Our family had shopped throughout NoVa for a used Honda for weeks. We stopped in to Honda of Chantilly and that was the last place we shopped. DollyRose Jones and the team at Honda of Chantilly made our experience one of the best car… purchase transactions we've ever had. In addition, the team at Honda of Chantilly Service Dept., including Matt B., were excellent when we brought the car for service. Very fair, very easy to work with. Highly recommend. He did not hassle or threaten like most other salesmen as if you have to take their offer or else! The whole process was quick and seamless, we say for… negotiation for only about 1 hour. We were never pressured or given a hard time even when we walked our without doing holding contact. Just because of that they got my business soon after I found my own loan from my bank two hours later. Tyler Stewart was my sales consultant and he is excellent. He is extremely… knowledgeable,not aggressive,patient and guided me through the entire purchase which can be frightening when making such a large purchase. by scottr11 on 03/04/2015I've bought my past several cars from Fairfax Honda. I decided to give Honda of Chantilly a shot since they are new to the area. My original appointment was with Thomas Harper, but he got caught up with business at the Auto Show, so I was… assigned Keith Harrision. Keith greeted my wife and myself with a warm smile and very accommodating attitude. The original car I had looked at on the internet wasn't going to work out for us, so Keith took his time in helping us find a vehicle that would fit our budget and our needs. Keith was very observant in that he knew I was planning on buying a vehicle that day. He listened to our need and made recommendations off those conversations. After a couple of hours, we were the happy owners of a new Honda Civic Coupe. Here's the impressive part about the entire experience: My wife HATES going to dealerships. She can't stand the back and forth games that can go on during negotiations. I'm pleased to say that my wife had NO problems with our business negotiations with Keith. That's a HARD thing to accomplish! As I noted, we were impressed with the time Keith took with us...we were the LAST customers there on a Saturday night. Thank You KEITH. Keith also called me back on Monday morning to make sure everything was ok and to follow up. There were three issues that needed follow up. As I write this, the major issue is being worked on right now. When I pick up my car this evening, I have every bit of confidence the other two minor issues will be resolved...if not tonight, then in the near future. After the last two issues are satisfied, I will write a follow up review on that as well. I'm gushing about the marvelous experience I had at Honda of Chantilly, but I feel the need. When I bought my last few vehicles at Fairfax Honda, I have to say they set the bar high. I easily bought my vehicles there after presenting the sales associates my research on the vehicle {s} I wanted to purchase. Keith Harrison had the same professionalism but he added more with his great personality, willing to work with me and most of all the desire to earn my present AND future business. He accomplished this by not being pushy, listening to our needs, not bringing in other parties to help seal the deal and easy going personality. He goes out of his way to please the customer and earn the business of the customer. When I had to drop off my vehicle last night, he stayed at the dealership past his working hours until I arrived. That's pretty awesome in today's business climate. I would highly recommend Keith for all your vehicle needs and will be advising friends to go see him when it's time for them to purchase a new vehicle.Mike Waters is the best!
by hubcaps on 03/03/2015“We had an excellent experience buying our 2015 Honda CR-V Touring AWD from Honda of Chantilly. Anybody thinking about a Honda should consider them. We reached out several weeks ago to salesman Mike Waters because of the great reviews… for him we found online. He deserves all that praise. Mike dealt with us fairly, he was responsive, and he treated us with respect. For example, we used email for most of our discussions with dealerships. A lot of salesmen kept saying we needed to come in to hear their best deal. That’s ridiculous. That’s just an attempt to rush a buyer into making a purchase. Mike didn’t do that. He understood how we wanted to operate and he didn’t push us to come in until we were ready. On top of everything else, he got us a very good deal. Mike’s approach meant that when we did go to get the car, all the details were in order and we felt at ease. He’s a top notch salesman in our book. When we picked up the car we also dealt with Robert Fraker of the dealership’s finance team, and Andy McMurtry, who demonstrated many of the car’s tech features. Both were excellent. We came in with pre-arranged financing at a very attractive rate. Robert didn’t waste time trying to talk us into something else because he knew he couldn’t beat what we had. What’s more, his effort to sell us an extended warranty and paint and fabric protection was subdued and respectful. We knew he’d try (every dealership does), we listened, we told him no, and that was that. It was great that he didn’t push it beyond that. After all the paperwork was completed, Andy spent almost an hour with us going through the car’s safety features, settings, satellite radio, and navigation. It’s a lot to absorb at the end of a long day. He did a great job explaining what we were most interested in rather than insisting on going through an entire prepared briefing. One thing about the dealership building. It’s new – open less than a year – and that made a huge difference in the overall experience. Every part of it is clean, including the enormous service area, and the waiting areas are bright and open. Now, we were there early on a weekday morning, so I can’t say what the place is like on a busy Saturday. But as dealerships go, this one is top notch. Overall, I recommend Honda of Chantilly to anybody who will buy a Honda. It’s out of the way for a lot of people, but worth the trip.Go see Chris Durbin in Service
by hubcaps on 03/03/2015We did not have service issues per se. We had more questions about our new 2015 CRV Honda Touring AWD and wanted to show Chris some items on the car. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. He said to email him anytime if we… had anymore questions. Chris was knowledgeable, honest, and focused on our concerns. We came all the way from Alexandria, VA during the week and did not want to deal with anyone else. We paid a lot of $$$ for our new car and we want to make sure we understand how the car works. We have not bought a new car since 2006 and now it is like driving a computer. We hope when we have actual service done we will still have a 5x feeling!Keith Harrison went above and beyond what I would have expected.

Since I was coming a long distance to buy this car, I was overly cautious and… thorough. Keith was patient and went out of his way to help. He picked my husband up at the airport and called to make sure my husband made it home safe. I highly recommend Keith Harrison.BEWARE OF THIS DEALER!!!
by sj9ninety on 02/05/2015This dealership should receive negative stars! My recent purchase from Honda of Chantilly was the worst experience I've ever had. Take every stereotype you've heard about car dealerships, apply them to this dealership, and they will all be… true. The level of incompetence and shady business tactics demonstrated by the staff at Honda of Chantilly is astonishing. I originally refrained from leaving this review however I felt obligated to inform potential buyers to BEWARE AND STAY AWAY. 1. After a long negotiation with a salesman we came to an agreement. Once I sat down with the financial manager to finalize said agreement he completely changed the original agreement. BAIT AND SWITCH. The manager claimed the salesman had informed him incorrectly and attempted to add $700.00 to the originally agreed upon price. 2. The financial manager then tried to remedy the situation by offering "free GAP Insurance" which would, "normally be about $10" a month. He continued to use this as leverage as a giant display in their lobby shows "FREE GAP INSURANCE INCLUDED WITH ALL PURCHASES". 3. I was owed money after my trade-in. I did not receive this check in the mail until FIVE WEEKS AFTER we completed the deal. Not only did it take five weeks but they sent the check to my neighbors address. This happened AFTER I visited the dealership to make sure I was still receiving the check. 4. The dealership processed the wrong VIN #, therefore I was driving around in the wrong car for 3 days. I had to drive back to the dealership to exchange cars. 5. After expressing my dissatisfaction to Honda the dealership contacted me to offer a "free oil change". I would have appreciated the gesture had the salesman not already informed me that ALL VEHICLE PURCHASES COME WITH A COMPLEMENTARY OIL CHANGE. BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP AND STAY FAR AWAY. Complete dishonesty and will take every chance to try and take advantage of you!!Ask for Jon Carlton

When I told him I would not be ready to purchase until December, Mike was respectful of my timeframe. When we did get together to make the deal, he did not… pressure me. He asked questions, listened intently, and truly understood my needs (and wants). His offer was fair and, after minimal negotiation, we came together on a deal. Everyone I dealt with (sales, business office, and delivery) was respectful, eager to please, and determined to meet/exceed my expectations. The car is great and the sales and delivery experience were just as great. I'd buy from Mike again.Great Experience

I purchased a Honda CR-V and the sales consultant - Saxon Reynolds - was very patient and knowledgeable. Great… selection of used and new cars on the lot. Great customer service. My salesman, Mike Waters, was helpful and no pressure. He respected my process, answered my questions and… in the end let the car sell itself. Once we decided to buy, I was treated fairly; no tricks, no gimmicks. It was a real pleasure. I always enjoy driving a new vehicle but really don't enjoy the process of buying one. This purchase was truly unique and I will return here for my next Honda.Horrible Sales Staff - Waste Of Time

After receiving an online quote at a fixed price via TrueCar, we drove down from MD to VA, in rush hour traffic. The person we talked to, Scott, wasn't available, so we… had another salesperson, who was friendly, but seemed fairly new. After the test drive, we went in to go over the details. We then found out that what the phone/online associate quoted to us was incorrect, namely, that we would still be charged a $500 processing fee. While frustrated, we negotiated further and settled higher than we were expecting. This is when the Sales Manager, Rob Fraker, came over and tried to explain how they couldn't waive the fees any further, even though their salesperson told us he'd deduct them. So, either Scott was blatantly lying or was offering something he couldn't back up. Rob also seemed rather rude and condescending. Either way, that was the first sign something wasn't quite right with this dealership. We should have left right then and there, but we decided to stick it out anyways. So now we finally get the paperwork rolling. Meanwhile, our salesperson keeps running back and forth, telling us someone will 'be with us shortly'. To them, this means over an hour, apparently. By then, we've already been there nearly 4 hrs. already, well past their closing time. Getting tired, we asked Rob what was going on, then he quickly grabs a folder from right in front of him, as if it was sitting there the whole time. Only at this point do they begin to ask about payment options. Hello? Shouldn't they have been doing this during that whole time we were sitting there doing nothing, while they sat on our paperwork? If this is how their Sales Manager acts towards customers, it's a wonder they sell any vehicles at all. The level of disrespect and total lack of care is horrendous. No fancy showroom will make up for serious customer service failures. I hope potential Honda buyers look elsewhere for auto purchases. This dealer clearly does not care about actually selling cars.Chris Durbin provides excellent customer service!

I have been back several times to ask more questions, discuss repair options, etc. and he has been there for me… every step of the way. I could not have had a better experience anywhere! It is so refreshing to find someone who is knowledgeable in their job, and gets answers for you. (Even though the answers might not be great! My car is a junker!) I highly recommend going in to Honda of Chantilly. When you go in, ask for Chris Durbin. He will be able to take care of you and your car!Fantastic

I dealt primarily with Justin L., and I could not have had a better… experience. Justin was very knowledgeable about the details of the car I wanted, and very fair and honest when it came to determining a price. He was also EXTREMELY accessible, even going out of his way to communicate with me on his day off at one point! For all you potential Honda buyers out there, I highly encourage you to give Honda Of Chantilly a visit, and ask for Justin L. Though I had to postpone my car search for personal reasons, I know exactly where I am going and who I am talking to when I get back on the market: Justin at Honda Of Chantilly.Great experience! The entire staff was welcoming and friendly, and clearly had my best interest in mind throughout the… process. My salesperson (Saxon) was very knowledgeable and listened closely to my wants and must-haves before showing me the available options. I test drove two cars and asked a million questions, and I never once felt rushed or that I was annoying the salesperson. He was patient and informative and made me feel like he was on "my team." The sales manager (Chris) met with me as well, and right away I knew I would be getting a fair deal. The sales team was professional and honest. There were no surprises throughout this process. I even changed my mind totally about the car I wanted to purchase well into the buying process. Saxon and Chris were very patient and were happy to talk with me about the new car I was interested in. Chris worked quickly and efficiently to give me all the information I needed in making my final decision. The finance manager I worked with (Dan) was very friendly and eager to complete my buying process. I had come in close to closing time, so by this time it was after closing and Dan still seemed enthusiastic and happy about working with me. He was knowledgeable and efficient. There were no hidden fees or last-minute add-ons. Dan worked very quickly and explained all documents clearly and precisely. I had an amazing experience with Honda of Chantilly, and I would advise anyone looking to purchase a car to go out and see these great guys!State of the art dealership - worth the drive
by erikay on 07/16/2014We traded in our vehicle and purchased a certified 2011 Honda Accord in April. My husband and I had been to a few dealerships before going to Honda of Chantilly (we're from Gaithersburg, so it was a hike!) one night and this place swept us… off our feet. We got there at about 8pm but we finally left around midnight with our new (to us) and totally amazing vehicle. They are a state of the art car dealership. Aside from the gorgeous, brand new facility, we were immediately impressed with the music (of all things) they had playing. We made several subsequent trips there over the course of a few months and we always enjoyed their music. It's not unusual to have to wait your turn to see whomever you're going there to see, but they have a totally classy waiting area. Very comfortable, ample seating, and free YUMMY Starbucks coffee. They also have a quiet room with a massage chair. We may have used it. More than once. :) We couldn't have purchased our car without the wonderful Dan F in Finance. We were also assisted (and WOW'd) by Sales Manager Nik and Chris in Service. They're well worth the drive from anywhere in the DC metro area. We'd recommend them to anyone we do or don't know! PS -- if you're purchasing a used vehicle, you aren't treated like a 2nd class citizen at Honda of Chantilly like you are at many other local dealerships. No shady stand-alone buildings for the used car peeps. Everyone is treated the same here and everyone functions out of the same building! Feels good!Great Service Department!

The prices were exceptionally fair and I was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face, as Jason M, the former Service Manager of Pohanka Acura, is now the Service… Manager of Pohanka Honda of Chantilly. He did a fine job ensuring the service staff took care of my vehicle and gave the same wonderful service that he did before. We negotiated with several dealers over email on our Honda Odyssey EX, but when the prices got low and very similar from a couple of them, we choose to work with Rob as he gave very… straightforward, detailed responses, and got back to us same day on every question about the offer. The experience at the dealership was good both while leaving the deposit and picking up the car. Although there was a bit of the dealer wait experience when picking up / waiting on the financing person, it was better than most of my previous car buying experiences and there was no last minute switches or changes. i would recommend Rob F and Honda Chantilly to others for new car purchases, they seem to have it together even though the dealership has only been open a short time.Restored faith in Car Salespersons!

Rob called me less than 5 minutes after my online submission. He gave me a… competitive price and also gave me the "out the door" price for the car (a 2014 Honda Civic EX in Dyno Blue Pearl), which is what I really wanted to know. He also said he didn't have the blue car that I wanted, but would call around and see if he could find it. We made an appointment for him to call me back as I had a dentist appt that morning. He called me back before the appt to tell me he thought he had a lead on the car and would confirm at our appointed time. He called back exactly on time, and not only told me he found the car, but was at the dealership picking it up for me! When I arrived at Honda of Chantilly, Rob showed me around, and I told him about another offer I received after talking to him that was a little lower than his offer, and asked if he would match it, and he did. After my paperwork, I was introduced to Dan F, who worked with me on the financing. Dan was not only very funny, and made my experience even better, but he was extremely knowledgeable about finance (not just car finance, but general financing and accounting). He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want or tweak numbers out of my favor. I went to the dealership fully knowledgeable about current new car financing rates, and I got exactly what I wanted. I think that sometimes it can be difficult for sales and finance people to deal with buyers like me. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and what I was willing to pay for it. I think a great salesperson is able to negotiate where everyone comes out of it feeling good, and that's exactly how I feel. Rob and Dan are a great team, and they have truly restored my faith in car salespersons and finance persons as well as putting the fun back into my car buying experience. by jhk89 on 04/26/2014updated 08/31/2025I am rating 4 stars as an average - 3 for some of the sales managers that had the audacity to offer me above market price and present it as a discounted price; and 5 for Mr. F's transparency in his correspondences, willingness to reach a… suitable compromise, and provide a satisfactory purchasing experience. After multiple rounds of correspondence with Mr. F via email, I decided to come down to the dealership and made my purchase. He was transparent in his approach and we were able to reach an acceptable compromise for the final price of the vehicle in the last round of negotiation. My first visit to the dealership was not exactly pleasant, as two different sales managers insisted that the final price they were offering was fair, which of course turned out to be much higher than what I ultimately paid. Mr. F, however, was able to make mends to the shortcomings of his colleagues. He beat the lowest offer I've had by 10% as promised and was able to earn my business. I signed the agreement and after going through financing, I was done with the whole hassle and was out of the dealership in about 2 hours. Pleasure doing business with you Mr. F - it was well-deserved.
