Better than most

Scheduled service was quick and efficient. Noted a nail in my tire that they asked about fixing and updated me when they determined it had not punctured the tire (honesty is a good thing!). Service waiting area appeared generally clean and comfortable. A couple areas of the dealership could use some attention (dead leaves around ficus trees, dirty windows-the things you notice while waiting).

Basil Nightmare!

Bought a used Ford Fusion for $25,000. Within three days after we picked it up, it needed a new engine which the dealership put in. Not happy. Fast forward 3 months and the new engine is having issues. In for three days of repairs. Two days later the engine fries itself as my teenage son is driving it. Needs another new engine and turbo. What the heck?? I don’t trust their work and want my money back.

I really enjoyed my car shopping experience with Basil Ford. My salesperson, Blake Fountain was very attentive to my car shopping needs. I was looking for a used luxury car in my price range. Blake found the perfect car for me! My 2018 BMW is awesome!!! Low miles, great condition, and only one previous owner. Sales manager Ryan Garrigan gave me an amazing trade-in offer for my 2015 Ford Fusion. Great car shopping experience!!

Don’t let them in your vehicle

Don't let service in your vehicle. Went in with my 1 day old F-150 for USB ports not working and they pried it off and scratched/ gouged the plastic underneath rather then compressing the clips. USB still didn't work so they had to replace my computer. In doing so they admitted to breaking my phone mount but didn't realize that they scratched the trim around the screen and broke the vent where the phone mount was mounted. When I asked for them to fix/ replace the parts that were damaged when removing the USB port I was told that the part was to expensive and that " the USB port can not be replaced without damaging the plastic underneath" no joke that's what I was told. I brought my truck in and showed the service Manager Steve and the dealer Manager how to remove it within 10 seconds with a paper clip and no damage. Still they wouldn't admit any wrong doing or offer to fix it or even a free oil change. They did fix/ replace the vent, trim and wrote me a check for my phone mount but I was told I have to just live with the other damage that was "unavoidable" unless you're me I guess.

Amazing experience. Due to the pandemic and vehicles being scarce, decided to buy out my lease. Justin took the time to not only help me with anything I needed but also price out the best route for used vehicles, my current lease, or what was available on the lot. Justin helped work around my schedule and make the process as quick and easy as possible. Highly recommend Justin and Matt their finance manger. Will not be working with anyone else when these 2 gentleman are available

Not very professional

After setting up appt with GM, wasn’t very impressed with customer service. After telling GM I wanted to shop more than FIRST truck I saw, was threatened with”one day only” deal, and he didn’t appreciate being a “ping bong ball”. Sorry, but I’m the one dropping 30k, not you! After agreeing to deal the same day, had to wait 3 days to pick up truck. When arriving to pick up truck, GM simply waved from across show rm, never even attempting to talk to me, was there for 2 hrs, so he had ample time if he wanted. After getting lied to about monthly payments, never told me about warranty cost, but that’s another story. After waiting for over an hour to get new windshield wipers, was finally given a new set. I will say Justin was awsome, professional, curtious, and very helpful with questions I had. Upon leaving, was confronted by Sales Manager, who tried selling me a tonneau cover, which he actually told me he thought it should be on the truck already. He wanted to trick it out with bug guard, window guard, and tonneau cover, but instead of actually doing it beforehand, tried to sell me the accessories ! Just wasn’t impressed with the deal from the time I walked in, professionally. Actually felt bullied to make deal, or “it would go away in a day”. I had a trailer brake installed, at no charge, so for that I’m grateful, but should have never taken 3 days. Wife has a lease due at end of March, through Basil, so we’ll be looking elsewhere. I’m sure this will fall on deaf ears, but glad to get it off my chest, thanks for listening to my rant!

Unhappy

I brought my vehicle in for a check engine light at 11 this morning. I waited around all day not hearing anything so I called around 3:30 quarter to 4 to get an update. I was told that I would be called when there was information regarding the status of my car. Finally at 5:30 I was called and told what was wrong with my vehicle and that my warranty had expired and nothing would be covered. Kind of weird since I had my car they're after February and had work done on it and it was covered by the extended coverage plan. After being told the warranty was expired I wasn't sure what to do so I just ask to have the car ready and to be picked up. I was then told that the shuttle driver had gone home for the day at 4:30, with no way there I had to pay for an Uber to get to the dealership to pick up my vehicle.

Excellent Service Received

I called this morning, because I received an alert that I had low tire pressure. I was driving to work when this happened. I called Basil Ford of Niagara Falls because it was close to my work. I had never been to this service center but was hoping they could help me. The service dept got me in late morning. When I arrived, I was greeted right away. I told them I wasn't sure if it was because it was cold out or if I had a nail. The gentleman told me he would check all the tires and inspect them. I was there maybe 5 minutes and he came out and told me no nails, but all my tires were low. He filled them and sent me on my way, at no charge. I really appreciated the quick response, because I left work and needed to get back. I will definitely return to Basil Ford for any future service needs. I highly recommend!!

Effortless recall repair

I had several recall repairs to have done on my 2014 Escape. I was going to be off for a few days so the timing was perfect it I didn’t have an appointment. They took my vehicle anyway and had it back to me earlier than they originally quoted. I also needed an oil change and NY inspection and they did it all with a curtesy drop off and pick up (Roy the curtesy driver is great).

NYS Inspection

My truck failed inspection for fuel leak. Mechanic shock a brake line said it was installed by someone incorrectly now days later my breaks fail due to line broke. Too suspicious since manager said see you in a few days. Looks like they cut my brake line

Worst place ever

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never in my life been treated so poorly and continue to be brushed off now that the sale was completed. I was told everything I wanted to hear until sale was finalized and then it was like I never existed. The first 30 days I owned this vehicle I had it in my possession for about 10 days. The rest of the time it was sent to a different dealership because they could not fix it themselves. I tried returning the vehicle under the lemon law and the general manager told me "No and if you don't like it come back with a lawyer". So I would advise anyone in the future to totally disregard the Basil Ford Niagara Falls location for any purchase or service. I will continue to make it known how bad my experience was and still is with this dealership. Never again will I deal with a basil dealership anywhere thanks to the salesman and general manager at the Niagara Falls location.

Not a friendly and honest dealership

They tried to sell a car to me well over the market value, and even forgot that I saw the car when it was Mark with the price... they went and put the a higher price and tried to give me a BS excuse when I told them about the original price on the car

Aaron was the best and took care of everything from making sure the car was perfect when I picked it up to completing all necessary DMV forms for an out-of-state purchase. Five Stars for Aaron and the team at Basil!
