  • Just didn’t do what they said they would do.

    I bought a used Lexus and the salesman told me it had two key fobs but the previous owner still had one of them. He said he would get if for us. Days turned into weeks and we still don’t have the second key fob. Now the salesman says used cars only come with one fob. That’s not what I was told when I was buying the car. Not sure why he would tell me one thing and weeks later tell me something totally different. If he had told me when I was buying the car I would have accepted it but nobody likes being mislead. I am very disappointed that such a nice upscale dealership would do something like this. It’s not hard to be honest.

    The used car salesman saw my online inquiry had come in overnight, and had sent a reply back to me by 9:00 the next morning. We set an appointment, went over the car, and the decision to purchase was easily made. The financing was approved right away with no hiccups. I've purchased over 20 vehicles in the past from dealers and this was the smoothest of them all.

    The Good: The dealership’s convenient location made it easy to view the X7, which my wife was interested in. The sales team was accommodating and patient, providing a pressure-free environment during our car-buying experience. The Bad: Our interactions with the Finance Director, Theo, significantly marred the experience. He employed scare tactics, using handwritten notes to suggest that brakes would need changing sooner than expected to push us towards expensive maintenance contracts. His initial quotes were much higher than those listed on the official BMW website. After insisting on the advertised price, Theo reluctantly agreed to match it, but not without claiming he might lose his job over it. This negotiation unnecessarily extended our meeting for several hours. Additionally, Theo promised to email all documents and manage the transfer of my military plates. Four weeks later, none of these commitments have been fulfilled. Follow-up calls have been met with reassurances but no action, culminating in incorrect plates being prepared and still no resolution or proper communication from the finance or after-sales teams. This lack of professionalism and accountability has been disappointing, detracting from our overall satisfaction with the vehicle.

    • Update: this review should be adjusted to one star. Not only did the management staff not complete what they stated they would do, in order to fix the issue. They actually just handed me the wrong plates and said, well; unfortunately there is nothing more we can do, just go ahead and go to the tax office and fix it yourself. But don’t worry, if you are charged any fees, we will work to get those reimbursed for you!! Just truly astonishing!

    If I could leave zero stars I would. BMW The Woodlands has been by far the worst car buying experience I have had in the past 20 years. The ONLY reason why I chose to continue my purchase with them is because they offered 10k over what Porsche offered me for my 2021 Cayenne. 1. They lied about trade in price. We agreed to 53k, when I came to sign the sales docs they had it at 47k. 2. They lied and said that TWO $699.00 auto-nation fees were “mandatory” and “not removable”. An obvious lie. 3. We agreed to one price before arriving for closing and the price upon arrival was 20k over what we agreed to with ridiculous add ons and “fees”. 4. They lied and said I did not qualify for the Military Incentive program because I “did not finance through BMW Financial” and was using USAA instead. So we’re clear, the program applies to ALL military no matter who you finance with. 5. They lied and said we’d be closing quickly, in and out… nothing was prepared, we walked out. 6. Their vehicle trade-in appraiser lied and said the Cayenne needed three new tires. It did not, all 4 tires are LITERALLY 4 months old, purchased from Porsche North Houston with tire warranty. When presented with the facts/receipts nothing was said/done to correct their lying employee. 7. They refused to share the APR / Terms emailed to them from BMW Financial, even after being asked three times. 8. After being told that I filed a complaint against them with the BBB and Texas Attorney General they tried to play the victim saying they felt “threatened” as if holding them accountable for their poor sales practices was a “threat”. We filed an official complaint with the BBB about their deceitful sales practices. Again, the ONLY reason we returned the following day was because they offered 10k over the trade-in price Porsche had offered. While Aaron was a great salesman and “made things right” in the end there is no reason any of these shady practices and behaviors should have occurred to being with. Then, at closing, they tried to suck up to us and said “the survey you will get is only about your experience with Aaron, your sales guy”. Again, lying in an effort to hide their poor conduct and shady practices. As if this was our first time ever having been given a dealership sales survey. Even in the end, they chose to lie. I am happy with my BMW, the X3 is a beautiful SUV that drives like a true BMW. This dealership/sales team on the other hand are the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

    Upon arriving at BMW of the Woodlands, I was greeted by James, the salesman. He listened attentively to what I was looking for & offered a test drive. I drove 3 different vehicles that day & found the right car at the right price for my needs. After driving these cars, although each was a different model of BMW, I realized that when BMW calls them the ultimate driving machine, that is exactly what they are. Each vehicle has its own characteristics but all drove amazing. The team from start to finish were very friendly & accommodating & I would recommend a visit to them if you’re looking for a great vehicle like a BMW. I have purchased many cars from many dealerships over the years but I have to say that BMW the woodlands is one of the best experiences so far as it was an unpressurized experience.

  • Horrible car buying experience!!!

    I recently purchased a used 2018 BMW X1 with 66,809 miles from BMW of the Woodlands. The CARFAX vehicle history report showed it was well maintained and while the AutoNation 125-Point inspection certificate noted a few items that needed to be repaired I was assured they had all been addressed. Two and a half months and 2,874 miles later while driving the car the transmission stopped working and I had to get the car towed back to BMW of the Woodlands. I was told that the driver front axle came apart and part of the pieces damaged the internals of the transmission, repairing the car (with a used transmission) would cost $21,159.44. Thankfully the car was still within AutoNation’s 90 day limited warranty and the transmission was listed as being covered. I was frustrated but I understand these things happen, I assumed I would get a loaner and I could just wait for the car to get fixed. Well it has been 2.5 weeks and BMW of the Woodlands still does not have any loaners available so I’ve had to make due without a vehicle. The only update I’ve been able to get is that the car is being serviced and they don’t know when it will be done. At this point I’m just contemplating buying another car and selling this one if I ever get it back. This is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had and is not the type of quality or service I was expecting from BMW.

  • Bmw buyers beware

    My name is Juan Luis zapata I'll put my name on this because I'm an honest guy my sales advisor Jay Amer Ali really worked with me and is a fantastic guy. He gets 5 stars 20 times over. BUT I really wish the upper management at the dealership would have done something about the valve cover/PCV valve that is whistling on my new used 2016 x4 35ibmw. Found the noise after signing on a high apr. Seems they even fought my salesman on the topic. Service manager Jimmy Franks tried to manipulate my confidence and told me not to let it bother me that it could drive like that but eventually a engine light would come on . then he precceded to try and convince me that if I'm competent enough it's something that I can do myself. After needing a car for so long and after having put a down payment and signed financing for another car that didn't pass inspection because it was full of problems and yes at this same location= it felt really bad being told I was over reacting. I feel that I was put under nasty pressure becausemy necessity of having to have a car really put my back against the wall and I did purchased the vehicle. I was already knee deep with no turning back after 2 previous promised cars I couldn't risk going somewhere else with so many hits to my credit score. upper management at this dealership didn't make me feel good about my purchase. as a customer especially at a dealership with such Prestige, management could have replaced the problematic valve cover considering that its not even that expensive and they do have it in stock.(I checked) and it could be a one day turn around. I did buy the vehicle under alot of pressure from my personal lack of a vehicle. I left with my used bmw car but I feel unsure and unsafe at the moment untill further notice. I would have gave all the stars in the world and would have probably referred everyone I know to the dealership if they would just have helped me out a little bit. BUYERS BEWARE 🙏😔 Hopefully they read this and if I'm helped I will retract my statement with an honest update. I'm an honest client who chose wrong apparently

  • 2021 BMW X7 CPO Purchase

    I worked with Brandon at the Woodlands BMW in my purchase. He was prompt and knowledgeable during my experience. He went the extra mile and made sure every question was answered and the vehicle I was purchasing was in great shape. He called me and let me know he found a small door ding that was missed that could only be seen at a certain angle and the did paint less dent repair to fix it. I highly recommend this dealership and would not hesitate to call them for future purchases.

    They did not detail my car if they would have they would have noticed the ants and spiders THOUSANDS of them throughout the vehicle. Worst dealership experience ever. Doesn’t help that I was in the car business recently for 10+ years I would never rear a client that way
