The Infiniti QX60 three-row luxury SUV was revised for 2025 — highlighted by a switch to an entirely different powertrain — so we're not expecting there to be many changes for 2026. The QX60's roomy interior and high-quality materials make it worth a look. But it's not as enjoyable to drive as rivals, and it lacks the seat and ride comfort we expect from a luxury SUV. You get a lot of desirable features for the price, but it's worth scoping out the competition to see if the QX60 is right for you.
Edmunds spotlight: Is the new engine worth the swap?
Infiniti nixed the QX60's V6 for 2025, replacing it with a variable compression (VC) turbocharged four-cylinder. We've driven several vehicles from Infiniti and Nissan with this engine and we're less than impressed. However, in these applications, the turbo-four is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) with simulated shifts that feel jerky and unrefined. We'll update our review after we take the updated QX60 to our test track, where we'll report how the four-cylinder fares when matched to the QX60's traditional automatic.
Competitors to consider
There are a few worthy competitors to the QX60. The Audi Q7 is stylish and a lot more fun to drive than the QX60, and the recently updated Volvo XC90 is worth a look too. We also like the Acura MDX, which blends comfort, luxury and affordability in a desirable package. If you're looking to travel off the beaten path, the recently redesigned Lexus GX has an appealing design and, on some trims, real off-road capability.
