, the rear main was leaking, the right head was leaking oil and coolant. I asked the advisor if the salesman would have had access to these issues when I was purchasing, he said yes. Now they refuse to do anything with the truck.You can clearly see that someone took the time to steam the backside of the engine off. Not only this issue but after I purchased the truck, I was contacted and notified that I needed to get the truck emission tested. How does a truck get sold without an enissions test. I am sure if it failed, I would have been stuck with those repairs. These are my opinions based off of my experiences with Autonation Honda of Chandler.

    I had to wait 10min before someone helped me. Not a whole lot of instructions on what i should do since it was my first time there. I stood there thinking do I just go in and wait or do I stay here until someone comes up to my car?? It would be helpful to have a greeter that would ask if I have been there before then give clear instructions.

    We LOVE using this dealership. We drive over 50 miles one way to purchase our cars at this dealership.
