Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience
by SB on 09/19/2024I initially expressed interest in a vehicle on September 14th, and a representative, Noah, contacted me on the 16th. I promptly provided all the required information and documentation and was told I’d receive sales orders soon. When I asked… if I could put down a deposit to hold the car, I was told that they do not hold vehicles for any customer under any circumstances. On Tuesday, the 17th, I signed the buyer’s orders and sent everything necessary to finalize the purchase, but never received confirmation because Noah was off, and no one communicated that. After applying for a loan specifically for this vehicle, I called the dealership and was informed of Noah’s absence, which further delayed the process. On Wednesday, I waited all day for the finance department to contact me, but received no follow-up. Then on Thursday, the 19th, I finally got a call from finance to discuss some details. I requested an updated sales order, but instead, Noah called to inform me that they were now holding the car for someone flying in to purchase it—a complete contradiction to their earlier claim that they do not hold vehicles for anyone. The manager’s response to this situation was shockingly casual and lacked any professionalism. He seemed completely unfazed by the inconvenience they caused, offering no real apology or solution. His “it is what it is” attitude was infuriating. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of transparency, communication, and professionalism displayed by Ourisman Toyota of Woodbridge. This was a frustrating and misleading experience, and I would not recommend doing business with them. (To add additional context: I am a woman, I am a disabled veteran, I am a new mother - I couldn't just hop on a plane)Worth traveling 4 hours!

The sales team worked through the deal long distance and we drove from out of town to trade/purchase our new Tundra. A hail of a bad thing

Under the bright light of day, it was impossible to see all of the hail damage in our used Highlander Hybrid, but in my garage, it was very obvious. Given, there was likely an insurance claim filed, I… would’ve expected to have seen information on the Carfax. There was no mention regarding a claim and no disclosure by the dealership.Thank you for reaching out. Single women- you will not be heard
by Disgruntled on 10/02/2023My salesperson John was wonderful. He sold me on the car, even though I had doubts I was getting the best deal. When I made it with the finance team, it became evident I was being swindled. I felt extremely uncomfortable. They physically… stood between myse lf and the door to keep me from leaving. I felt John heard my concerns, but the rest on the team made it the worst car buying experience I've ever had. Single women, go elsewhere.I'm sorry to read about your experience, especially regarding the discomfort you felt during the finance process. We strive for transparency and respect in all our interactions, so it's concerning that we've missed this mark with you. Happy with our new 2023 Highlander Hybrid XLE!!
by Ed Davin on 05/25/2023The Toyota salesperson who handled all aspects of our recent purchase of a 2023 Highlander Hybrid was Khawaja Naeem, who goes by the nickname Gohar with his customers. My wife and I are an older couple and we have bought many new cars… from many dealers. Both of us agree that Gohar is the best salesperson with whom we have had the pleasure to do business. His handling of his role in our purchase was outstanding at four stages of the process: 1. We began our search for a new vehicle with the general idea that we wanted another Toyota, but we had a limited understanding of the diversity of options available to us. Gohar demonstrated compete mastery of the different Toyota brands, trim lines, optional features, and costs. We were amazed by the fact that we never asked Gohar a question that he was unable to answer on the spot, and I’m a person who asks a lot of questions! We began our search unsure of whether to buy a Sienna or a Highlander, and we had no idea what trim level would satisfy our current needs. By the time we selected our Highlander Hybrid XLE, we were confident that it was the right choice for us, and we understood why. 2. Shortly after we received an offer from Ourisman Toyota for a vehicle to be delivered at a future date, we received a competing offer from a second dealer. Gohar the led his dealership’s development of a counteroffer that retained our business. 3. Once we were satisfied with Ourisman’s counteroffer, I requested a meeting to discuss the specifics of costs for add-ons like extended warranty and gap insurance, as well as available financing options. The member of the sales team with whom I met was not Gohar and he was not a Finance Manager. That staff member’s refusal to discuss any of the specifics that I was interested in caused me to walk out of that meeting convinced that we would be buying elsewhere. However, Gohar followed me to my car and identified a path forward that we could take, in cooperation with him, to give the dealership a chance to regain our trust. At the time, I was angry and unconvinced, but a follow-up phone call from Gohar convinced me to do my part so that he could do his. As a result, I had a more successful and more satisfying conversation about costs and financing with a more cooperative member of the sales team. 4. Just as the vehicle we were waiting for was about to be delivered to Ourisman, we received a second competing offer for a very similar vehicle from a third dealer. For a second time, Gohar was able to lead his dealership to take steps to retain our trust so that we could finalize the purchase of our Highlander.Ed, we can't express how grateful we are for your glowing and detailed review of your experience with Gohar at Toyota of Woodbridge.
