Flow Mazda of Charlottesville
Dealership Sales Review
I've purchased many different new makes and models of cars in many states over many years. Most of my sales experiences have been horrible at worst, tolerable at best and usually painful and drawn out. I recently needed a new vehicle and zeroed in on a Mazda CX-5 Signature. As I strongly dislike the new-car buying process, I was reluctant, of course. My closest Mazda dealer was 30+ miles from my new home in central Virginia, but one recent Saturday, I buckled down and went for it. When the sales exec walked out I was wary. But thankfully it turned out to one Ray Jordan. He was low-key and kept his distance, helpful when we needed it and far from pushy. Just what we needed. We test-drove the vehicle and knew it was the one we wanted (over a Subaru we were close to purchasing and closer to our home). After some back-and-forth (but NO pushing) with Ray via texting, we agreed to close the deal. There was no pressure. No demand for money up front. No DO IT NOW attitude. He answered our many questions patiently and with grace, and we settled on a day to close the deal. We did not spend many, many hours in the showroom closing the deal, as with past dealerships and purchases. It was smooth and comfortable. The sales manager went through the lengthy process of finishing the purchase, wasn't aggressive about insisting we buy (needless) extra items (gap insurance, after-market maintenance plans, paint protectant, etc.). Ray was patient going over the vehicle's many ins and outs with us and sent us on our way with a promise: He would be there long after the sale to help us. He has been, with some minor issues and how-to's on features It's a complex car with lots of features). In short (and this has been long, sorry), Flow so far has been a joy to deal with, though I have no experience yet with their service department). But if you're considering making a purchase, find Ray. He's the man!
