Lincoln introduced the Nautilus four years ago, and while the name was new to the lineup the SUV was not. The underlying engineering dates to the 2016 model year, making the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus a senior citizen by automotive standards. However, this Lincoln is still looking as youthful as a Hollywood actor thanks to regular cosmetic upgrades and technology implants.
Following a significant interior renovation and a fresh infotainment system last year, the 2022 Nautilus receives few changes. A new Black Label Flight theme originally planned for 2021 finally arrives, and a couple of new option packages debut for other versions of the SUV. Fresh color choices round out the changes.
Compared to its primary rival, the equally aged Lexus RX, the Lincoln Nautilus offers more conservative and elegant styling combined with technology that can be easier to use. It also fares favorably when stacked up against the arguably less compelling Cadillac XT5. However, other five-passenger luxury SUVs, such as the BMW X5, Genesis GV80 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, demonstrate more polish than the Lincoln. But in exchange for the added refinement and sophistication, they can also carry higher price tags.
2022 Lincoln Nautilus trim level differences
Available in Standard, Reserve and Black Label trim levels, the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus provides seating for five people in two rows. Black Label versions feature curated themes and expanded ownership perks for maximum luxury, but they're available only in select dealerships.
Which Nautilus trim does Edmunds recommend?
Your best chance of finding a Lincoln Nautilus with the right blend of equipment at the right price is to choose the Reserve trim. It offers the widest array of powertrains, wheel sizes and designs, and interior features, providing buyers broad latitude in equipping the Nautilus to their preferences.

A very quiet, comfortable and delightful SUV.

2021 Lincoln Nautilus 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
My 2021 Nautilus an extremely capable, comfortable and quiet vehicle. The car is even more quiet on the freeway than my 2017 Continental was - and it was very quiet. The Nautilus is a delight to drive and has lots of leg room and head room (I am 6' 6"). The seats are very comfortable and have excellent adjustments to fit any size person. I love the push button gear selector and easy … to use controls on the steering wheel and center console. I bought the model without the sun roof because the sun is so hot in Florida I never used the last sun roof I had and it also let in a lot of heat. Not having the sunroof also gives me extra headroom. Everything about the Nautilus feels like quality. I ordered the turbo four cylinder engine and it has more than enough power. The car is responsive and quick and fun to drive. Acceleration and braking are excellent. I like the automatic fold-down rear seats that greatly increase the rear cargo space. I think this is an excellent quality vehicle and I fully expect it to be as reliable and trouble free as my previous two Lincolns. The Nautilus comes with a 4 year warranty and that is a nice back up to have if there ever is a problem.
I think this is a beautiful vehicle and get many compliments on it. The only thing I would suggest to Lincoln is to offer some more color choices for the interior. The beige leather is beautiful and very nice, but I would have chosen blue or red if those colors were available.
I have been extremely pleased with my Lincoln dealer over the years. They do a great job and are very customer focused. This is my third Lincoln after owning many high end European luxury cars. The Lincoln is as good or better than those cars and much less expensive for maintenance and repairs. If you are looking for a top quality SUV, you should give the Nautilus a look.
UPDATE: I love my 2021 Nautilus. It is attractive, quick, quiet, comfortable and handles well. The seats are very comfortable and the Synch system is easy to use and does many things. It gets 21.6 mpg around town. So far everything works exactly like it did when new. I have had zero issues. This is perfect sized crossover and very well made with quality materiels.
First Lincoln. Not the last

2021 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
Had no intention of buying a Lincoln. Had found a Cadillac XT5 that I liked. Decided on the way to finalize the deal to stop at the Lincoln dealer. Very glad I did. I drove it 1/2 a block and fell in love with it. Bought it that afternoon. One month and still excited to drive anywhere. “Buttery” smooth drive. Exceptionally quiet interior. Lots of tech to learn. Well done Lincoln!!

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label 4dr SUV AWD (2.7L 6cyl Turbo 8A)
I love this ride! it drives and handles like a dream and is more feature rich then anything out there, i mean 24 way heated and cooled massaging seats? Superbly comfy, and I don't even have to try that hard. And it is sooo reliable, I've always loved Lincolns, WAYYYY better than any Cadillac my sisters Escalade Platinum which was 0ver 120k new doesn't even compare and this isn't even the … Navigator. The 19-speaker concert hall and the Lincoln experience are also amazing, when my car needs to be serviced it calls Lincoln who then calls me back to confirm and then picks up my car leaving a brand-new Lincoln in it's place which I get to keep until they drop my baby back off. I've owned cars and SUV's from all the desireable companies but none has been a better buy then my Black Label Lincoln. I get so many perks including Double upgrades every time I rent a car just because I own this amazing piece of machinery.
UPDATE: I have about 75000.mes now on my Black Label Nautilus and it's still the best vehicle I could have bought. It's needed 4 oil changes, two sets of windshield wipers, and a tie rotation then just bought a new set of tires. And it still purrs like new. THATS LIXURY!! Also it saved our life one night, it was late and rainy and couldn't see very well and wanted to get home to bed. Started to pass the car ahead of me and my Lincoln saved our lives, it slowed back down and steered back into the lane when a car doing about 75 passed us going the wrong way on the wrong side of the highway. It actually prevented a head on collision that night. Thank you Lincoln!! I'll never own anything else, except my husband's Volvo. We each have a Volvo and Lincoln but this is the best. And don't even get me started on my sisters new Escalade. Anyway, hope this helps you, and long live Lincoln.
Terrible service - dont buy!

2021 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve 4dr SUV AWD (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
We just purchased a 2021 Nautilus. With 1500 miles we are on a road trip and the electronics go haywire. Our Lincoln App (that they are so proud of) shows 102 errors with the car. While 3 hours from home the AC doesn't work - the steering wheel goes up and down the blind side assist doesn't work - the back hatch doesn't open, etc. We call their concierge service and spend an … hour on the phone for the lady to tell us we have problem and it needs service ASAP at the nearest Lincoln dealership. Now we are in Michigan 200 miles from home on a Sunday holiday weekend and they don't open until Tuesday. She said we could try and limp the $60,000 car home and she would get us an appointment as soon as possible. So today (4 days later) they call with an appointment Oct 27th, (48 days from now). Hard to believe.
We have a limited number of reviews for the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus, so we've included reviews for other years of the Nautilus since its last redesign.
