  • Greatest car buying experience!!

    5 out of 5 starsby RadioFlyer01 on 03/01/2018

My fiance and I were referred to flow Mazda and to talk to Ray Jordan. Ray was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did not push us to buy. He let us take our time and helped by letting us know pros and cons of different vehicles. Once we found the car we liked he didn't hassle us with the paperwork. He helped and guided us through the entire process! We are very pleased to be in our Mazda cx-9!!!!! We recommend flow Mazda of Charlottesville!!!!
  • Pleasant car leasing experience

5 out of 5 starsby madhurbehl on 12/19/2017

I recently leased a MX5 Miata from this dealership in C’ville, VA. Overall, I must say I was quite pleased with the experience. I was confused between a few different cars and their configuration but Ray Jordan was very patient thought the process. He helped answer any queries I had regarding the different cars, and was very responsive in answering my mails, and providing quotes upon request. Upon the day of singing the lease, the entire process went through smoothly, and without any delays. Would definitely recommend.

I wanted to buy a Mazada CX5 with low mileage, nice color and lots of bells and whistles. Flow Mazada delivered! I worked with Ethan Shiflett and he was terrific. He explained everything, was patient, professional, and returned my call or email quickly. I would buy from him again. And--I love my new car
  • Best car buying experience in 50 years

5 out of 5 starsby kencanr on 08/06/2017

We needed a new car quickly due to an accident. We used Consumer Reports to decide on a Mazda CX 5, and used multiple sites to research dealerships. Flow Mazda was consistently rated close to 5, when all other dealerships within 200 miles were rated 4 or lower. We made an appointment with Ray Jordan as he was consistently praised for his customer service. Our expectations were exceeded, as Ray made the process the easiest and most fair we've ever encountered. His knowledge of the models and options is exceptional, as is his orientation to all the high tech features of the 2017 Mazda CX5. We also want to thank Howard Grooms, who spent a considerable amount of time locating the vehicle we wanted and getting it to us sooner than we could have hoped. Flow Mazda is the best dealership by far we've dealt with in over 50 years of car buying experiences.
  • Good Experience

I purchased a 2017 Mazda CX-5 less than a week ago at Flow Mazda in Charlottesville, VA. Ray Jordan was my sales consultant. Safety is a high priority for me, and I was pleased when Ray explained the safety features while showing me the CX-5. Ray spent all afternoon walking me through what I needed to know to make a wise choice of features and details. Buying a car is normally a drawn out process but nice people can make such processes less of an ordeal. Ray listened to me, and answered all my concerns. We got through the paperwork without much pain/confusion/frustration, and I was pleased to drive my new Mazda home that afternoon. Now I understand that parts and service are integral responsibilities of owning a car. And when you want to drive a high quality vehicle, parts and service are not cheap. Who would want cheap, inferior parts and service? I wouldn't. I just hope that, as with my other Mazda cars, parts and service calls will not happen too frequently. I appreciate all the help Ray and Flow Mazda provided with registering the purchase with the DMV and my insurance. They arranged financing for me and helped me choose the most appropriate plans. In short, this purchase was pretty much painless all the way around. I felt appreciated and respected as a person, and at least this far I am a happy customer. I'd like to add that my little dog Molly actually "asked" me, in her little way, to take her for a ride, yesterday. If that isn't a recommendation for Ray and Flow Mazda, I don't know what is.
  • Great Experience at Flow Mazda

5 out of 5 starsby Brentthegreat on 04/28/2017

We visited Flow Mazada of Charlottesville and were lucky enough to run into Ray Jordan. He kept in touch while we took care of getting rid of our other car, as well as letting us know about deals. He was helpful, friendly, and helped us find a great deal on a car we wanted. We are happy that we found Flow Mazda and Ray.
  • Happy Customer

I searched on the Internet to study the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5 when I was in the market for a new car. The Mazda won out for several reasons, an important one being that I'd owned a Mazda 626 several years ago and really enjoyed it. I went to our local Mazda dealer to test drive the CX-5 and was fortunate enough to have Ray Jordan as my salesman. Ray was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very patient! He explained things clearly and made the whole buying experience a pleasant experience. He was very helpful in explaining the dashboard and even helped enter an address in the navigation system so I could have a real demonstration. And he very kindly checked on me about a month after I'd bought the car to make sure everything was still going well, which it is/was. His card is in the front of my owner's manual folder in case I ever want to reach him directly. I know he means it when he says I may call him at any time with any question. Ask for Ray!
  • Great experience at Flow Mazda

I was not the easiest car buyer but Shane Puffenbarger and the staff at Flow handled all my questions, comments and idiocyncratic requirements with intelligence, patience and good humor. It took a month but Shane stayed with me until he found exactly what I was looking for and then some. Now let's find out what the Service Department is like!
  • Great Group

Great group. Didn't purchase a Mazda but went through the Flow Auto group and continued working with Shane Puffenbarger still. Fantastic salesman—low pressure, and extremely responsive. Highly recommend!
  • Purchased a new Mazda 3

    5 out of 5 starsby Rtang42 on 11/27/2016

I went to the Flow Mazda dealership in Charlottesville yesterday to look at Mazda 3s. I worked with Ray Jordan who was very knowledgeable, let me drive both models I was interested in, and was very patient while I decided. The dealer rebates were also very generous. After I picked one he spent extra time showing me all the electronics on the car I needed to know.
  • Disappointed Customer

    1 out of 5 starsby Brabbit7 on 09/01/2014

I was very disappointed with the service we were unable to receive today at Flow Mazda in Charlottesville. We came in to test drive cars to see if I like how they ride compared to my BMW. We were promptly greeted by Levi C who was our sales consultant and I say this title generously. I told him up front that I wanted to test drive three different vehicles to see if I am interested in your brand of vehicles and that I am looking to buy within the next six months. It went downhill from there. During our first test drive (used 2010 Mazda 3 S Grand Touring) he was unable to tell me the difference between the older Mazda 3 and the newer Mazda 3 other than "it's totally different." During the second test drive (CX-5 2015 Grand Touring) he was only giving me one word answers and was unable to elaborate on my questions. Then when I asked to drive a new Mazda 3 so I could feel the difference from the older model I was told "I can't keep letting you test drive all day. This is one of our busy days and we have other customers who are looking to buy." We test drove the third vehicle (2015 Mazda 3 Touring) by ourselves because Levi didn't want to be away from the sales floor. I had a scary experience driving this vehicle because it would not accelerate going up a large hill, so I had to pull over. When we got back to the dealership Levi was busy looking at his cell phone and eating a bag of chips. I explained to him the experience I had and asked him if this was normal. All he said was "well if you didn't like the way that drove then we have about 600 more to choose from online." I understand that there are busy sales days because my brother was a car salesman, now a finance manager, but there is no excuse to treat a customer this way. I can say I have never felt so unappreciated and undervalued as a customer. This is my third car purchase in the last year and I have never been treated this way at any other dealership. Levi should review your mission statement "to serve the total automotive needs of our customers in an unparalleled manner" because he failed miserably today.
  • Tricks with used cars

3 out of 5 starsby VaClassicrider on 01/29/2009

I purchased a 2002 Nissian Altima from Flow in March of '08. From the start there were problems that should have sent out red flags but I wanted to get a car for my son that would get better millage. I made the deal, came back to the show room with an interest rate 4% less than theirs and found that the manager made a mistake and that I needed $1000.00. The price was right but the guy told me a figure that very clearly came out after my deposit. Nope. I needed to add 1K more! Had I known what was to come, I would have gone elsewhere! There were a few things I wanted fixed and never did they fix them to my satisfaction. The star in the windshield that was covered with signs, the over spray from painting the bumpers and a remote key that was promised at least 4 times. These people invented lying! Within 1000 miles the car had no oil. I took it back to them well within the warranty and they claimed that it was a Nissan problem and sent it off to the Nissan dealer to get a new engine installed. They did give my son a rental but after a few weeks they wanted it returned because the warranty/insurance wouldn't pay for the car. I refused and that was then end of that. My son told me that the left rear was making noise. I knew it was the breaks so I jacked up the car and removed the pads only to find that the low pad indicator had been bent back after it already had wear on it. Some might say that could be done by anyone but after my experience with Flow, I know it has to be one of their tricks. Low pads, bend the tab back so it won't make noise. Then when the breaks make noise it will be a rotor and pads! Thanks Flow for being honest and spending $20.00 in parts to replace break pads! Yea, that was total sarcasm! From this day forward I will never say a kind word about these [violative content deleted].
