  • Service writers need more training

    Josh is pleasant to deal with, but lacks basic knowledge of the vehicles and warranty coverage. I came in with my 2014 Silverado with 41,000 miles on it, I told him I had a miss in the engine and rough idle. I also told him that I was a retired Chevrolet Master Mechanic and that I had ran a scanner test and found a cold start problem on cylinder #5. Indicating a clogged fuel injector. He told me that there was a $90. diagnostic fee, but I wouldn't be charged for it because the vehicle was under warranty. I questioned this knowing it was above 36000 miles . He assured me that it was. I was not surprised when he called back later telling me that it was not under warranty and that I would have to pay the diagnostic fee. I agreed because I knew it was not covered above 36,000.miles. They had to keep it over night because it would only show the code on a cold start. This indicates a partially clogged fuel injector. And I was expecting him to call back the next day saying that it needed a fuel injector cleaning. This type of repair at other qualified shops would be around $80 to $100 Plus the $90 I had previously approved. Instead Josh said the repairs would be over $1,000.00 and they would need to replace the injector and clean the others. Also it minstrelsy changed from cylinder #5 to #6. I retired in 1995 but I thought this to be way too high to replace an injector and clean the others. (They screw in about like a spark plug) I checked with another local ASI certified shop operated by a man that I had worked with at another dealerships for several years and was quoted $265.00 to replace the injector if needed and $85.00 to clean the injector system. I also checked on line for local repair shops and the average price was $225 to $327 to replace the injector. it

    Over the past week and a half I have been dealing with Oscar in their service department. He has been great in keeping a constant line of communication at all times and making me aware of any potential findings and plans for completing repairs. He has done an extremely good job in working to keep costs for myself to a minimum as well as committing to complete repairs in a reasonable time frame. He has also gone above and beyond the scope of service in providing adequate options for transportation while my vehicle is being serviced. Would definitely recommend Oscar and his department to others in need of service and repairs.

    I just want to tell everyone how pleased I am with the service Ernesto Lopez gave me. I went in not knowing what I really wanted. I told Ernesto what my needs were and what my finances were. He looked at all options for me, including, leasing, buying pre-owned, and buying new. He didn't pressure me either way and never asked me to go above what I couldn't afford. He went by the numbers I gave him and came up with the best offer for me. He was very kind and patient. I ended up getting a new Cruze with all the rebates. He worked with the financial manager who was also very kind and worked on getting me the best rates. Ernesto also spent time setting up phone services and all the other stuff, such as OnStar and radio stations. I appreciate the fact that he seemed to really care and didn't pressure me into any decision. I am extremely happy that I came to Autonation!

    Took care of everything. The truck was completed earlier than promised. Due to the nature of the warranty work, a loaner was provided, the same model as our vehicle. Love it!!!!

    I have no complains from the time I was given a ride to work to the time I was picked up from work to get my car everyone was wonderful and the service is like no other that I have received anywhere else. I would high recommend this company.

    I was on my way to Austin from Dallas when my alternator light came on. Normally I would just replace it myself, but since I didn't bring any tools I thought bringing it to a dealer would be ok. BIG MISTAKE. Once they found out I was going through town, they basically raped me at the cash register. These guys charged me 522.26 for a REBUILT alternator that I could buy brand new for 128.00. The total charge $1273.74. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
