Britany was very professional and communicated the recommended maintenance items in a manner that helped me understand the work to be performed on my vehicle. Britany went through the recommended maintenance items, that were scheduled to be performed, and I could approve the work to be performed. I knew the estimated cost for work I approved and my final invoice reflected that. I am very happy with the maintenance work, performed on my vehicle, at Hendrick Chevrolet.

onOn my previous visit, a blonde lady convinced me to buy new tires. But she didn’t even give me the tires she said she would sell me. Then the back left kept running low and Pep Boys had to patch a brand new tire. They don’t even ride smoothly. On this most recent visit, I just got the oil change per my warranty package. I’m afraid to get anything major done. Sometimes my touchscreen goes black and the front end creaks a lot. I’ve been hearing a weird gurgling noise, like engine fluid for the past three months. I wanted to redeem my one component on the warranty, but I don’t know what it is. I have to leave it all day for diagnostics.

No Loaners for Week Service

onI have had Hendrick service my truck since I moved to town. I had them replace an engine and then a few weeks later I smelt gas in my truck. I took the truck in because the work was done at Hendrick. They took a week to find and replace the problem. In the meantime I had to rent a car since they do not have loaners. They had to replace a gas line which one was replaced with the new engine but the other went back. I got the truck back but when it crank me it shakes and the engine squeals which was not fixed. The service manager was kind and gave me a nice discount for my problem but I keep having to go in every time they touch the truck. I think I will just take it to another dealership or mechanic who can actually fix the problems.

Does Not stand behind warranty.

onDo not use the service department unless you want them to charge you instead of correctly handling warranty repairs. I own a 2021 Silverado with the 3.0 Duramax. The truck would pop up the check engine light with a check emissions error every 8-10k. The truck had 68,000 miles and I knew the 8 year 80k FEDERAL emissions warranty was going to run out. Went to the dealership and they performed a software update to resolve the issue and charged me for it. They claim the emission warranty was useless in Alabama because they do not emission test here, remember this coverage is a federal warranty. So at this point either GM is lying or Hendrick lying about the 8 year 80k coverage. At this point I will just stop purchasing GM vehicles and stop using Hendrick. Oh and the service department was even nice enough to print the TSB that even explains how to claim this repair under the emissions warranty.

Terrible techs

onI came in to get service done to my vehicle that was running hot and leaking coolant. I was told I needed a new motor, remind you I just brought my vehicle in a month and a half ago for service that cost me almost $800. I took my vehicle to another local Chevrolet dealer in town and all my vehicle needed was a hose and a thermostat sensor. I was very displeased with Hendrix service and I believe they just took my $150 assessment fee without giving me a true diagnosis of my vehicle.

Service Department Lacking

onThe service rep I dealt with on Saturday (March 27th) and Monday (March 29th) were great (Britney I believe). What led to dealing with this rep was far less than perfect. I dropped my Equinox off on Friday (March 26th) to have TWO tires looked at for leaks/issues because both tires were losing air and having to be refilled. I dropped off around lunch and never received a call that the car was ready to pick up until I finally called back around 5pm to see if the car was ready. Upon arriving at the dealer, I was told BOTH tires were thoroughly checked for issues. BOTH tires were supposedly dunk tested. BOTH tires were supposedly soapy water tested around the valve stems. I emphasis BOTH because that comes into play the following day on Saturday. I was told upon leaving the dealership that BOTH tires were fine and there were no issues. The problem with the low air was explained to likely be the recent changes in temperature and air pressure due to the weather. Saturday morning, I went to leave my house and found the right rear passenger was down to 17psi (recommended is 35). That isn't "fine". I drove straight to the dealer and after waiting a little over an hour, finally got an update that there was a gouge on the inside of the right rear. I was informed that tire was never checked on Friday because the service rep insisted to the service tech it was the front driver side that needed checked (it was as well). I was told the front driver tire was fine (for the second time). A few minutes later, I went back to see the service rep and just ask to have two new tires ordered so that they could match usage at least and at that point, was told that indeed, the front driver tire ALSO HAD A GOUGE in it. So now, here I am less than 18 hours after picking up the car that I was told was fine, finding out BOTH tires that were to be looked at BOTH had gouges in them causing them to lose air. I'm honestly not sure how it was missed on Friday because the service department apparently fairly easily found them on Saturday. For this egregious error by the service department, I had to ask for what was a nominal discount to say the least. Nothing was offered by the dealer at all for their error. The final thing, which in the grand scheme is minor, is that the gear shifter coating/paint was chipped by apparently the service tech or someone who drove the vehicle while at the dealer. As much attention as the service reps pay to exterior damage, scratches, etc. when checking in a car, the dealer doesn't apparently care what damage they do while they have the car. Again, this is a minor thing in the grand scheme but it's still disappointing that the dealer doesn't take better care of a longtime customers vehicle. Definitely disappointed with Hendrick Chevrolet after this experience.

onAt the young age of 80 I have owned a large number of cars and trucks and have dealt with a number of dealerships. I rate these folks at the top with Stewart being I think the best service rider I have ever had. Very accommodating and very knowledgeable , listens and then gets it done!
